There is a hierarchical social ladder conflict here; teachers are high up the ladder whereas farang are not on it. Thai teachers certainly don't want foreigners who have better qualifications than them! I agree the system sucks, I was a teacher here for over 25 years.

It is one rule for Israel and another for Palestine. There never has been equality. For decades, Israel have had impunity to do basically whatever they like to Palestinians, like lock them up with no trial, Apartheid, displacement etc.

I'd say 99% of teachers get a WP paid for, visa maybe not. health insurance is mandatory in most schools, all govt. schools. When you reach 55 you can opt to keep it for life, for 432 baht a month. I worked at a govt school, getting 40k a month and got citizenship, so is possible.
