  1. Hi their and that was kitchen king brand and not sausage king brand in makro. we export national thailand and can arrange for home delivery to most places. SK Rob

Ah sorry about that, it's easy to mixed up with so many 'King' brands. Due to gout problems I'm not a big meat eater anymore, I would buy from Makro or Villa etc. occasionally but paying a high premium for delivery just isn't worth it. Any chances of you supplying stores?

thats ok and if you wish we can send orders to you. we supply tops supermarkets but not in your area yet. Rob

  2. SK can deliver to most major city's and example Chiang mai - bangkok to a depot is 400B delivery charge and if door to door 1.200B in 10 wheel truck. we export all over Thailand

Those delivery prices mean your products are only available in Chiang Mai! I used to buy your sausages from Makro in Bangkok but they stopped stocking them quite some time ago, what happened?

  3. You can buy direct for many factory's in lamphun on the same road ,so from makro superhighway drive 20k down super towards BKK and Lamphun and you will turn left after the second gas station and all the furnisher places are their and cost 1/3 of the price as chiang mai. when you pass

makro Lamphun ask some one for BAN MAR its where the trade buy from and you can buy everything their you need. Rob.

  4. will we sell in stores. we sell in all rimping supermarkets in chiang mai and we are in tops super markets in chiang mai and looking to expand into new areas. Rob

  5. Joking aside, the only Item i have not seen here is Pate, in Aussie its made from duck or chicken livers,

Sometimes its flavour with brandy or other things, its a paste eaten on dry biscuits, very tasty.

Not many Australians have a hot Christmas dinner any more, usually a cold buffet of meats and seafood

or a barbecue both with salads and fresh bread, its to hot at Christmas time to be eating hot foods.

All the ingredients are readily available here. the one thing i miss is trifle made of cake soaked in sherry, jelly, custard

with fresh cream on top like my mother used to make we always had it at christmas

wow thats a very good idea pate and trifle. i will make them both for Christmas menu.and trifle with fresh double cream. i can make pate made from duck and chicken liver. cheers.

    4 I am from USA

5 My scores on food 1-10.........US food 10 Thai food 6

wow a lot of great food in us. Mexican food is very popular in the us right ? i have been taking notes of all the kind people who taken the time to give me feed back for our menu. A lot of great food we will look at at SK Rob.

Burrito's are a great seller as can microwaved. Spanish rice dishes, and my favorite are Japaleno peppers stuffed with sausage and cheese. Breakfast offering as well is breakfast burrito, with sausage egg and cheese in a soft mexican wrap with packets of salsa! I'll be glad to show you how to as far as the peppers and have made tons for visitors at home and at cookouts and they always dissappear fast!

Another popular dish for Americans is Lasagna as well as the carnival corn dogs, sold at every carnival and fair in US ans none available in Thailand same with an all beef hotdog!!

wow that sounds like my kind of food, do you have any pictures

  7. Sounds like the sausages will go down a treat in CR :)

Quick question, why have you got a picture of my Queen holding a gun on your website? She doesn't usually carry firearms, she has people to do that for her.

It must be to uk cut backs ? ha ha

Or, what you regard to be some kind of joke? The point of which eludes me.

how many western food restaurants are in Chiang rai ?? sk

  8. Look under his Avatar guys, SPONSOR

and BTW i dont mind people tell me what they got for sale, could be good for me not have to look around.

Everything they are selling and a lot more products are available at Villa Mart in Chalong

I think i saw there products there mixed in with the others

sorry but no offence to you all and this is not spam. However we do sell spam ha ha. joking. we want to know what the xpat like to eat at thanks giving and Christmas in Thailand..we are not asking anybody to order from us unless they want to. info please. Rob.

  9. Great looking menu, I'll be trying it out. Any plans to sell your products in stores?

Yes id like to know this, ive ordered several thousand bahts worth of meat from similar guys in Pattaya and the meat wasnt that good in all honesty so id rather try a little at a time.

Villa seems to sell from smaller producers.

Edit - English people eat some crap but gravy on biscuits or whatever that is looks truly revolting! bah.gif

At sausage king we only sell high quality food products and our food products with meat are fully loaded with meat. we are not a small set up but we stick to quality as good as M&S in quality, we manufacture all our products. if our staff not stick to quality they are out . sk

  10. Also at the intersection of super highway (11) and Chotana Rd (107) on the south east corner of the slip road you have about 3 shops, large, that sell all kinds of lawn mower, gas, electric, push, riding, cutters, trimmers.

The shop on the super highway and chotana road charged me 2.000 baht for service my mower ?? my motor bike only costs 150 baht. the mower has only been used 10-15 time from new and it still looks new so why i was charged a high price ? i can guess, they have two price tariffs at this shop.

I service our mower at the bike repair shop in Doi Saket. 500 baht.

So you pay 500b and me 2.000b ouchhhhhhhh

  11. We will not see the Maccas, KFC, etc close up shop in the near future. Strength of business plan and systems always gets these guys through.

