" Gone on death ears "
I remember years ago the late K, made yearly speeches on his Birthday one year he address the duel pricing that it gave a black eye to the nation!
Then I remember the first year when the current PM was put in office there was also a speech regarding the duel pricing!
Both you would think wouldn't go on death ear! but it shouldn't be of any surprise for those who reside here and don't have their heads up in darkness all the time thinking what is being said is Thai Bashing. The people who lead this country and those who will in the future in my lifetime are ALL from the same clothe and those who see the wrong in this are just POWERLESS to do anything about it.
I read just the other day a comment, a poster defending the new Governor doing a photo op on dangerous curves he is " trying " I said he was clueless and powerless nothing more than an photo op I say give it a year if history is any indication of the future I put a bet NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN just like PM, can't fix the traffic in 30 days.
The reason it is so hot in Thailand and so much smoke in Bangkok is the result of the hot air that comes from the leaders mouth!
I have a advantage that I look like them, I've been to this parks my Thai family knows it so I never have to worry about duel pricing I just stand back and shut my mouth. But once in Pattaya my son and his friend wanted to go to see " Believe it or Not " I ask how much of course duel pricing for me I've seen it many times since I lived in S.F. I decline and said just the kids after the kids went in the guy actually had the nerve to address me with the price! I basically told him in split Thai and English do you actually know who you are working for an American or foreign company how would you feel if they wouldn't pay you the minimum wage Thailand has impose and pay you like a Thai company?
My Thai neighbor a nice couple just a year ago for whatever reason duel pricing came up I was real polite in my answer she said we should pay more because we have more money just like the Thai courts who recently reaffirm it was O.K. for hospital private or public to charge us more. I said if you were visiting or living in the U.S. and when to work at McDonalds would you be happy to pay more for your burger and work for less.
In both of the cases the conversation pretty much ended with their heads down silent! that is when you stop and know you have made your point regardless nothing is going to change with anything people here will continue to do what they are doing. They are taught only one thing they have been doing this for centuries and will as long as I'm alive!

No it's not. Non resident pricing for Disneyland and some places like it have always been done as locals go more often, but you do not pay more to go to a museum or national park....nice try.
True! People who say this is ignorant to the truth, majority of the time the fact is the County for which a place like Disneyland for example Orange County supervisors have voted in or a ballot measure was put in place some incentive to help the success of Disneyland. In return those who reside in the county benefits with a discount there is NO DUE PRICING!

Sue the school and responsible parties? How long have you lived in Thailand?
I have a mentally challenge brother he is the love of my life! He is in a great facility group home personnel who are train, accountable, treat him as family allows me to sleep, I've visited facilities here even as a volunteer some are OK, majority are shameful, leaders are ignorant trillions are spent on needless projects like roads while much needed services and training is neglected yet praying is their main priority here. I guess asking for forgiveness is easier than doing the right thing.

This morning! June 5th, after reading this article I was a bit concern since I was taking my brother to the airport.
We left a 7am for a 12:45 flight on PA to SFO, with a half hour stop at the rest stop I dropped him off at 9:10 am while parking the car he called said counter opens at 9:30 and he was the 5th in line. After parking went to N counter he was already checked in ready to go upstair to Immigration.
I needed to stick around until he made it through since there were concerns as to whether he will be clear to take a friend remain ashes as carry on.
So meantime I walked around although airport was a lot busier nice to see I didn't see majority Internationally upstairs like the photo or video in this story.
It took him close to 30 minutes to clear scanner, immigration, into terminal for departure.

I was bouncing around like a pin ball machine finally one lady looked at everything set it on a table and said you done. ????

In the UK most or all towns now have a posted speed limit of 20mph in built up areas. That's 32kph. In Thailand it is 80.
Speed limits philosophy is to control the flow of traffic here it is out of control.
They an area I drive often east of Ban Saray, never seen so much paint on the road it is as if some official saw some brochure from the west! Bike lanes, paint to guide you straight and around corners, one moment paint on road go 60, a few feet away slow down curve after 60 again a few feet back slow 30 coffee shop entrance it is insane!
I don't think Thais are stupid it is the other way around their official at the Land Transport think so.

Bravo to the brave individual or individuals who try and fail now let's pray the treatment fails and hope the word ADVANCE comes to supersonic!

Here is a clue it won't work!
On Sukhumvit like so many through Thailand, you have inconsistent markings one moment it is posted at 60, as soon as you pass Makro it is 80, moments later there is Lotus back to 60, meantime regardless of the posting no enforcement average speed is 90?
To use cameras your roads like Sukhumvit need to be consistent marked at 60 with a 10 exceed anything over 70 snap shot thereafter you need to find a way to collect the millions of violators!

