Half decent 2.1 Computer Speakers in Thailand?
Pinot replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in Audio Visual AV
Check Shopee, I'm seeing them for less than 3500 baht -
I always advise NEVER buy property in Thailand. Rent is cheap and once you purchase it's difficult to sell. I have two friends who coincidentally happen to sell their homes in Phuket for half of what they bought them for. Both homes had been for sale for 10 years. 10 years. Buying a home in Thailand is a financial mistake.

Half decent 2.1 Computer Speakers in Thailand?

Presonus E3.5 I'm a musician and these are great monitors for the price...and they're great speakers for everyday use. Incredible value. -
Anamai Poll finds most Thais are concerned about November 1 reopening
Pinot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, most of Thailand are in that small group. Opening Thailand now, is too soon. Most of the population is unvaccinated and susceptible to getting and spreading covid. Every kid is unvaccinated. This move will kill thousands and it isn't necessary. It is these kind of opinions by the uneducated wanna be doctors, that spur on these wrongful decisions. You're just another some guy with a bad opinion. Covid is currently as bad as it's ever been. It is the wrong time to open the country -
Thailand ranked among the top 6 places in the world to retire
Pinot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not even a tiny little bit concerned. I remember the good old days when when a corrupt democracy produced anarchy under Yingluck. The woman was completely incompetent. I'll take the General and his ilk every time. The PM was elected by the way. I realize that may not fit your narrative but he was. Tell me this...who replaces Prayuth? Name one single politician who could lead a government that wouldn't be completely corrupt in six months. There are no choices. Prayuth was elected by a majority of Thais and has the overwhelming support of the Thai people. If there was an election tomorrow he's win again. Like many others on the way to 7/11? Secret meaning or just confused? -

My wife wants to fly from Phuket to Udon Thani after November 1. She's got all the shots. What's required? Test results? -
I lived in Kamala for the last 10 years. I think it's the best place to live. There is an expat community and schools. Plenty of places to choose from. Patong and Surin Beach are 10 minutes away. Fun place to live

Russian consul general gives his views on Phuket Sandbox
Pinot replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
"Russia’s government was still concerned about Thailand’s COVID-19 infection numbers?" Only 1/3 of Russians are vaccinated despite having plenty of vaccine for the whole population. The Russians can go pound sand! (jeesh) -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know

The reason you won't find it on Google is because it's complete and utter BS. Dig deep enough and you'll find support for horse dewormer somewhere... -

Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know
Pinot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You demean yourself with praise of horse dewormer. We don't have alternative viewpoints, you're comically delusional. "Thoughts and prayers" are usually offered to the thousands killed by gun violence that the far right perpetrates with its resistance to gun laws in the US. I offer my thoughts and prayers to the poor misinformed high school dropouts and those that continue to have "an alternative viewpoint" to the effectiveness of the vaccine in stopping the global pandemic. -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know
Pinot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Afraid of getting a jab? I don't get it. "A life lived in fear...?" What are you talking about? If you don't get vaccinated, you're far more likely to get very sick and possibly die after infecting everyone around you with your nonsense. You don't want to live in fear of what? Multiple vaccination and having to wear a mask? How is that living in fear? You're doing what society has deemed the way to respond to a pandemic as determined by experts. Not what some idiot high school dropout wrote on the Internet, actual trained experts. Or you can take horse dewormer. Thoughts and prayers. -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know
Pinot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What??? Who writes that? I just didn't realize there were so many qualified Immunologists, Virologists and Epidemiologists here on Asean Now. Get vaccinated. It's a couple of shots in the arm. Save yourself, family and friends from getting deathly sick. What's wrong with you guys? You'd rather not get vaccinated and expose yourself and everyone around you, so that you can cuck the libs??? -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know
Pinot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Excellent. Thoughts and prayers. I'm sure your background as an Immunologist led to your informed decision. Again, thoughts and prayers. Another brilliant opinion expressed by an educated virologist, obviously. Here I thought it more about death but I'm sure you're right, it's the economy. Snickers. You think? Ye gods there are some brilliant minds out there, no? Thanks so much for reminding us about the valuable works James O'Keefe is doing. Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010. The group produces deceptively edited videos of its undercover operations, which use secret recordings in an effort to discredit mainstream media organizations and progressive groups. I know when I and my MAGA friends need insight to what the truth is, I head over to Project Veritas. ???? -
May not be the place to post this but deodorant has started to make my underarms itch. No sign of rash, just itch. When I stop using it, it stops. Haven't been able to find deodorant that advertises itself skin sensitive. I'm using powder and cologne which work most of the time.

Buying english keyboard without thai symbols
Pinot replied to AndyAndyAndy's topic in IT and Computers
I'm using MX Keys from Logitech, their best keyboard with a new Mac Mini. I ordered it from Lazada. Highly recommended, English only -
In my Phuket Beach town all the restaurants are selling alcohol like this. I was in one the other day and there is the local police Commander sitting there with a bottle of wine on his table, drinking it alone. My guess is like stated above the bribe money wasn't paid. Tourists shouldn't come here. Hospitals that full, covid raging, a big majority of the population unvaccinated and crooked cops who can pull this nonsense whenever they want.
-
Another renown epidemiologist weighs in on the correct path back for Thailand...tsk Everyone advocating opening the country with schools closed, hospitals full, the population not even close to vaccinated and covid out of control, should really stick to something they know about, like say mongering. ????
-
I want to thank all the armchair epidemiologists overruling the esteem doctor's opinion as to what's best for the Thai people. Comforting that they know what's better. (Tsk) How about nee up unless you know what you're talking about instead of what you heard on Fox News from the brilliant mind of Tucker Carlson and his ilk (that's on 24X7).

Best local credit card
Pinot replied to dginoob's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I've asked at Kasikorn about a credit card and they just say not for farangs. Maybe because I don't have a work permit? I do recommend the K-web shopping card that I use all the time. It's a virtual card like a debit card that I use for buying things online (Lazada). That's easy to get.
