  1. Assuming this guy is guilty, let's show some compassion, too. Anyone who is sexually attracted to an 18 month old baby needs some help as well as some prison.

Are you serious? Or are you just trying to rile people up?

If he's guilty of sexually molesting an 18 month old child, and selling photos/videos of the molestation, we should show compassion?

I guess the second coming has happened and I was asleep.

    Welcome back.

FYI Sex in Japan with a 12 year old is quite legal in Japan (apparently)! :o

  2. The Thai Police need to quickly build a case around this guy, so he can perhaps rot in the very worst Thai prison rather than head back to mother england & be given the treats of free public defense & an endless waste of taxpayers pounds whilst he exhausts ever legal avenue in the british system :annoyed: .

The british could throw the Thai govt a few hundred baht each year to house this disgusting grub. I mean if the Thai police suspect he continued to abuse whilst here, whats going on with that?

Oh that's far too logical for most authorities!

Please note: The following comment only applied if this person is actually found to be guilty.

If Thai investigators do a little bit of creative investigating, perhaps they would find out he has sadly infected some of his young innocent victims with HIV (he would need to be found to be positive) then perhaps he could be tried for pre meditated murder, then if found guilty would receive the death sentence here and not before he gets plenty of abuse from other inmates who generally find this kind of crime very disgusting. (Dont think anyone would object to that)?

    :D

  3. My own opinion is: If it can be proved that this "Joke" was actually a drug dealer then I think everyone should leave the police alone. "The more we can rid the world of real scum the better" ;)

If it can be proved that he was shooting at police, I think it's irrelevant if he was a drug dealer.

No, I meant what I said if its proved without any doubt that someone is a confirmed drug dealer, let the police get really tough, including killing the bastards.

If "you" have had someone in your family fall victim to these peddlers of life destruction you will change your tune my friend.

And obviously if someone shoots at the police they must suffer the consequences and get fired back at. :D

  4. It goes deeper than that - 1,000 Baht mark up here and there does not work out to be 20M Baht in properties. BiB will be working (maybe) to solve this. That is why extradition has been stalled.

Really? Like sooo many of your infinately knowledgable comments, I'd like to know where your information for this comes from? I'm so tired of opinionated busy-bodies that I just want to seperate them from the rest. Which are you? So you think the mark up between China and the U.S. on the likes of Tev-tropin and others over 11+ years is not much? A few thousand baht?

Did you even read the article? I didn't see anything that stated the police were....oh, nevermind that obvious point...

Why don't you do the math for us Einstein, I'd like an in depth explanation.

After all, you've been taking up my time with your comments for years now.

    About time somebody checked you.

    John

Yes! dint you know about "Teleport Version 1.2" For PC and MAC.

Sorry this reply was for "Bagwan"

  5. It will be a shame if Big C replaces those unique European deli products with cheap items that sell well to the Thai market.

Its a shame they never properly market the special products they hold, for instance many french products have no translation into English or Thai so the shoppers dont dare buy them not knowing whats inside the packaging. I am sure there are not that many French speaking customers so these products no doubt get thrown away when the sell by date expires. :(

Would you buy - escargots au fromage ? :bah:

  6. In this case Un stands for - "Unscrupulous nargles"

But seriously the article states that they will be nominated for the United Nations Public Service Awards 2010, that is "nominated" long, long way from winning.

I could nominate the Pattaya Na Jomtien cop shop for this award but do you think they would win?

BTW what "is" the Arab doing there?

  7. So will the government please send their officers into all the game shops in Pattaya and round up all the many street urchins who call the "game shop home"?

Lots of these kids are on yabba and usually have a gang leader who gets them to commit crime, push them into underage sex for money and whatever extortionist methods they can get away with.

I am serious about this and something "permanent" should be done about this huge (but mainly hidden) problem in Thailand.

  8. he was well known arround Maprachan reservoir, where he lived and frequented de 9999 shop, He had a dauchter (about 6 years) with him sometimes and a new lady of about 16 years. He was a friendly, shy, polite guy. I saw no wrong in him .

Then you didn't see what others did ......

Indeed, nothing strange at all in a 49 year old guy with a 6 year old daughter and 16 year old "lady" - his current (presumably now ex-) "fiancee" was 15, living with him with her parents (paid for) permission. In a country like this you can live on the very edge of legality whilst satisfying what are to most people unacceptable urges. But with people around seeing no wrong in it, it ain't gonna stop anytime soon.

    Nothing wrong :jap:

    The law is an ass...

...a idiot. If that's the eye of the law, the law is a bachelor; and the worst I wish the law is that his eye may be opened by experience—by experience :D

  9. Of course Mr. Thaksin is welcomed by the the US, he has never done anything wrong and has always shown compassion and generosity towards his loyal subjects, he has never gained anything for himself or his long suffering family.

During his time in office he only drew his meager politicians wage and struggled to get by and provide rice for his family.

He is such a darling, no wonder he is freely welcomed around the world, I nominate him for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize for his exceptional work towards peace and equality.

  10. Isnt it about time the British honorary consul started to actually help its citizens? I guess if he had been an American their consul would have helped him out long ago?

    :ermm:

As previously stated there are questions and answers. We just dont what has preceded this.

Get the facts and make a knowledgable comment!

No need to be sharp with me! I am only putting forward a reasonable question to anyone who may have more info on this case than I.

