Don't you think you should tone it down a bit?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to be honest, NKM makes a lot of sense when he posts.

    You should clean your nose.

  2. The posts running a story at the moment, "Minor lavishes billions of baht on Phuket projects".

They forecast something a bit different for Phuket's future , but hey, what would the chairman and group chief executive of Minor International Plc know...

House wine is typical Mont Clair, though they have a reasonable selection by the glass or bottle.

Got me feeling like a couple of chilled pinot grigio's now, might have to head over for some sundowners but this rains making it hard to do anything else bar relaxing on the sofa!

The 'sailors' don't get ashore to the bar until late afternoon, and there are plenty of tables.

I'm there now. A couple of photos of the place....

Any idea what time they stop serving the roast today?

I've got no probs paying a few baht extra for the view, well worth it I recon.

Actually it does, as well as mashed potatoes, roast pumpkin, mixed veggies, Yorkshire Pudding, mint sauce with the lamb, and a slice of excellent ciabatta bread and butter.

    This last Sunday..........

Nice one, I'm sold...by the way, it's should always be referred to as "Kiwi aftershave", not mint sauce..

Reminds me of that other character who got it so obviously wrong when he insisted a vehicle was in the wrong lane in an accident. The video evidence comprehensively disproved his version, yet he went on the attack against the people who pointed out his error.

A simple, I may have got it wrong, was all that was required to restore credibility.

Bang on, exactly the same..beggars belief doesn't it.

My opinion and I still say that it is not necessary to revert to insults and terms like BS just because someone has a different recollection.

As I said, it seems that a group of you do not like anyone to have an opinion different to yours. I am not the first FM who is targeted for different opinions on the Phuket forum and I will not be the last and I will not be bullied into accepting a view I do not recognise.

All it's got to do with is the fact that your recollection is unfortunately wrong, whatever your opinion may be the actual fact is there were loads of girly bars and GGBs, how could you have walked down Bangla and mistaken them for tea shops?

As you probably won't recall either, the girls were a hell of alot more physical when it came to trying to get the punters into the bars back then, was nigh on impossible to not get groped.

pre Tsunami days when there was very little in the way of a red light district. In fact what is now Thanon Bangla was mainly tea shops and restaurants.

You had me believing you until the above, glaringly obvious bit of BS.

nearly finished Billions s2- its excellent and shows that politics is just as corrupt as the world of finance. Line of Duty and Prime Suspect 1973 are worth a watch as well.

finished it and wondering if they'll be an S3, maybe maybe not type ending, great show.

I love this wet weather!  It's cooler and the garden, fields and mountain are greener than I've ever seen them.  Also I know I wont have problems with the water supply from my well this year. Getting a little wet occasionally is no big deal.

Less bikes, and people, on the roads is a bonus.

One downside was losing my big TV to a lightning strike.

That big one around 9ish today was a ripper, one of those 1 offs from out of nowhere..loven it!

yes and the truck was obviously on the wrong side of the road as I have said already

and for the person that made the smart comment..............you are obviously not from Phuket....why should that make a difference, I have been to Phuket and all over Thailand

What side of the road did you drive on when you were "All over Thailand"?

You obviously have no idea re that stretch of road/lane set up, look at the video and learn something.

Oh...I noticed that the Mcdonald's on Chaofa West now has a drive through.  What a lovely cultural enhancement for Phuket.

    What a ridiculous post above.

I guess it just goes to show you don't know as much as you think you do about Phuket or Khao Lak.
