  1. Well said. Occasionally someone distills it down to it's reasonable core. This is a race to vaccinate the Thai population before it goes Covid nuclear. The hospitals are full. These are really hard times and tourists don't belong here now!
  2. I got 40k credit that's good through 2022. I'd rather have the money but you know...TIT
  3. Tesco has a meatless burger with bun for like 35 baht. The TG gives it to me with cheese and vegies and the BBQ sauce it comes with. I think they'll make it for you in the store. Then there is meatless subs for burgers in many places now. Villa Market in Phuket and Big C both have various offerings
  4. Anyone needs a green pass I can get them...500 baht Sinovac will keep you off a ventilator. Take any vaccine offered to stay alive. Far from useless. I hate when I read this kind of thing.
  5. Because it's not meat? As a vegetarian this is interesting although I swore off KFC 25 years ago. I'm always surprised that Thais like KFC so much when all fried chicken is great here, far superior to the <deleted> they serve up. I eat a couple of meatless cheeseburgers a week.
  6. That's not true. Any of the vaccines will greatly improve your chances of not getting a serious enough case to put you in the hospital or kill you. Waiting for a better choice isn't the correct choice. When you have no choices take what's available. To say what you've written isn't true and dangerous. You're not a doctor. No one should listen to you.
  7. I have all the entertainment I need for free by downloading torrents from Pirate Bay and EZTV
  8. They should not be. Sinovac works about as well as the rest in keeping you alive. From what I've read a third vaccination of Sinovac is all that's really needed and Sinovac works as well as mix and matching. If you're choosing not to get vaccinated because of Sinovac's efficacy, you're making a deadly mistake.
  9. I want to thank the Thai government for creating the ridiculous "Phuket Sandbox" and getting me vaccinated. Buddha bless
  10. I changed the tint on my 10 year Thai car this year. I had a dark tint that was becoming a problem for aging eyes. I left all the old rear and sides the same and only changed the front windshield. I would suggest getting the best UV light tint for the front window and the the sides and rear, you can go darker and lower quality. I'm 71 and it was becoming a problem driving at night with the old dark tinted windshield. As an aside, my 10 year old Mazda 2 now has 25k miles on it. It's like a little old lady only drove it to church on Sundays. This car will far outlast me at this rate. I'm always on the scooter.
  11. I think the word that applies here is "efficacy". Until now the efficacy of electric bikes wasn't there because gasoline was is so cheap. Until now. Will the remarkable Ola S1 be the most important motorcycle of the 21st century? This Indian manufacturer is ramping up to produce an incredible electric bike at about the cost of a Honda Click. I think this will be a game changer for the electric bike. Fast, great range, fast charge in 18 minutes, I think this bike might change the "efficacy" of electric bikes! The one thing that we're all going to have to deal with when they do start showing up in large numbers is the complete silence of an electric bike. You don't hear them coming. But wouldn't it be fantastic not to have to hear Thai boys zoom zooming without the head rattling sound?
  12. What a shame, huh? Let me guess...Pattaya? By my calculations all the hospital beds in Phuket will be full in 10 days. Why would anyone in their right mind come to Thailand now? The misinformation from TAT was always ridiculous but this latest round of BS can actually kill you. Jesus wept. Stay away.
  13. So what? Who cares? Thailand is corrupt top to bottom. The military has been able to keep the worst of the corruption in check. If the General goes, Katy bar the door... Remember what is was like with Yingluck? Remember anarchy? Remember incompetence at a nationwide scale? That's the alternative. That's it! This Thailand democracy movement is incapable of governing. Thailand will chew up and spit out any politician from the democracy movement. I support Prayut. If he goes (he's not going anywhere) we return to the incredible corruption and chaos that was LOS before he took over. I'm a liberal democrat in the US and a dictator supporter in LOS.
  14. How MaAnn continues to hold the OrBorTor position is one of life's biggest mysteries. He's done nothing but line his pockets...forever. The absolute worst excuse for a politician in Thailand and believe me, that's saying something.
  15. I've solved the problem I originally wrote about. I called the help line for this info. I had to delete my Kasikorn K-Web shopping card then reentered it. It was that simple. I think I had to get to this credit card section by starting to purchase something, then delete and add your card again. I've read above that people were having trouble with the Lazada Website. I've also had different issues with it. You need to go your browser (Chrome) and delete history, cookies, data etc. Restart the browser and you're good to go. Good luck
  16. I do my 90 day report through the Internet. Fill in the form two weeks before it's due and it's approved a few days later. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm When filing out the form leave the Flight number blank
  17. In the past week I've been unable to complete a purchase transaction on anything on Lazada. I get a notice that they can't complete the transaction and the order will say "Payment Pending". When I try and complete the payment now, the same things happens. Anyone else having a problem?
