"Certificate of Identity" Where to obtain...?
Actually, without an original receipt for a 2nd-hand item bought in LOS, I can see Thai Customs concluding that I had 'smuggled' the watch previously without paying the proper tax and duty, and so therefore still have to pay.
You never know how Thais are going to think. I've experienced them taking a piece of information and going off into a tangent so inconceivable, I wished I had not gotten out of bed that morning.

This 'Rolex purchased in Thailand' story has got me perplexed and confused. Last year I purchased an 8 year old omega seamaster from a private party (no receipt) here in Bkk, and I am about to fly out for several weeks, and return wearing my watch.
I might add that I also just had the omega service center completely overhaul, rebuild, and polish the watch and it looks brand new.
Is Customs going to try to tax me on an item already taxed and imported into Thailand? What is my defense against this absurdity? -
I have friends that have them back home and they look simple enough. Find a 'blueprint' online and have one built here. Or bring one with you the next time.

I've had my share of challenges, and I just don't buy it. Unless it's raging infection, meds only treat the symptom, never the cause. I do not base my statements on something I read on the internet or something that someone else said, I base my statements on my own personal testing and experience.
In 1990 I was on 5 meds, in 1991 I said goodbye to all of them and have never looked back. But you've got to do the work, there are no short-cuts.

There was a time when my BP was 155/95. Good old fashion diet and daily exercise, lost 74 lbs (never took any meds).
My most recent reading was 108/71.
But I understand how most people would rather just take a pill.

It's nice to see a real Thai (non-Chinese) for a change.

The Thai military government should step in here in the Thai fishery trade. It's not a public relations problem. It's a criminal activity and racketeering issue. The Thai military should step in and clean it up. Put a few Thai generals in charge of each association and plant and figure out what they are actually doing to hide activity and traffic in humans. The Thai military should be talking to workers as well. Get at the truth. Stop the crime in Thai fisheries.
For now the Military rule appears to be attempting to 'clean up' many things. And I currently am one of their biggest fans. However, this being Thailand, how long will these things actually stick?
I am feeling that it will be only a matter of time before various high ranking individuals will slowly come to figure out how to once again circumvent authority and line their pockets, as has been going on for so many years, decades, etc. You can't change the nature of Thai.

This seems humorous seeing how a large percentage of Bangkokians (particularly the business owners) are of Chinese extraction. I think the Thai's were spoiled by all the years of the affluent West (pre 2008).

Phillips has a repair and service center here in Bkk, and they can replace the heads for you. It's along the river at the end of Surrawong Rd. Google for map.

"I assume you are from West, and like all cultures, think our perception of time is "the right one, the rational one" etc."
Japan is most certainly not a 'Western' country, and they are extremely punctual and on time.
All Thai's love money. Time is money. However, the concept of 'time-liness' is just too abstract for most Thai's.

More than forty years ago, a group of researchers wrote an article claiming that the Eskimos of Greenland had a reduced incidence of heart attacks because they ate large amounts of whale and seal blubber, rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids.
Now George Fodor, of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, has shown that this is not true (Canadian Journal of Cardiology, published online April 13, 2014). The Greenland Eskimos as well as the Canadian and Alaskan Inuit suffer from heart attacks at least as frequently, and probably more frequently, than the non-Eskimo population. They also have a stroke rate that is far higher than that of the general population, they die 10 years earlier than the general population and their death rate is double that of the non-Eskimo populations.

Dr. John McDougall has a nice 2 minute explanation of what 'high blood pressure' is, and how to treat it.

I can't recall how many times I have seen Thai's moving forward while starring backwards at something. It doesn't matter if it is walking, on a motorcycle, or in a car/truck. This has resulted in me witnessing some devastating accidents over the years.
What is going through their minds?
If something is that interesting...stop what you are doing, pull over, and go check it out.

I find this fascinating and very promising, and makes perfect sense. A pint or two of young blood a couple of times a year and you're good to go.

Additional thanks to Macleans.

Thanks pool and Sheryl. Dr. Mason does indeed look very good.
What other Hospitals does he work at?
Because maybe we can get a 'less expensive' fee at another hospital.
-
We think either the Obturator Internis or the ST Ligament

Hi Sheryl,
Thanks for your reply. My daughter says that she thinks that it is a tendon covering the left butt bone. She is a 9 year ballet student, and has just past an audition for the Royal Ballet Summer Intesive program, and she is worried that it will hinder her performance while in England. She has had accupuncture, and Thai massage both several times, with no relief.

As I believe Sheryl implied...buy the Doctor, not the Hospital.

I am looking for a 'farang' Sports Medicine either Chiropractic Specialist, or Osteopathic Specialist, or M.D. sports specialist, for my daughter who is an avid dancer and has been sporting a very discomforting situation since New Years. She thought it would heal and go away on it's own, but the problem still lingers and is impairing some of her dancing ability.
Preferably in the Sukhumvit area. Over the years I have been told about several different guys, but never paid any mind as I had no need.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
