I tried to explain that to one poster last week but he didn't seem to grasp the concept of domestic community spread.
Think he thought johnny foreigners were the only people who could carry covid.
It's the narrative that has been pushed by the government & media since day 1

TB is still a major problem amongst the cattle in Thailand & it's very easily transmitted in raw dairy products which is why you won't see it sold here unless it's imported but the shelf life is minimal.

Best PCR options in Pattaya
There are mostly paid ads on google searches over here so I would also like to know if anyone has recent knowledge on this matter as I'm also planning a trip.
It's the whole point of a local forum

Cannot see the point in day 5 staying in "CHOSEN" hotels other than profit oppurtunity. You can walk around from day 2 to day 5 then have to go to the hotel and stay until your test comes back. Can anyone explain the logic in this?
What is this strange word 'logic' that you speak of?

They are starting to vax every child from 5 up now here so my cynical side doesn't trust this story, Thai media has been quite ruthless with projecting the government's project fear programme.

Oh I see, it is another oil spill.
Nothing to see here, move along folks as it's all cleaned up & the waters are as pristine as ever ????
I remember being down in a Ban Phe a year or so after the last publically admitted spill and my little ones where making sand castles as the beach looked spotless but once they dug down a few inches it was soaked with crude.
We couldn't get the stains out the the swimming togs.

I see this all the time. For Thais, well most times they are in the shade eating and drinking while letting the kids roam on their own. They can't be bothered to keep an eye on the kids.
No need as budda will take care.
RIP little fella.

Download the Bolt app book a freelance cab a lot cheaper.
It's often a regular taxi who just wants to guarantee a customer.

Internationally it's very rarely an issue & more especially now with low levels of passengers.
Get on early though so you have storage space

This woman has some serious issues.
Extreme hoarder points to extreme insecurity which were more than likely triggered by pretty bad abuse as a child & extreme poverty.
The lady needs help not more abuse.

I'm not going out until people stop dying full stop.
Bars open, children going to school?????
Madness I say, complete madness.
What will they think of next?
It might be a good idea to put all foreigners into permanent quarantine isolation until no one dies any more.
It would save the hotel industry, clean all those dirty banks accounts out & keep the place clean.
Win win as far as I can see.

Thank you for the info. That is one thing in Thailand that absolutely baffles me: in situations with long lines, there are no clear signs posted as that what each line is for. Same thing with the Covid vaccine lines at Central Festival mall.
I did the same at the Dept of Transport, I got there at silly o'clock & there was a queue of 100's of people, my heart sank as I joined the rear only for a good Thai samaritan to tell me after a few mins that "farangs stand over there".
There were 8 people in that queue & I nearly kissed the man.
I have no idea what the original queue was for.

They are from the UK & there are delays to getting passports so where would that leave the child?
No passport, no visa & will not have entered the Kingdom as a tourist either.

No. but things can change on a whim. They, the soldiers government, can do what they want as they don't have to depend on the electorate,
You would be retiring to a country run by a dictatorship where there are signs of the younger more educated middle classes starting to rebel & a massive underclass kept uneducated.
Hints of instability at the top that could get nasty in a few years.

If two foreigners on work visas here have a child whilest living here would that child be allowed to hold Thai citizenship?
If not then what is the visa status of the new borne child?

First we're told
'Test and Go unlikely to return until mid-year at the earliest'
Then there was
'Thailand should stop publicizing Covid numbers by April'
https://aseannow.com/topic/1246975-thailand-should-stop-publicizing-covid-numbers-by-april/
Apparently this is to allow the country to get back to normal as deaths have fallen
Now they want to resume Test & Go next month.
The first and last of these are both from the Ministry of Public Health.
Doesn't matter what the lower orders say even if they were world elites in their fields so it has to go up the chain & very often that chain is pulled.
When you have people in power with very limited understanding of the actual positions they hold except that they know that whatever they say goes then it never ends well.
If the government was a normal business then it would be bankrupt & it's company directors up on serious fraud charges.
Dictatorships are not held to the same standards as democracies.

Strange construction off Nual Beach on Ko Larn
in Pattaya

The US army built pontoons & bunkers on the islands during the war with Vietnam.
The top brass used stay out there & girls were shipped out to them as they didn't want the lower ranks seeing how they were enjoying their r&r.
Also high level meetings were held out there as it was seen as secure place.
There must be one or two US veterans on here who might be able to shed more light on the subject
