  1. My research for years running around there might be a independent one giving better than T. T.  But it is rare unless it is next door to where you are staying. Down W. S.  Beach Rd,  all along Buakhao including Soi Diana best rate pretty much all the same is T.T., the T. T.  At Big C Klang give a bit lower than the rest usuall .10 from my observation.

Here in Pattaya TOPS is linked to the Central "The 1" scheme. If you exceed a turnover of 250KTHB per year (for all shops in Central Festival including TOPS) then you get certain discounts and as well a special parking which comes handy on weekends when the parking house is completely overrun by cars.

In my opinion Makro and Tops are aimed at a totally different customer. Makro is more then a cash&carry aimed at restaurant owners which need large volumes of something and is rather on the cheap side. Tops on the other hand is more like Villa Market with focus on rare imported and expensive merchandise.

Never heard of a Tops club here.

Agree I could never understand these discount cards I do have a 1 card buy small stuff at their market to me much better than Villa.

With Big C even Lotus under my wife name I must have millions of points?

Big C, unless with wife I tell them no card,  once  they told me I get 80 baht because under wife told me to go counter show passport she held up line 5 minutes I realized went back told her forget it 80baht I got no time for all this stuff,  Im no cheap Charlie,  handsome man,  time is money I got happy ending down the road ????

This is not a Top's but a Top's CLUB.  Same as a COSTCO, SAM's Club, S&R, many products from outside of Thailand.  Bulk items which if you have pantry storage space for is good. Between this and shopping at Makro we only need to shop now once every two months, except for fresh fruit and vegetables which we buy as needed.  I became used to shopping this way when working as I was only paid once a month, so I would stock up on the cleaning supplies, and meats such as Chicken, Pork, Fish etc... would fill the freezer as much as possible to last, as well as buying the snacks to fill the lunch bags for the kids.  Of course I have no kids at home regularly now here in Thailand except for the GF's daughter who comes and stays, but boy does she power through the snacks, and still is skinny as a rail.

One think I like is buying the coffee in bulk so it lasts for a month and not having to buy the small bags of beans sold in markets here every week.

I fully understand your comments that it is like a Costco,  it doesn't exist here in Pattaya only Makro.

I'm the opposite the wife handles the meat and Veggie. I shop for everything else during my spare time or break no different from back home I go out walk through different stores Lotus,  Big C, Makro,  check the prices as noted Makro has some bulk items that I like particularly cleaning stuff but I see nothing special if I had to pay a membership I would pass.

I find what I need most of the time walking around buying from Lotus I think they have some great deals for my personal needs than Makro. I end up stocking the house for the family a bit at s time.

I also use the shopping excuse to do MINE thing if you know what I mean ????

Back of our house is like a giant pantry but like home Costco has some nice things for the price Large volume items but one day I noticed Targets after changing their business plan was even better than Costco for most home needs

  4. Sounds like Tops is only in Bangkok mainly.

There are stuff at Makro I like the wife seem to like it more but based on overall price if I had to pay for a membership based of any kind to shop there vs overall priced it is bye bye.

This would be the same if they had a Tops in Pattaya although I think competition is good but here with this government I'm not sleeping on it much.

I would reserve use a one day pass to check it out?

  5. I commend them but have any stepped out recently or ever?

The short list is unrealistic did they come up with it or take it from the West to show they are on top of it.

    #2. Ask the owner?  ????

Where I live like the Thai kids for 2 decades play outside no supervision same with the Soi Dogs. Within the village Soi (6) there must be 30 strays the females are always pregnant.

When babies the kids play with them 6 months they are alone survival of the fittest many if not run over by cars are disease infected.  Many come early evening feed them empty lots it is a cycle but I've never seen a official of any kind do a thing vaccination etc.

Last 3 years during my run since park was closed bitten 2 times once it happens it is no longer the land of smiles once it happens it is a ghost town. ????

  6. Prior to departing Thailand I got such a noticed, I return the 26th of July understand the reset, but two weeks ago I went to the Embassy to renew my Passport, return is expected middle of October?

Of course I will have a new Passport number DO I NEED TO RE-REGISTER NEW PASSWORD ETC.. ONLINE so I can start reporting online again in the future?

Since I need to go to Jomtien once I get my new Passport, I will need them to transfer my Extension etc, to my new passport once done and picked up I will just do my report in person since it will pretty much be within my reset date.

    Thanks in advance!

Don't read the forum much do you.  We've been called 'murdering scum', more than a few times.  'My body, my choice' goes over a few folks' head on the forum.

Oh, I do read the forum you know that!  Your comment just made my point!  Who really give a flying F, what they call people or you have you not heard of the saying "  sticks and stones  "  this guy is a idiot so is every hair dye Thai in government.

Some people make a mountain out of nothing. Whether it goes over anybody head is their business go on with your life for cry out loud. Many here got their choice not to wear be happy about that!

  8. When I see this what comes across is " just because you can own property don't mean your should "

Yes the renter is trash but it is the owner need to take some responsibility or control on her property instead just eager to rent it out. Contracts here In Thailand are signed especially by Thais without caring what is inked.

Ownership is not being absent then screaming bloody murder after. Now go after her instead of begging  her online to come back.
