Them trees might walk, better to keep the evidence in custody. At least they won't need feeding or complain of over crowding
I do find it amazing that in just a few weeks the junta have discovered all this wrong doing that the police were presumablly totally unaware of

"He made a plea for hotels and the government to set aside areas for taxis. “Some people support the action [against the taxi drivers], while others do not. The taxis want to ask for humanity from the government and from hotels, to share the area where they can make a living. They have a right to do that.”
Just as the hotel owners had rights too that the taxi mafia ignored, perhaps now they know what it feels like.... humanity is something the taxi drivers should have had but didnt, why should others whose lives they have been making hell forgive and allow them near their establishments... You reap as you sow...... Karma coming back on them
The taxi mafia have damaged the reputation of the whole island and they want people to treat them like they were human ? try treating your customers as that, not just atm's to steal from.
If they want sympathy tell them to look in the dictionary between sh*t and syphillis

I have some great video of the Khon Kaen fire chief using all the fire trucks and road machines to build his restaurant at the top end of the lake. Of course on top of all this was the drivers and trucks who were involved for months on the operation.
All paid out of the public pot.
Every vehicle is stamped with the government logo.
When I questioned the receptionist at a nearby hotel she said 'This is Thailand..who going to stop big man' ?
Should I post the video to all the Thai tv stations, newspapers or just put it on youtube?
Yes, yes & yes

What no pictures or finger pointing ?

Thai schools are finding a great solution to the issues of hiring Farang - Filipinos.
They often have degrees in math, science and education. Most of them speak English quite well to near native. They will work for less, work longer hours and not raise a stink when they are asked to do something beyond their job description.
This is hardly a solution, We employ staff from the local college, English taught by a Fillipino, I cannot understand them & I am English !!! There is a reason they get paid so little, its because like Thais they cannot speak English that English speakers can understand so therefore cannot teach with any compitance.

everyone seems to be looking at this position as what do I have to gain from it, well not everyone needs money or a permit, for some this would be an excuse to get out of the house and maybe meet people, be social and not have to live at the bar to do it.
They are always complaining about foreigners taking the jobs of Thai's... This is one area they should pay a qualified Thai not give the job to a falang who is stupid enough to work for free.
They should practice what they preach. Immigration makes lots of money so no problems paying a Thai to work there.
Thats assuming they can actually find a Thai with English degree that can actually speak english.
Happy to rip of foreigners but don't really want to pay their own people.
Gets you out of the house ? but deprives a Thai of 20000 Baht a month salary...stay at home with your bottle instead of wanting to steal other peoples jobs.

Send them straight back to where they come from. If they want a better life then they, along with their fellow countryman, need to fight for one.
Please find a big rock, preferably in your home country and stay under it. Also look up the word compassion

I think they should make every effort to stamp out drugs....but it will not be 100% effective. It's a bit like poisoning rabbits back home in Oz. You will get 99% but the others will slip away and start breeding somewhere else.
If the USA after 40 years and spending billions on stopping drugs has totally faled what an earth makes you think they can stamp it out here.
Legalise & tax, the users are going to do it anyway !

I just wanted to find out what nose filler was, had a funny impression of people filling up their nostrils

sorry I forgot to mention, this is 100% correct! As long as you plan to stay no longer than the 30 day tourist visa allotted you should be fine. You can bring in most prescription medicines, with a doctors prescription and as long as it is an ammount for not more than 30 days. In addition you need to declare it on arrival at customs, who will allow it or not.
Another way is to (have your doctor) contact a Thai hospital that can decribe the medication for you.
Some more info here:
With a note from a doctor you can bring 3 months supply of personal medication such as codine into Thailand

