    This is the part of the Lese Majeste Law that the MFP wanted to abolish. It was only meant to protect the Royal family. The Junta extended to it that any criticism of the government could be classed as offensive and prosecute the individua. But now even a Thai restaurant, or a food stall can use it if they receive a bad review from a customer on social media.

    Not protecting him, but there have been cases of sexual and physical abuse committed by teachers of all nationalities, including Thai, American, Australian, and many others. Not just in Thailand, but Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia. Not to mention the UK, America and other European countries. Again, not defending him, just pointing out facts not prejudices.

    I taught for over 30 years. in Europe, Africa, and Thailand. Mostly younger children 8–12-year-old. Apart from the English language, I taught Math's and Science. It is very rewarding if done correctly. Seeing the joy on a child's face because they have achieved a 75% score on an exam which last term, they only achieved 20%. Plus, their joy at learning new languages together with exciting, and fun activities.

    No, he wasn't Starmer was the head CPS while Saville was being investigated. The Sun Newspaper was going to expose him in 2008 ,Starmer said there wasn't enough evidence to bring a prosecution. Plus the Sun Newspaper would face a libel case that would have cost them millions.

    If you can't snow medical insurance when you attend hospital, they usually ask if you have the funds to pay (out patient) If an inpatient, they will usually ask for a deposit and/or keep your passport. been in hospital twice since moving here, both times showed medical insurance, never had a problem. morale. get medical insurance, you know you have to pay.

    Same as the smart cars scan the passport and it shows up what visa if any you have.

    Any ID with a photo and name matching the boarding pass. I wonder if they will start checking passports at bus stations?????? You can overstay and travel to Chiang Mai from Bangkok rather than by air.

    From the Information I have the are unregulated insurance with-in England and France. I was told by a broker that they are under investigation. Don't know if true or not.

    They have voted to send this bill back to the house to be voted on. They said that the 2pm to 5pm band cause more consumption of alcohol and increased drunkenness, most agree it does nothing.

    This has been going around China for months. Respiratory problems in the young and old They were talking about it last October 23. Some places in China went back into a lock down. Thailand reported an increase in respiratory and flu like symptom amongst the young and elderly in December. Plus, they are talking about record pollution levels in some large Thai cities, so maybe trying to deflect.

    Why don't they do the same as the alcohol selling between 11 and 2 and 5 and 11, blame EVERYONE for the actions of a few and CLOSE ALL NIGHT CLUBS. That will stop the underage drinking.

    I see quite a few Thais (men) taking a piss in public. In fact in the Soi, I used to live in. the people two doors up would have a party and the party goers would piss down the drain on the opposite side of the road. Never a problem or a word spoken by Thais living in the Soi.

    I heard that, but wasn't sure about how much truth there was to it. Just in case I calculated that with my pension's income and with the B160,000 and without claiming any expenditure, such as rent, visa fees I would be required to pay B22,500. a year tax on my remaining income. But thanks for the heads up.

    My pensions both state and military are taxed in the UK. Plus, I have a fixed exchange rate The UK has a tax treaty with Thailand.

    I would have thought the incident involving the THAI police Officer and the Thai border guard having a shootout at a Thai restaurant over the affections of a Thai waitress working there, which resulted in one being shot in the leg and the other being shot in the head would have been more newsworthy.

    I think your wife should be commended for teaching your son home economics. I believe household chores should be shared out amongst the people living in the home.

    They can bring in ALL the safety measures they want, If the RTP are too lazy to police them, they won't make one bit of a difference.

    With you on that! Police always take the side of the Taxi mafia, and Thai bar owners. The incident where the tourist was dragged out of the taxi, If it hadn't been videoed and shown on social media, nothing would have happened to the taxi driver. They put big joke in charge of anti-corruption and he's the most corrupt amongst them. He was moved to an INACTIVE POST because of what he and his gang were getting up to in Bangkok's Go-Go Bars areas.
