Good to hear. I asked a doc today at Bangkok hospital about cost of a Chest CT, he said 8,000 baht. For that, I'll wait a few hours at the govt. hospital and use my SS, unless I die first!

Most Thais are very tolerant of farang, but don't really like them at the moment. Legalization will attract a better foreigner that the drunken Pattaya ones. Remember it was largely the hippies that found Thailand, and no fat ones like this drunken guy. Not sure why the hippies were not fat, well the men anyway.

Problem there would be they can take Citizenship away, if you commit a criminal offence. Would be a bit annoying getting citizenship taken way. -
You don't need an IDP, just use your Thai DL.

Foreigners and Thais don't need a medical cet. any more for renewing DL. My experience with the Pink ID card is not much use. Did you know if you leave your province, you still need to carry your passport as the pink ID is not valid, read the back. If someone accepts it, it is because they are not used to seeing Westerners with this ID, it is really for migrant workers. I have a blue ID now, that has many uses!

When renewing my DL in Khon Kaen 2 years ago, they wouldn't accept my Pink ID.

The casinos I know of are run by senior police. My nephew manages one in Ladprao, never any trouble. It's the ones run by criminals that are the bad ones.