Was Bangkok 'bombed' during WWII ?
Not a piss take, I didn't know.
What was the history?
Wikipedia is your friend! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Bangkok_in_World_War_II
"Allied bombing raids on the Thai capital city of Bangkok began even before Thailand had declared war, since the Empire of Japan was using the country as a staging area for its invasions of both Malaya and Burma, with the agreement of the Thai government after Japan's successful invasion of the southeast Asian country. The first raid came on January 7, 1942, when Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft flying fromRangoon, attacked military targets in the city.[1][2] The American Volunteer Group, together with seven No. 113 Squadron RAF and three No. 45 Squadron RAFBlenheim bombers, were involved in the first raid.[3] No. 113 Squadron's planes were piloted by No. 60 Squadron's air crew. The second night raid was carried out with 8 Blenheims on 24-25 January and included No. 60 Squadron RAF aircrew.[4] A final raid was made three days later by four Blenheims. This was the last raid by Blenheims until May or June 1945."
Fact check: Thailand was not involved in WW2.
SIAM was.
This enables Thais to say Thailand has never been invaded.
I seem to think the Thai's say they were never colonised which is a completely different thing from being invaded !

High time Thailand had a rule that you must have a proper driving test and licence to help improve the shocking road death toll in Thailand RIP to all those who died in the van accident and RIP to all the others who will die on the Thai roads today.
Not only the above but tacographs should be fitted in vehicles carrying passengers to limit the hours driven backed up by regular checks & stiff penalties for those who drive over permitted hours, much like those rules applied to Europe. The vehicles could also be fitted with devices that detect & wake sleepy drivers at very little cost.
No, I am not advocating a nanny state, just laws to protect paying passengers. Too much to ask ? Better to pay more for transportation than have all these needless deaths. Lets face it, these amulets do not work all the time

Honda is a crappy car anyway, they use too much recycled materials in the manufacturing process e.g. your coke or beer can that you drank has been recycled is somewhere in the body of the car, and if you “fart” next to the car it dents the body work.
I would suggest you go see a doctor or seriously change your diet if your farts put dents into metal, or perhaps you could get yourself listed in the Guinness Book Of Records ?

Coup in progress. Step 1: disperse the Reds, but not the PRDC. Step 2: Senate replaces govt illegally. Coup complete.
you forgot the next steps
Step 3. Make the necessary reforms
Step 4. Make free and fair elections
Then it starts all over again.
There are no winners here. The country is too divided. Whatever party wins, the other party will want them out, and here we go again.
Rinse and repeat.
Don't bother rinsing.....just hang everything out to dry before chucking it in the bin..... and get a complete new wardrobe...new designs, new colours...none of the same designers!
But, but, Taskin Hilflinger is sooo in this year & do you have any idea how much top fashion outfits cost ?
Don't throw out, you never know when those outfits will be back in fashion !

They shouldn't have committed crimes......no prison anywhere is meant to be like the Hilton!
Typical blinkered view. No prison anywhere is like the Hilton. Prison is a loss of freedom, that is one hell of a bit punishment in its own right. No doubt there are innocent people in prison, mentally impaired etc, political prisoners etc I suppose they should suffer too ?
Hopefully your attitude will result in karma giving you a taste of prison, it would be interesting to hear your views once you are incarcerated.
Humans should treat other humans with dignity regardless of whether they are classed as criminals.

I am gobsmacked. I travelled into Silom today for a hospital appointment in Convent Road. Drove to the airport, parked there, train into Phaya Thai, changed there for Siam and then to Sala Daeng. Returned same way.
Never saw a single soldier!!!
so theyre were no soldiers on the bts ,what does that prove ?.............
Maybe it proves soldiers don't like trains

