Based on your suggestion I did, as the story goes unless there is another article you read that this one doesn't provide?
It indicated he went home " friend drove him back to the bar " question if true did the friend who drove him back not know of his intent?
If so where I come from he is an accessory to crime if he knew or a witness. I remarked because there is no mentioned he drop him off and left or stay.
I think my remark is valid unless you have something else?

Hope they've got a good lawyer.
Personally it will take more than a good lawyer but I'm glad the family is sueing making a attempt instead of accepting.
if the courts can make such a ruling not holding out hope for the family. Earlier a court suspended the sentence of another individual who came close to doing the same the swamp I'd very deep here.

Why is there a broken door catch on the table, was his wallet there in the room, why was his Passport/paperwork with the owner, laid dead behind the door with a neck wound. All sounds very suspect to me.
Correct that is what I was thinking? " Cut in back of the neck " the story the way it is laid out by the media don't expect too much more from the BIB another cold case that will be solved?
Two cig lighters but no cigs on the table? Flashlight? the guy had a bit of a sugar fix too? I'm with Scuba looks like Ladyboy and drugs for starts?????

And that 10k of unusable covid insurance wont save you from Dengue, Malaria and thousands other hospitalization reasons so they still need to pay themselves. Also only one percent of incoming tourists are turned up positive , would you like to penalize 99% for 1 %??
Let not forget if not already the extra 300-600 baht every arrival is paying than was said to be used for medical and tourist. Based on their projections of visitor and the % that actually get sick or hurt we are talking lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ or baht.

Lucky the SUV was packed no room to be toss around to do more damage but a generalization a bunch of kids out for dinner? No drinking hard for me to believe with so many no one says a word or checks the driver the reason for the accident is on the list like brake failure but of course this is Thailand and being said nothing noted by police about blood test for driver no one hurt but themselves therefore Case close no charges happy they didn't hurt incident bystanders.

Very similar - on a highway or other fast road, I start watching traffic behind and around me when I'm way back from a right turn and try to adjust my speed to be able to get myself in a position to turn right. That's not always successful as it also depends on the traffic coming from the opposite direction. Waiting to turn right in a car in Thailand can be a scary experience but on a bike its terrifying. U turns, well known sources of accidents, are probably one of the only places that are safer for motorbikes and I agree, its often safer to go on and find one than to turn right.
You only have to be on a dual carriageway/multi lane system where there are road works to see why there's danger at a right time. Thai driver's attitude when they see a lane closing because of roadworks is not to move over to the left as soon as possible - its to go as fast as they possibly can and in their minds, get to the front. The apply the same mentallity when approaching a junction, bat on hell for leather, never mind if there might be someone waiting to turn right. Many's the time when I have been waiting to make a right turn and felt a little more than the wind from a passing car.
On the subject of the accident above, yes its easy to say that the truck should keep a safe distance but this is Thailand and accidents are not often as they seem. Thai bikers (mainly smaller bikes) do some very odd things and rarely look where they're going. The photo above throws up some questions - clearly the bike has been moved (text says is was stuck in the front of the truck. The damage to the truck is not superficial yet the rear wheel of the bike appears undamaged. The liquid on the ground looks like oil, why would the engine be damaged and the back wheel not be if the bike was hit from behind?
I suppose the oil could be from the truck if its been moved back to free the bike. All a bit odd.
From my take on the photo I don't believe the bike was moved. Looking at the photo one can see impact was made on the left driver side. Having seen simulation of accident with bikes on contact a small tap would cause the bike to over turn. Of course without seeing more of the photo marks on the floor match it with the scratches on the side of the bike would would confirm or denied.
Just a generalization but these pickups with the tin can on the back delivery trucks in Pattaya the last few years I considered to be some of the most dangerous they travel through small neighborhood Soi at excessive speed tailgating everything in sight then you got motorbikes not understanding the proper use under and overtaking which in Thailand is a violatonship if done 200 or so meters from an intersection.

Do you file a yearly tax return ?
Yes I do, My largest account is a few million baht had this account for 20 years all the money has-been brought over legally through the years. Since it is a joint I just let her worry about it a few years ago I notice the interest being tax so when I was asked by my new accountant as to whether I had a overseas account I said yes but told I was already being taxed on interest he just said OK.
I lived here full time for over 15 years maintain an address file and pay taxes in the States.
Each month I use Wise and wire money into another Thai account all that money s accounted in my yearly income for tax purpose.

I never do! I fully understand Thais calling us Farangs, they don't have a clue as to where anyone is from accept for a few countries so they lump sum everyone in one basket. ????
Same when I buy something they have to get a calculator to figure out my change for 2-1=1????
-
You do what you want with this opinion? I'm not French but as noted many countries requires due to money laundry this is same with the U.S.
I have a number of accounts with Bangkok Bank some large some small but I don't declare any of them since they yearly take out taxes on the interest I receive. I don't notice it being done on my Thai wife, son or daughter in law accounts.
My personal conclusion is it is none their of their business! I had already paid the taxes on the money prior to shipping it over and gave my explanation as to where it came from for me end of story don't open a can of worms that doesn't need to be open.

Was this at the junction of Nerm Plab Whan and The Railway line Bypass Rd? I find it hard to figure out from the picture. Those junctions have flashing lights and people race through at night.
Yes this is the intersection of Soi Nernpludwan and railroad track it was after the intersection as you head south.
At Nernpludwan the train is below at this Soi it is raise and a concrete bridge there is no need for train flashing lights etc.
I seen countless of accident at this intersection Nernpludwan I considered one of the heaviest most congested travel Soi in Pattaya. This intersection is a free for all for playing chicken vehicles coming up parallel to the train tracks far exceed the speed limit which is posted further down at 50 as vehicle approach the intersection there is clearly a Solid 8-10 CM white horizontal but in Thailand majority don't have a clue it is the same as a stop sign instead of doing the minimum of at least slowing down and proceed with caution it is pedal to the pedal. Lots of local out here use taxis service B--T.

Go to Soi Buakhao market just before Pattaya tai there is a guy that use to pre-covid sell brand name knockoffs 800 baht, also at Mike shopping Mall on Beach road vendor just inside also knockoff most I paid 800, Friday, Sat, Jomtien market Theppasit evening 800 baht, as noted Decathlon Lotus North, I haven't purchased not name brand their runner are about average 1200 baht up clothes and stuff but higher than a Thai night market but the quality is much better.
I've found the name brand outlets worth checking but never have found a lot of good deals majority the shoes and been marked up then reduced to make it look like you are getting 50% off when in fact you are not, I've found and peel off sticker on the sale shoe!
A few month back upstairs central marina sport dome. Skechker? I notice a big price drop on their display?
Good luck!

Personally this is a deal to try to win Thailand over from the CCP, the problem Thailand is already in their pockets and deep! The deal should be nix for many reasons as noted it will just be turn over to the CCP taken apart to steal and copy.
There is no reason to sell any military hardware to Thailand why even bother to see it they are capable come on U.S. wake up and smell the coffee?