I am sure if you were in trouble, mentally ill, or down on your luck you would appreciate a little help from your government representative, or are you above all that?

So do you have any of the preceding facts?

  11. Hmm... What a great idea! ;)

BTW . Red Bull is not a Thai product, its Austrian and has Chaleo Yoovidhya (Thai) as a partner:

Red Bull is an energy drink sold by the Austrian Red Bull GmbH. It was created as an adaptation of the Thai energy drink Krating Daeng (which translates as "Red Bull")

In 2009 it was discovered that Red Bull Cola exported from Austria contained trace amounts of cocaine. Red Bull has also been the target of criticism concerning the possible health risks associated with the drink.

    Info ripped off from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_bull

  12. Seems to me most farangs on this board are in favor of no law, no restrictions and a fear of a nanny state emerging in Thailand.

OK here are some great ideas I am sure you freedom posters will love:

    1) Introduce "trail bikes" on the beaches, riders can belt around the back and around deck chairs, do wheelies over the kids sand castles and play games of chicken, riders can even do doghnuts around people walking on the sand.

    2) "Beach parking" reverse your car right up to your umberella area, you dont need to even get out of the vehicle, just open the widows rev-up the engine to get the air blowing real kool and turn up the 2000 watt sound system.

    3) "Karaoke beach parties" 4000 watt sound systems hired out to groups of drunk karaokists right on the edge of the beach so you can float in the water with your waterproof radio mic. Prizes for the most un-human sounds a human can make, extra points for screeching, whaling, gurgling and growls.

    4) "Beach Cooking parties" - make a big hole in the sand, lay in a couple of old car tires, big chunks of wood, some discarded garments dose it with 20 liters of motor oil mixed with 5 liters of 91 gasohol (we want to be green here) construct a cage made from construction site rebar. Everyone on the beach then has a convenient fire for cooking whole pigs, nice big rats that can be from earlier hunting parties etc, A real good free for all open kitchen.

    5) Open "sex parties" on the beach and in the water. We'll invite all the girls & boys from the bars, the pedos, the swingers. (this will be especially funfull if done near a school or temple).

There are no ristrictions because this is a free country without law as some posters insist, so all the above will be no problem at all and no one will complain or get arrested, Right?

    :)

  13. This post make sense.

The government should insist on the ski operators to be 100% responsible for whatever happens, a) damage,B) injury and c) death, the law should insist on operators to be fully insured to cover a, b & c this insurance cover would attract a very high premium.

So the whole industry would become regulated and would compensate riders and operators, those who don't comply would be finned huge amounts or face jail terms. If someone is injured or dies the victim or family would be well compensated (I am talking about proper compensation, not the normal insult the government gives out to Thais such as 50,000 baht for loss of life, no this will have to be "proper" insurance ie. over 1M + us$ for a death) if the operator did not have the required insurance then he simply goes to jail and the boat confiscated.

    Who agrees with this approach?

    :D

terrible, in Thailand jet skis appear to be cursed, something to be avoided along with the scam as described in another post

Yes, cursed by a media and readers that pounce on tragedy and fear-based news. Granted this is sad news, but the fact is that thousands of people are killed in accidents around the world every day. What can we do? Ban jetSkis? That's not the problem -- the issue is careless, adventure-seeing risk-takers. Why does the news feel it has to report all of them?

Also every day *tens of thousands* of babies are born to ecstatic parents, thousands of medical "miracle" recoveries occur, numerous long-time friends are re-united, get new jobs, publish a book, invent a new cure, etc. Millions go about their lives every day working peacefully for good ends at charities, non-profits, and spiritual groups for the betterment of humans and the planet. Worst case, billions of people have a normal day. Does anyone ever stop to consider the relative weight which is given and perceived by the prominent promotion of freak, horrific incidents?

Where is all the reporting on the positive, optimistic, and inspiring good news in the world? It is out there for sure, but it seems most sites and newspapers like this are addicted to sensationalistic negativism.

We should do everything in our power to get these stupid Jet skis banned. Write articles, complain and protest and report every accident, Or a least confine them to a specific beach. People go to the beach to relax and swim, many times swimmers fear to enter the water. They are driven sometimes by very young children who behave irresponsibly and also thrill seekers. The biggest problem in Thailand is the lack of proper control, adequate insurance and a deterrent, and most of all by the irresponsible of people who own them.

Anyone who kills or maims someone with a jet ski should face very serious consequences

  14. I agree and disagree with your comment.

Personally I think they look great and they are not useless as they give people a lot of recreational fun and excitement.

But there are many issues with these machines that strongly warrant a ban:

    1) They are highly polluting and create a thin gasoline, oil and exhaust slick on the waters surface, this cotes swimmers in a petroleum film which is very unhealthy. Destroys marine life and the smell is horrible as well.

    2) In the hands of amateurs (about 99% of users) they are potentially highly dangerous and in worst case scenarios can lead to death and serious injuries.

    3) Noise pollution have you ever tried to relax and shut your eyes in a deck chair on a public beach? all you hear is the constant revving and droning sounds of motor craft.

    4) The whole business of rentals on the beaches (of everything) of Thailand seems to be un-regulated and looks like some kind of mafia or organized crime related business.

    5) Its not nice to see innocent visitors to Thailand getting ripped off even if they are from a culture that make them prime targets.

Basically they should be banned and only allowed during international water sport events such as the one they have once a year at Jomtien Beach.

    B)

Ugly & useless things. Can't they be banned?
