Wrong it is currently supported, the support will drop with iOS 17, all current app versions are available for download

it is not an Android where support is cut after a couple of years.

Wrong,  so easy to find correct information ,  there is no support for iphone 6s ios 16. Says so on apple support .  iphone 8 on up is supported.

It seems to me that Thailand has the perfect built in remedy to people driving while under the influence (DWI) of anything, alcohol or ANY drug that inhibits their ability whether illegal, legal, prescribed, homegrown.

All that has to be done is to pass a law that a first offense is punished with a BT1000 fine and ALL convicted of DWI to have their Names, photos and neighborhoods of residence published publicly. A similar punishment for anyone accepting any bribe to circumvent the arrest, prosecution or conviction of said DWI.

As important as "Face" is in Thailand that public loss of face will make everyone think twice before driving somewhere after drinking.

This wouldn't work in the USA or in much of the west where people would be worried that you wouldn't spell their name correctly. Here no one seems to care what crime you commit. Lie, steal, commit adultery, there is no shame, there hasn't been for decades and it just gets worse.

There is something similar to that in China, a huge electronic sign that posts your name and traffic offense for all to see. In big red letters.

Same with me!  The requirement is that you photocopy every page of your passport that has a Thai stamp so I did that this year only to be handed back about 30 pages of copies saying they weren't required....

I just wish they would be consistent so we know what to prepare. Nothing more annoying than being given back lots of paper they say isn't required or being told that you need to go and get more copies of something that isn't required according to their list of requirements... Good job it's only once a year!

I am not joking here...... I prepare every page including the front cover of PP, one set in color, one in BW. I would always be asked for a color page from someone .  Same with the marriage Cert.   My last visit this week they asked to see the receipt of payment 1900. baht  from 2019  !   I had every single receipt  in my car at this time.   They were surprised when i returned with them.     They didn't have my 2019 extension in their computer system, and they wanted proof !   They gave me a yogurt drink and a cake for my trouble.

  4. Yesterday i read on the thaivisa, that an Evisa is indeed able to cross land borders for a border bounce, so all good ....   Until I read otherwise, just trying to understand the EVisa website now, when I put the details that I'm in Thailand it says I'm not eligible, when i put that i am in the USA I am. I am also confused as to why it says entry is at international airports.

I just sent an Email to the Thai Evisa site contact ,  I will post their reply when received.

    Here is my reply .....

You will need to present your evisa document on arrival.

    Thank you,

    Subject: evisa question

Can an Evisa be used at a land border crossing ?

Well, that seems simple enough.  You can just buy an evisa and do a land border bounce?  Or should have I been more specific in my question ?  Such as using a fresh Evisa ?
