  1. Well, good for you that 91 is your number today, I can only hope. Sheryl mentions a site/company (that I have not checked), that will take care of everything, but at a cost. Depends on how fancy you want to go. https://www.amarinternational.com/pre-planning-funeral.html
  2. They are hard to find. I had only seen photos on the web. In 2003 I was flying back to the Bay Area from Bkk for a couple of weeks, and after doing some research, found some interesting inventory at Phil's Guitars in South San Francisco. I drive out to his store, and sitting behind the counter with his feet up, was Phil...noodling on his Brydland. It was like seeing Elvis at the supermarket...I was speechless. "Not for sale" he said. I went back to his shop 3 times before I finally wore him down, and flew home with 'the Byrd'.
  3. Thanks very much. I thought they wanted me at before age 65...? I'll call to verify. Back in 1992 I was 250 lbs. Started having all kinds of serious health issues and warning signs. A year later I was 150 lbs, and at age 43, felt like an 18 year old. Today I am still 150 lbs.
  4. Yeah, and steal all my guitars...?!!!
  5. I can't stop laughing...at all the 'comedians' on this forum. You guys neded your own TV show...!
  6. Only in Thailand… can a post about dying also include a discussion about ‘electric guitars’…!
  7. Thank you. Will check these out.
  8. That was a real beauty. A 1966 Gibson Byrdland. Gibson built 10,000 guitars in 1966, and only 45 completely hand carved/hand built Byrdlands. I bought it in San Francisco in 2003, and sold it in 2013, but I still miss it.
  9. I have been looking online and it seems the age limit is 65 at Thai Red Cross, Bangkok. I am 76 and married, but there is a chance I might outlive my Thai wife and be all alone. So I'd like to take care of business. I also reside in Chiang Mai part of the year, so I could go at either location. So...where can I sign up to have somebody take care of my body after I pass? I have no preference for burial or cremation, just the easiest most trouble-free cost effective disposal. I know everybody says "I'm in good health"...but regarding being in good health for medical donation...I still train almost every day, maintain a resting heart-rate of 50 BPM, BP 112/70, body fat 10%, and pretty much avoid all 'animal' products...fresh fruits and vegetables are my primary food source. I know..."who gives a sh#t"...! Dead is dead. Looking for advice regarding my passing here in LOS. Thanks in advance.

  11. I heard that they fired almost everybody, and hired some late arrival Canadians at half the price. Musk is a 'penny-pincher', and Donald likes it.
  12. "Here is their email : acsbkky(at)state.gov You can send them annoying messages, also tell them you H8T Trump" Thanks Nick.
  13. Hi Jingthing, Yeah...thanks for that. I guess 'no news is good news'. I guess I was expecting 'American proficiency'. All my previous applications since 1969, have been 'in person'. This is a first for me. Kind regards
  14. Okay, Thanks. I used registered mail Thai Post. Which tells me something. But I was hoping for a: "Hey, we got your Passport, and are processing the new one as we speak. Should be x days". Your Friends at the US Embassy I have been in Thailand too long...to know that "if there is a way to 'fritz' something up...it will happen here". I don't trust nobody...! (how's that for a double negative) Thanks...!
  15. 12 days ago I did a mail-in Passport Renewal to the US Embassy in Bangkok. I just spent some time on their web site to see if I could check my 'status', but could not find anything. As in...did they actually receive my passport and documents...? Was everything acceptable/okay, etc. I feel like I just mailed my info into a big 'black hole'. Is there a 'link' to check up on this type of information...?
  16. These here 'Thais' are an ingenious and creative bunch. The rest of the world could learn by their example.
  17. Yes, amazing…! In developed nations…50 is not old. Are you Thai…?

  19. Sorry, I did mean Chiang Wattana (Bangkok). My Passport Visa reads: Non-B My extension reads: Thai Wife Regarding the two posted links: the first one is regarding applying for your 'Visa' online, not an appointment for Chiang Wattana. The 2nd site asks for my email to send me a password...so far no password sent after 5 attempts. It's 2:38 in the afternoon...must be nap time. Thanks again. If anybody has another 'Book appointment on-line' for Chiang Wattana, I would much appreciate it.
  20. I will renew my 'B' visa next month for my 'Thai Wife' classification. I have several times gone to the Thai Immigration website looking to book my appointment in advance. And I can not seem to find the appropriate 'page'. I know it's probably right under my nose... Does anybody have the 'link'...? Thanking you in advance Cheers