The "white powder" they were adding to joints was probably just dry-sifted resin glands from the cannabis they grew.
It's quite common to do because it's the only pharmacologically active part of the plant. The rest is just plant material which produce tars and other unhealthy by-products when burned.
Some experts say that smoking the whole but rather than just the resin is like eating a pizza and consuming the box too.
If you smoke a lot, like two of my friends who have chronic back pain due to spinal cord injuries, you can get accustomed to it and consume more than you used to.
One has a license to produce in Canada and smokes 30+ grams a day. His lung function was tested in the 80 percentile and he never looks like the "typical" stoner. No slurred speech, memory lapses etc. The other is a PhD, smokes during breaks at work and has a better memory than me and probably the majority of people here who don't smoke.
The worst side effect of cannabis is the laws against it. It's immoral IMO to put people in a cage for smoking a harmless herb.
5k under the table, the "evidence" goes "up in smoke" and the happy couple leave slightly poorer (and no smarter).
I've known a lot of hard-core weed smokers over the years (never touch drugs myself, but I'm often on best terms with Jack Daniels, but sometimes little Bailey's or Kaluha makes a nice change).
Friends back in Canada years ago used to devote years to plant cultivation, hybrids, splicing, etc to try and produce the highest possible THC content they could. Their pot made ever other kind of pot look like skunk weed.
Surprise, surprise. It just wasn't enough though, was it ? Some of them would smoke pot as often as I smoked cigarettes (back when I was still smoking). Smoking 4 joints between waking up and getting to the job site 90 minutes later was not uncommon. Meanwhile, weekend parties ? Seems even that hi-grade weed just wouldn't give enough of a buzz. But hey, add a little "something" to it (usually in a white powder form) and then convince people that super buzz was from the weed ?
That's when I stopped hanging out with that crowd.
If they had to add PCP or other drugs to their high-grade weed, and then get other people smoking it (without knowing what they were smoking), then something was wrong. Great way to loosen someone's "inhibitions" though. Maybe get them to try something "else" that'll be sure to give them the same kind of high. And once they're stoned, well, who knows........
I also know people that just smoke regular pot - basically whatever they can get their hands on. And after years and years, they too smoke it as often as most people smoke cigarettes. It's not hard to see the drooping eyes, slurred speech and mental lapses.
I'm sure it's nothing to do with heavy pot smoking though, because everyone keeps saying how wonderful it is.
But just like alcohol - in moderation it's not that bad. But abuse it and consume large quantities all the time and you'll end up just as screwed up as if you did the same thing with pot.
What a load of crap, it would be nigh impossible to smoke 30 grams in a day. Have been smoking ganja for over 25 years, still manage to keep a good job and my brain is in ok condition.
All these alcoholic sex fiends preaching on the dangers of cannabis, just go back in your box and stop judging everyone. Who the <deleted> do you think you are. Probably the same ppl illegally buying valium and viagra ? Still this is TV and their is plenty of crap written here.

Question:
On some occasions do visa runs from Laos to Thailand. I enter and exit Thailand on same day. I know several people in Vientiane who do same.
Will we be affected?
I was wondering about this, in theory if they inforce this rule then people living in Laos doing a monthly border run will be refused entry into Thailand, even it seems if you get a tourist visa assuming they enforce the 9 months in one year rule.
I have a year visa in laos & will have to stop regularly shopping in Nong Khai !
You can get yearly Laos visas for less than $500 which is cheaper & less hassle than doing monthly visa runs anyway. message me if you need details.
Laos yearly visas need no reporting every 90 days ! more enlightened than Thailand for sure

I see quite a few monks staying at our $60 a night rooms. They usually have Ipads, Iphones and the latest digital cameras. Has Louis Vittion designed a monks robe yet as they already have the handbags ?
Show me a religion that isnt full of hyprocrites.

Adorable ? he looks like a fat over indulged child of a Hi So, most North Koreans are thin to the point of being malnourished. I bet he did nasty things to animals as a child, now he does it to dissenting fellow countrymen. I blame the parent !
Obviously most other countries are out to get North Korea so they need to be harsh on their people in case they think the grass is greener on the otherside (which of course it is)

Why are effeminate gays referred to as camp, I see nothing effeminate about camping.
Are you an english teacher?
Also who is Camp David and why do American presidents like visiting him ?
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