What is there to inspect! You come from the same school of driving which is clueless.
Here is a clue! You can not have zero enforcement post speed limits already too high and expect improper educated drivers not to exceed the limit and share the road. I seen roads marked all over Thailand 60 for example and majority are traveling 100, next thing you know curve too late no matter how many signs or paint you put on the road!
Another example crosswalk you have allow speeds in congested Bangkok roads listed at 80, majority exceed it then right in the middle of the race track you put a crosswalk knowing within the country pedestrian have no right of way.
Another, then you got head of police force who disregards the driving law saying you basically can travel whatever speed because cars have better technology today for safety.
Then you got the head of the Dept. Land. Transport who announced nothing wrong with the design of Thailand roads.
Ask long as any Thai is charge of this problem they do a photo op and that is their solution!

Better talk to candidate Anutin he is touting 10,000 in a few days that is without lifting TP, TAT prediction 10 million how is that going to happen? Are we expecting massive illegal border crossing? ????

I wake up crossing my fingers each day as my trip gets closer as to whether they will lift TP. For good measure time to read up get ready to apply before I leave.
Trying to figure him out is he throwing these numbers out like Songkran (50,000) if it doesn't happen he shines gets up touts virus is no match for Thailand medical system which indirectly is him " health minister "
Now 10,000 4 days into the month since official opening let me guess without looking (down)? Knowing full well everyone has been swapping, spitting, sharing body fluids for months now ????
Definitely frustration starts to set in many times I take it out on other posters not even caring I will be warned and suspended it is already hard being me but add these head spinning announcements being Thailand I sit in my rocking chair helpless thinking I can't go out like this? I look up the Thai T. V. starts to talk about Monkeypox what it is and how it looks like I look up and Anutin picture! ????

- If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight.
Thanks, for whatever reason I was thinking 72 hours maybe that is for the arrival? Before one boards the flight!

Yes right! Deputy Governor with new Governor before he gets to office making sure everyone knows nothing had change the envelope still need to be delivered proto on the 1st????

I believe for U. S. Is 72 hours, Antigen for U. S. Citizens.
You did not indicate your location
In Pattaya, if one uses major private hospital like Bangkok Pattaya the price is 1090 baht With paperwork.
I had a family member go to locations Bottom of Thappaya road and 3rd as one is coming down near the end place call GD lab? on left 490 baht, with paperwork.
Then a friend, Theppasit just off Sukhumvit opposite side outlets same 490 baht 15 minutes waiting with paperwork in English. Why BPH takes two hours and cost maybe they are using special paper?
Both had no problems at departure nor arrival.

This my take from the story.
What isn't noted was how much was the candy in the first place?
Guy never wanted the candy said he doesn't eat mint. Little girl doesn't speak or understand the foreign thinking give her a 100 baht that was all he had. Sounds like the little girl wasn't trying to sell him more but giving him more because he paid more.
Second foreigner comes into the conversation in the middle he too doesn't understand English or coming in the middle upset two week million already gave but upset he doesn't hear what is being said everything out of control? ????

Shouldn't be, because Bangkok Pattaya Hospital has translators on duty.
https://www.bangkokhospital.com/pattaya/en/patient-services/international-services-en.html
Yes I'm aware of it but actually how many go in for small stuff, eye examined, dental, even emergency is thinking translation. The reality they speak English to by but for some one word can throw it off.
In this case better, clearer, if thing are clearer I would assume it is better than before.?
-
Can't help but to think there is a language problem, I've encounter this since I use Bangkok Pattaya lots of time in conversation the Thai doctor will use a word or phrase that clouds the explanation. I would ask them questions use example and find out they really meant something else. In this case
"better/clearer" which I believe is the same? If after the procedure your vision is clearer assumption it is .better?

I can't speak highly enough of the Bangkok Hospital Eye Center in Pattaya.
I had an eye scare with a bacteria in my eye and they cleared it for me, it took a lot of visits (every other day) and a lot of medicine. But it was worth it.
If you want a second opinion don't go to some clinic, but go to Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok!
Thanks from your post this is what I came away with?
Bangkok eye center in Pattaya
Second opinion Rutnin eye hospital in Bangkok?
Making two recommendations? Either or? Where is location in Bangkok?
-
It is getting close but not complete some location are due to the road work but many of the bottle necks are self inflicted due to lack of consideration and patiences.
I take my granddaughter to pre-school it is 10 minutes away but it takes me a hour there and back.
There are days I feel being a serial killer while sitting in traffic one quick yank on the wheel I could take out a dozen bikes.
