  1. Sometimes I hate the TikTok culture, it's more important to take a vdo in moments like this than to help those on fire.
  2. You think too much. Maybe he was in a Naem Neung restaurant and took the waitress out, planning to elope to Gretna Green.
  3. I speculate he was an English teacher.
  4. Yes, same as the Nigerians in jail, not many people care maybe thinking they deserve to be there. Might also be a racial thing, not many black expats in Thailand. Interesting as they said at the start he was foreign, which was a racial remark. But to be fair, I've never met, or known of a black person becoming naturalized, I wonder....
  5. Oh dear, I guess the homophobic posters had to appear sometime.
  6. I doubt it, its that they're is more chance of blood exchange.
  7. Would your mate have paid the police to stay out of jail if he had a spare billion baht? Is the fact that a billionaire committing this crime any different to my foreign colleague who did exactly the same thing in Isan? Yes, he was on drugs/alcohol and dragged the poor motorcyclist 100 yards to his death. Now he followed the system and paid 700,000 baht. Boss paid 3 million baht to the family and is still hounded for one reason only - his fame and fortune. My daughter's classmate killed a motorcyclist when he was in Mattyom 2, driving his father's Merc. He even drove in into school! He went abroad for 2 years.
  8. Another 'Somchai'? Kind of sums up the Westerner's innate racism, yet so sensitive when the boot is on the other foot. Where I come from there are political groups that are against foreigners - there's absolutely nothing like skinheads or Combat 18 in Thailand. Colonialism has lasting effects on the fragile egos of some farang.
  9. You'll find that Thais have more integrity. Most people where I come from don't particularly like immigrants but due to the incredible woke Karens, they say nothing.
  10. It's ridiculous. Many don't understand the way things work here. I've got a friend who was put in jail for 15 years for a speck of Cocaine, just as she <deleted> off the wrong HiSos. Generally, cocaine use is a very minor charge, why are these people getting so upset, are they jealous of this guys moneyh?
  11. True, it could be spread by gay Thai men returning from abroad.
  12. I'm sure they meant with foreign tourists. How about a link to the original in Thai, maybe a mistranslation. Let's not attack the alleged culprit so soon.
  13. You have obviously not embraced the system.
  14. Just listened to thaat song, pretty good.
  15. Wow, that's not a very nice thing to say!
  16. You don't see most of what goes on. I lived in Isarn for 20 years and knew of 3 cases where drunk people killed motorcyclists. They were all fined 50,000 baht, it's the going rate. What make you think this guy should pay more? I don't know why many foreigners are upset with this case, when it happens every day
  17. The difference between you and Thais is that they understand Karma more. Once an action is done, the negative Karma cannot be erased.
  18. Please explain how the manufacturers of Red Bull are evil creatures. If you have any kids, would you want them to be locked up in a Thai jail?
  19. It's the same everywhere, remember OJ Simpson?
  20. Explain please. It certainly isn't equality across the board when a poor drunk, rice farmer in Isarn kills a motorcyclist and pays 50k baht, yet this guy is hounded by the ThaiVisa bashers and is exiled from the country after giving millions in compensation to the family. Some here want him to pay more just because he has lots of dough.