The Mike's Original seems to be dropping off now IMO, especially over at Central on Heuy Gow KFC was absolutely packed as normal. Yet Mike's never had a single customers for the whole day I saw it.

The strong baht is definately hurting most- as a 200bt does not seem a low cost anymore. All about perceptions, the shock of seeing 29.xx bt next to the US dollar made me think 'How low will it go'. US not looking bright and rosy in the near future.

Is the strong baht a matter of this country (Thai) being held by the belief that they are doing better than most other countries. It will be a very light HIGH Season if the baht remain high- whilst their neighbours and Tourism competitor do not rise.

If you making your money in baht at the moment you are definately well in the money. Wished i changed over a lot more a few months ago, as it HURTS everytime I visit the exchange booth or ATM now.

Like many I suspect we been holding OFF on receiving any serious money as the baht was 20% better only a few months ago. So we are stuck on a price in our mind. If we are used to US dollar at 35bt then we do not wish to take 29bt unless an emergency. So that means we sacrifice visits to shops and resturants in the ST for what we hope will be LT gains. Well that the way I play it now- much like the stockmarket.

Yet who is to say it will not drop another 40% over the next year- now that has probably made many expats crap themselves- it possible yet not probable.

    :jap:

I agree with your assessment although what I think you meant to say was that 200 THB does not seem like a high cost anymore. You almost can't do anything with 100 THB anymore. Sure you can buy a beer, put gas in a motorcycle, buy a meal at a cheap Thai restaurant, etc., but that's about it. I'm sure people on this forum have noticed how much Thais are spending when they go grocery shopping at Carrefour, Tesco Lotus, etc. It ain't like it used to be years ago here...

no, i'm pretty sure he meant "low"cost...

I feel after the problems with the red and yellow shirts that chiang mai has not been the same for business. many restaurants have been hit hard and high rents not help. our work in chiang mai is down 25% because some restaurants have had to close. However bangkok orders have gone up ?? we are lucky as we not have high over heads. my advice is if your thinking to open a new business then do you home work twice. sausage king.

  13. Just go out and buy the Thinknet Chiang Mai MapMagic CD + Paper Map. Quite detailed... not too expensive either!

thanks for the info but do you know where to buy this in Chiang mai ? many thanks Rob.

  14. Is the problem with your address not appearing where it should be on google maps? I had a similar problem when I entered my guest house on google maps. Even though I entered the address as Tha Phae Road Soi 4 it placed me somewhere NE of Chiang Mai. I then had to edit it (edit button top right) enter my google account details and then physically drag it the marker to the right position. Or is it another problem?

Thank for that and i will try that. yes i use address right but the map is wrong so i will try what you did. cheers. sk. Rob.

OK, let us know if it works. Once you sort the right position are you Ok to link it back to your website?

i will give it a try and if i get stuck i will give you a shout. cheers. Rob.

  16. I don't know about prices in Chaing Mai but by Pattaya standards this is very overpriced.

    Another "Let's bleed the farang...."

Ive tried there goodies and there great. Price's are at least 30bt/KL cheaper than Pattaya on most thing's. EAT your heart out.

Thanks for all your reply s and yes we sk are 30% cheaper then what you have to pay their.Chiang mai is known to be cheaper place to live as we do not have a beach. However sk company is the largest western food company in north of Thalandi and we can deliver in most city's around Thai.

  17. Where are you folks located?

I'm interested in some of the US foods but am concerned about delivery. I am near Nong Bua Lamphu.

SK can deliver to most major city's and example Chiang mai - bangkok to a depot is 400B delivery charge and if door to door 1.200B in 10 wheel truck. we export all over Thailand

  19. Note to self ~ SK is not S&P in the freezer department.

Indian curry: I have yet to learn to love spicy. I can enjoy it, but need to make it ricey. So I found that after eating all the rice included, with reduced amounts of meat (lotsa meat!) and sauce spread lightly through it to color all, that the rice was gone and there were sauce and meat (lotsa meat!) left over.

So I made up more rice - a cup full of brown. Added sauce and meat (lotsa meat!) a little at a time, portion by portion and ended up with three more tasty main courses. Add vegetables and there you are. And as my rice was fresh made and never frozen....

Incidentally, in order to spread around the flavo(u)r, I divided the chunks of meat. Fat there was none - which is not the case with many street vendors and some restaurants.

thank you for you reply and glad you like Indian curry. in sausage king products we like to give our customers maximum meat content because when i but a food product i expect the same but i have never found yet. we like quality and maximum meat filling in all sk products, pies deep filled, sausage 95% meat-curry's full chicken. i not greedy about profit and quality always wins every time.

Good pictures and the taste is great

Happy you like the sk products and have a lot more products on our website that i would like to put in Rimping and tops supermarkets. The problem with Rimping is we share freezer space as tops we own sk freezers.i do believe sk has got the best selling food products in Rimping so far. That speaks volumes and we always stick to quality. thats the number one rule.
