i mean i know this post is funny and kinda joke but.. tbh what you posted is.. yes actually you cannot do that if you are not a thai citizen. you seriously need a work permit to what you are describing. You sad 'my tenants' which means you have some place to rent and belongs to you, and the way you wrote seems its not belong to you which means you are doing a business even all the things are on your wife's name.. be careful with that. whatever you do looks like a working man doing, it counts you are working there. Before i had a friend doing kebap with his girlfriend in chonburi. all he was doing is sitting there at the stand and his gf was doing the things, he was just sometimes putting the things in to the plastic bag but then chonburi immigration said its working without work permit and charged him because it was obviously not helping, he was doing it like almost every day.

the truth is, things are not as you think it is true but what reality is. example is my house situation. some part of my garden is next to the soi in my village. yes, normally you think its in front of your house, right? well.. it turned out.. no! so its not like what i think but what it is. now after many talks it turned out legally people can park their car there and i cannot do anything. yes, it is in front of my house, but it is not. all i can do is politely ask them not to.

Thanks for your story and advice but I don't over think things I just go about my business like I did back home and exactly what my Thai neighbors do each day.

  2. Personal you got it right the guy is on his soapbox I lived here like you 15 plus years surrounded by Thais I've painted my house, apartment, fix the roof, each morning sweep the road in front of my house and apartment I do it all including fixing whatever is needed in the apartments for my tenants,  I trim my trees and put the trimming in a empty lot to burn. Ten years ago I was reported Nongprue Police came I listen went in the house got my lawyer number in BKK,  called handed the phone to the guy a few minutes later it was handed back I spoke hung up during that time the police Wai said in Thai sorry and left that was the last time I was bother.

    These are expats scared

of their own shadows I know many who get together sit around and talk about their past " I tell you exactly what to do " but do the complete opposite. The same guys who tell you in a accident you always in the wrong when it happens cry the loudest for help.

Go about your business because that is exactly what it is your business but be respectful!

These guys think you need to hire a Thai to hold their failing dicks too pee! ???? Life is short live enjoy go out with a bang.

  3. Aside from getting their hair dye the leaders don't have a clue!  Yesterday the big news they were having a meeting to ease the restrictions once the intro or ass kissing was behind Puppet Chan ask anyone have any good ideas silents!

Future PM Anutin digs into his bags of tricks pull out the only thing he had from the past " Bubble" ????

  4. Howdy Doody is back with the same stuff, live with it!  then instead of slow and easing just open up with no restrictions because your own people don't even have a clue or understanding as to what they are and how to apply them. The more cream you lay on the cake the more it taste like <deleted> keep it simple OPEN COME ONE COME ALL!????

  5. Personally, I don't have a clue as to the numbers for myself when I was home in 2019, my doctor indicated if I wanted the vaccine (Medicare)  just walk into any Walgreens and asked 10 minutes later done only problem sore arm for a day told to come back next year for the second. Came back for a visit next year 2020 I was a week early told I couldn't come back in a week problem I was returning to Thailand in a few days lucky I did!

If I'm lucky when I return maybe this year I wonder do I need to start over again with the first shot?

  6. Campaign?  If you got to do that reason time and time again they have failed. What is the driver handbook and test doing I guess nothing so what is a campaign past and present going to do but I guess bringing back an old idea since there aren't going to be any new ones coming from these leaders!

Scrape the system rewrite the handbook then instead of having people drinking around circles and watching a film which no one does ( but I did ) do an actually driving test live or on a simulator after actually get out and enforce the law instead of reacting when something bad happens!

Decathlon near Tesco lotus in N Pattaya have excellent hard wearing trail running shoes that are often discounted or are returned to store slightly used. Believe me they beat most of the regular jogging shoes in both quality and price. You can also buy online from Decathlon or check which branches have the type you prefer. I bought 2 pairs, see below for about 1000 baht per pair.20210924_150018.thumb.jpg.cce00494dfafe04f018c28e8b74ade36.jpg

Those are jogging shoe?  Decathlon do have same decent jogging shoes believe there is more quality control than the original and copies particularly the quality of glue used sold here in Thailand.

Mikes shopping on Beach road found some decent name brands Copies that held up well better than what suppose to be originals especially when it comes to prices I've not paid more than 800 baht for any of them. Good luck

  8. Honda poor quality?  I own a PCX 2012, got over a 100,000 KM forgot to check coolant one time reason I burned a piston?  I had it rebuilt for 4000 baht since then clock another 15,000 KM regularly service oil 10 years a switch here and there no major problems. Handles great power you don't need too much more CC to kill yourself.  Yes the new PCX ADV, close to 100,000 if not more I think a few YouTube video PHL show race comparison with the Yamaha DMax out ran them all price 10000 cheaper might also check out the Aerox starts at 68,000?

