Really depends and as always ...

    ... Choose wisely

Yes, companionship does cost, unless you are the one being supported financially.

Take sex & emotional attachment out of the equation, and as a single parent, courting, living with, and marrying #4 ???? on paper, damn good investment:

    ... tutor for daughter

    ... maid/housekeeper

    ... gardener/groundskeeper

    ... translator

    ... personal shopper

    ... cook

    ... tailor

    ... hotel reservationist/negotiator

... handy person, she can; solder, weld, plumb, operate hand tools

All for the price of providing a roof over head, bed to share & transport...

... all of which I had anyway.  Additional cost, feed & clothe, which she makes hers own and my clothing anyway.

Best added plus, now I can invest in land & RE, results...

... living in TH 'rent free' for over 20 yrs

OK, I'm at her beckon call as her sex toy ...

... the things I have to put up with, it's degrading.

All means nothing if she isn't attractive. Not saying yours isn't but I've met guys describing situations like this and I wouldn't do it.

Happy, you sound like my wife.....assuming and guessing about everything. Of course, you are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but it is unwise for you to state your opinion as fact. Consider this....of all the knowledge in the world, let's modestly say that you are aware of .00000000000001% of it. Have you considered that the true knowledge of God is hidden somewhere in the balance of that, and you just haven't discovered it as yet? Keep searching my friend! Take it from a former "rich gone broke" alcoholic and drug addict, God the Father, Holy Spirit and Jesus are all real and can change your life dramatically when they come into your life. All you have to do is receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, and you will never have to worry about losing your life. You will find eternal life!

But using your exact same arguement, isn't there a chance that in that 0.99999999% that you don't know about fittobethaied is the error of your thinking that you do think there is a God?

  3. Has the money for first class, but doesn't have the wherewithal to use a search site like Skyscanner! (Flight search engines only been around 20 years)

Guess the op made his fortune as a male model ????

    I'm on #3.

    #1: young death.

#2: became a secret heroin addict from an inheritance that she didn't tell me about.

#3: still excited when I enter a room

#4? Prob won't be that excited when I pop into the room. This really is the last gasps of my hey day.

What age do you think the tail ceases to wag when the guy enters the room?

    Asking for a friend ????

I can't believe people are mis-naming Nobby. Oh, well.

Been to Buriram, had a nice 2 day-time, but the food is in the colorful, folkloric realm of a Mark Weins video, or a stolid pub serving up a steak. Restaurant economics argue against specialty options and upscale Japanese options in a place without a sizable cohort of affluent, educated people.

Buriram can't measure up to Bangkok any more than Cincinnati can compete with New York. They don't have the demographic who can and will spend for 5*.  So it's not there. You can get a lovely piece of tilapia right out the pond, but you can not get cheffy treatment of that fish.

We spent 6K baht on a pre fixe meal for 2 of tricked up Lanna food in Bangkok (great, but a one and done). That's not possible in Buriram.

In my Appalachian homeland (excuse me for living), they make a big deal out of how nice the BBQ is -because BBQ is low-grade swill that a monkey could fall out of a tree and make.

Even the so-called expensive restaurants in the Blue Ridge Mountains serving upscale southern food like corn bread in a little iron frying pan are subpar compared to having the same food in a tourist Mecca or a major city. Tourist and Yuppies = food scene.

    What's your BMI?

Don't say you don't know me.????

It's to you if you like the older generation.

And do they talk with you because they love your look and your jokes so much? Or are there other reasons?

Most of the time I don't pay the girls directly any money. I buy them drinks. Maybe lady drinks from which they get a little money, but maybe just drinks without any money connection. When I was young, I also bought the girls which I liked drinks or dinner. I didn't consider it "paying them" and I am pretty sure they didn't see it as payment.

If you want to test out how desirable your company is, try buying drinks for girls in a bar where the women's livelihood doesn't depend on their time in a bar and report back.

^^ this is what I saaid.
i just find it very perplexing that outwardly logical seeming people by day are really superstitous and illogical by night. how do they balance the inevitable internal conflict inside?

    Belief in God is irrational

Belief in the big bang is irrational

Belief in n a multiverse is irrational

    Belief in time is irrational

Predicting the future skillfully doesn't seem as irrational as any of the above.

Most women prefer violent thugs to good loving men.

You should know this by now.

If women were mostly selecting for violent thugs then wouldn't most men  be violent thugs?

Most fathers and step fathers and bfs are violent thugs producing ever more violent thugs?

In my part of the west I see woke men carrying babies strapped to their chest or incels playing dungeons and dragons.

Big list! Thanks. Google maps shows them. Was looking for local tips.

So you'd rather have a tip from one member of a grumpy old man's website than from chatgpt which scoured the entire internet and condensed a thousand guys recommendations? ????

Mostly true. But a lot has to do with your level of physical activity over the years. I'm 67 (retired), always kept active , running, swimming, mountain biking etc. I run 10k events now, won a few trophies, but the big reward is being healthy. Never too late to get the body back in shape.

Do you think doing all that exercise in the Thailand smog is actually making you healthy? It's the one question I ask myself too.
