  1. No Thai ID for mutual funds. I'm trying to improve the return on the 2 million baht I've recently brought in. Bangkok Bank seems to be the answer at this point. I trade with Charles Schwab in the US.
  2. Do you wear tinfoil hats too? WiFi causes cancer. It's been proven
  3. I'm going to be able to open a Bangkok Bank account and trade mutual funds and buy bonds. I have to get a form from Immigration for something or other. Thanks for the input.
  4. No because that doesn't happen. Covid is still out there and can kill you along with the flu. Easy to stay up to date with vaccinations and a yearly flu shot. It's crazy that anyone would roll the dice on their own health. I see there are still plenty of idiots out there willing to die to cuck the libs. Turn off Fox News.
  5. I already trade through Schwab in the US. I recently brought in money to take advantage of the high value of the USD. I was hoping to get better than than just the savings rate .05%. Haven't found a way yet.
  6. Kasikorn has told me to eff off because I'm an American. I'm sure there are paperwork issues there. Are all banks like this? Where can I open an account and trade ETFs and possibly bonds?
  7. Question for Bangkok Bank farang customers. Can you trade stocks? I can't at Kasikorn. Looking to do better than just savings account rates
  8. I don't know, but I doubt it. Annuities are rarely the best route to go, anyway.
  9. And replaced with who? I can't wait till we get back to complete anarchy which is what we had till the General took over. I remain a big supported because I know there isn't an alternative.
  10. Just brought in $40k and looking for my best options. Will check out SCB's Easy Account but my question is what is the next alternative after not using a bank? Say a safe money market account from a broker? I realize I'm off topic here but maybe you can point me to a different post/thread.
  11. I don't see Krawie listed on the farm's page. It would seem to be a "must try" at 25% THC. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  12. Come on, man. Of course it's a real thing. Hurricanes are worse. Droughts are worse the planet is heating up at a ridiculous rate. Turn off Fox News.
  13. I always thought Thai Airways was great. I was on my way to Milan for a three month vacation when Covid hit. They still owe me 44,000 baht. Good news!
  14. Landslides are similar to other periods of heavy rain. This storm was exceptional, however. Is climate change contributing to the severity? I think so.
  15. Yeah, this stuff! You can see my post praising this compressed all bud red string ganja at a ridiculous price. 350 for 50gms? That something like $10 for 3.5 oz of thai buds? Have your more expensive stuff for the occasional treat and this for your daily smoke is my plan. That's until the price of the expensive stuff falls off the table. I expect that to happen in the next six months. My 15 plants are doing well. Some are 7 feet tall. They have got pretty beat up with all the wind and rain in Phuket this last five days. Come on sun!
  16. This kind of thing is the reason I remain pro-dictator. He also legalized abortion, remember. I've seen far less corruption under the Prayut rule. I think he's been great for Thailand. I don't want to go back to the anarchy offered before the General took over.
  17. I followed up on this tip and bought 25gm of "Red Thread" for 250 baht and can't believe how great this stuff is! I've been like a kid in the candy store lately, buying all kinds of great stuff with an eye on keeping the price down. This stuff holds its own with far more expensive weed. I think Red Thread traces back to Thai Stick. 100g for 599 baht? Come on. That's a ridiculous price for weed this good.
  18. I respectable human being doesn't support Russia and a maniac threatening nuclear weapons. I don't say this lightly, I will rejoice the day someone finds the guts to put a bullet into that creeps head.
  19. As far as I can tell, there are no restrictions on anything at the moment. Farangs growing, number of plants you can grow, who can sell it...nothing. It's wide open
  20. I've always been a big supporter of the General. I think he's done a good job and would probably be reelected today with a big majority. The alternative is Thaksin or even worse Yingluck, a couple of incompetent crooks that bought themselves into power. Let's not forget that Prayut came to power because there was complete anarchy. The General offered to broker the deal but the two sides were incapable of anything except more anarchy. It's been peaceful with FAR less corruption than when he took over. He hope he rules forever. My Thai wife loves the new Bangkok Mayor by the way, but he doesn't have a national party that could run the country. Thais are bad at democracy. My General has been a satisfying alternative. They just legalized ganja for Buddha sake! And legalized abortion this week. This guy is best liberal dictator a country can have! I don't understand the whinging that goes on here about him. Again, there is no viable alternative.
  21. I've got a $50000 sitting on the sidelines in the US. I plan on living here for the next ten years. The exchange rate is 36.5 Should I just take the win? I don't know what to do with it. It would be at Schwab in the US. Put it into a saving account at Kisikorn?