  9. I did mines on 20 Jan at Jomtien all you paperwork listed seem in order make sure they are all signed.  I use house book copies with my wife signature same with her ID she signs it, since I have TM30 I also include that.

As for the bank letter like Jack54? Indicate I make a deposit at my BB branch at 3pm the day before I deposit money have the book update just as they give me the book back I tell them need immigration letter got 100 ready hand it to them 15 minutes got my letter I got outside to the Kodak shop have all my bank book pages copy sign them attach them to the letter for insurance I do purely the 800,000 method never touch it over and beyond. I show up next morning at 7:00 letter is still good out by 9pm.  This year being so busy I was told to come back Monday afternoon to pick up with instructions to return April 20 to prove funds again. What a system?

Heck, when I approach a rail-road crossing with the barrier up and the lights dark, I still stop and look both directions before stopping.  It drives my 'back-seat-driving' wife crazy but I've seen instance where warning lights and barriers have been non-operational as the train comes plowing through!
As a driver you are the captain of your own ship. Driving defensively keep you breathing.

Bravo and that is what driving  a tracker is all about defensive and I apply majority of the defensive items I learn living here driving my bike and cars,  Bravo don't leave it to someone else! It cost nothing to take a second to stop and take a look!  Bravo stay safe!

The stop sign in question is to show drivers where to stop when the barriers are down. The stop sign in question is not an instruction to stop and look when the barriers are up and the warning signals are off. That's the way this style of level crossing works in this country.

You are suggesting that this Thai truck driver will now have the same nous as a professional American commercial truck driver. Seriously? You haven't observed too much much while "driving all over Thailand roads for 20 year" using your superior western learning. The only thing this driver will take from his experience are the numbers from the registration plates for his lottery tickets.

What I say to Thai who feel the way you feel this "this is Thailand " your reasoning is the same as many Thai thinks reason of the high numbers of accidents majority are self inflicted. I lecture them politely that the vehicle was invented in the West the rules of driving was also taken from the West problem maybe they did maybe not but somehow many of the rules due to lack of enforcement are not executed properly which is the problem. Majority arent train in using their mirrors they can't even make a proper left or right turn, merging they don't have a clue reason when you need to make a right you can wait until morning, what is a solid white,  yellow, double, today there are Horizontal lines at many intersections same as a stop sign.  I have a million on my list simple stuff we take for granted but makes a huge difference to start to fix what is wrong here Thailand or no Thailand they need to learn the proper execution as it was intended. I've worked in the transportation industry for 40 plus years worked along with the transportation Department the CHP seen the surveys, data,  you say this is Thailand if this driver was taught the rule where it originate for a trucker a stop sign means Stop look it is clear and proceed with caution this is done every day even in Thailand. When you drive a vehicle of size,  carry people, Haz-mat responsible for lives the last thing you assume as long as they barrier is up no lights no bell you certain Don't just drive through until it is clear and make sure your tracker never sit idle on the tracks.

You feel the way you do we part ways to agree to disagree next time when the light turns green just go through as you noted and assume? Good luck.

  12. They announced months tactfully not to hurt their Master the CCP they will move away from the Sino when stock run out right after China new Attaboy Ambassador arrived gave Thailand another 1 million doses indirect way of saying " a reminder we call the shots when we say stop you stop meantime bend over " ????

Yes but the STOP sign works in conjunction with the 'automatic' barriers. When they are up, the lights and strobes aren't flashing and the bell's not ringing, you do NOT stop. This accident site on the Udon ring-road is actually the Mitrapharp state Highway 2 bypass and very, very busy. You only stop at these stop signs when the barriers are down.

In commercial driving in the West you don't depend on anyone but yourself never assume that is how I have survived driving all over Thailand roads for 20 year I apply everything I have ever learned in commercial driving there is no such thing as " this is Thailand " opinion if this driver had simply stopped regardless of what anyone expects of him to do we might not been exchanging comment,  if one has ever driven a tracker traitor it would be clear?

The stop sign on the wooden post left isn't attached it is separate. As the driver said he based crossing solely on the light and barrier warning from the accident he will never do that again!

You approach stop proceed when you know your entire tracker clears the tracks.
