Plenty of people get impacted ear wax without having done anything to cause it.

In fact this is the first thing to exclude in cases of hearing loss.

Very, very common. Seems to occur mainly in older men, perhaps because they tend to be bald and thus not need to shampoo their hair, a process that incidentally helps clean the ears.

    Ohh...I am bald!!! Lol

I'm in Bangkok and I will try the peroxide drops you suggested thanks.

Off-topic, but actually I never verbally talk with other hams because I find them too boring!! I use a digital system a bit like text messaging to contact and exchange small talk, but most of my enjoyment of the hobby is the technical challenge of designing/building antennas to achieve the contact.  It's a weird hobby...

Somewhere in that is a fantastic metaphor for life

The upside is it's good for your body. The downside is most people are unhealthy and social events are based around junk food and alcohol. I think I need a drink. These blueberries are overrated.

Start a group based on your interest.

Drink slowly when in a bar. Make your last drink non alcoholic.

Choose Thai food out, maybe not healthy, but it's not junk or ultra processed.

I did, 4 years ago, across the border to Siem Reap after 20 years in North Thailand.

Main reason - Thai Immigration' s complex, costly and beaurocratic Visa rules

Do you mind saying your monthly expenses in Thailand; what city? and then siem reap?

Back home: Cold, lots of old people, lots of people who go on long holidays to be away from home. And on top of that, lots of fat ugly women with attitude problems.

Thailand: More or less the opposite of above.

Since I live in Thailand, I didn't go on any holidays, because I am happy where I am.

Obviously not all is perfect in Thailand. But most people make the best out of whatever situation they are in. I guess (the Thai version of) Buddhism also helps.

Centre of bkk is young, rest of Thailand aging very fast.

But I do agree with your sentiments.

    A huge %.

That is why it is common for women to hook up with much older men, as old as their fathers, but hardly any fellas want to hook up with an old lady as old as their mothers.

Men who remarry after divorce overwhelmingly go for younger women.

In China any women over 30 is referred to as a “leftover”.

    It’s a man’s world.

In your opinion when is a man at his peak?

Incredible how much time and energy socializing with alchohol take away from a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

Everything most expats do in Thailand is combined with alchohol.

What do you do with all those extra hours now you're neither drinking or socialising?

    Oh okay,

Your idea is the reasons whybso many come short in Thailand, they think they can score higher in Thailand, and higher means higher maintenance. Do you think the average Thai girls is stupid?

The bigger difference in age and score, the more expectations if no common ground attaches  both together.

The foreigners often mistake giving them a average Thai lady a higher living standard, food, hotels, travels minimize the other expectations, will soon find out he is wrong.

If you want a good lady, find someoene who fits your rank and budget.

I agree. Aim for 1 to 1.5 higher and on average you'll get a good result.

But many think they can get higher than this and come unstuck.

    Thats  a strange statement

    Would you care to elaborate?

    Sure

Everyone has a score out of 10. "Out of his league" refers to the wimpy 5 aiming for the cheerleader 10.

If a western man in his home country was a 6 and therefore got 6's. And then in Thailand he is with a 6 and claims he gets the same level wherever he is. He doesn't understand that his score changes depending on location.

    In the UK I'm a 6. In Thailand about a 7.5

    If I moved to Saudi I'd guess a 1. (Because I'm not a Muslim)

Relationships are transactions and everybody wants the best they can get. So if a western guy came to Thailand and his new isn't better than his ex he has short changed himself.

I'm of a different mind set than most, and think all folks are the same, worldwide.  So you'll do as well here/TH, as you do in home country.   TH, it's just a location, the rest is up to you.

That was, is my experience.  Wanting a relationship, or more than one night, I found a few.  One night, more than a few.  Life is easy, don't over think it.

If a man is with the same quality of woman here as he got back home he's doing something wrong.

    Long hours is normal.

    Am too you to retire.

    I enjoy working.

700k might be the benchmark you to retire but it falls way short for me, in saying that rental income I collect from properties owned in my home country surpases my monthly income from working in Thailand.

What future pleasure do you imagine you'll enjoy more than enjoying a still substantial pleasure you could afford today?

I am a Christian and tend to be a Biblical literalist. That's the authority, not me.

You don't have to go to extremes. They can go on dates (no fornication) with, f. ex. 16 year of age and the father agrees to it, and find their love. I am not a believer in arranged marriages. Also, I wonder why you are getting so triggered. We don't live in a moral society, so you should be happy. But, if that would be the two options, either 18 yo whores or arranged marriages, I would choose arranged marriages.

They should not have the right to murder babies, regardless what time it is. No exceptions.

Regarding age of consent it's already established that women can not give consent, regardless how old they are. They consented to get into a man's house or have sex for a movie role and 20 years later they decide they did not consent. Also, if a woman has anything else than a cuck as husband, her opinion is most likely influenced by her man.

And let's look at biology again. Women are physical weaker and their hormones don't make them aggressive. They tend to agree easily to prevent being harmed physically and they tend to agree what their social peer groups think. So, yes, based on biological - I know biology is misogynistic - women can't think for themselves.

Nothing to be fixed as it's a fact.

That's how quoting is done correctly by the way! ☺️

You're very insightful on posts I've seen.

Not a Christian but would love to know why you are and a more biblical literalist  one too.

Immigrants from outside the EU countries made a net fiscal contribution of about £5.2 billion, thus paying into the system about 3% more than they took out. In contrast, over the same period, natives made an overall negative fiscal contribution of £616.5 billion.

https://www.ucl.ac.uk/economics/about-department/fiscal-effects-immigration-uk#:~:text=Immigrants from outside the EU,contribution of £616.5 billion.

You have premier league footballers paying tax on 50 million a year and an Albanian family next to my mother claiming every benefit going.

This "net contribution" of a whole group is useless imo.

Based on experiences... I'd rather have a non virgin thanks.

A million baht... WTF.  That would pay for how many non virgins in Pattaya?

    Unbelievable.

You think non virgins are better in bed I presume. Why wouldn't you want to be the man who teaches her? You'd rather other men did that for your future wife?

My daughter and her own family love Thailand and went back to the UK last weekend after their fortnight here. Her husband told me that the entire trip, for two adults and three youngsters, has cost nearly £11,000! £5500 was for 5 economy flights. They are quite well off but if prices keep going up they will be seriously considering destinations other than Thailand.

Sounds like they aren't spending wisely. Very very easy to get 5 adult flights London to bkk for 2500 to 3000 not 5500.
