I would be shocked if there was not Cambodians etc on every site in Pattatay and BKK. Anyone in business here in Thailand knows it is hard to get staff for basic manual work. A friend ( Thai ) has a pub in BKK and said every staff I can see is Vietnamese, he can not get staff. And this is a nice restaurant/pub.

Builders in Pattaya pay 1,000 by per month per head to not have a problem for them to work in Chonburi. That probably translates to a million baht a month to someone, nice earn.

I would guess that normally when the police catch them in the pickup's ( which you can see every day going around Pattaya ) they have pay to keep going, that is the motivation for the chase, the police want their penalty cash

A very wealthy, older successful guy, usually that means intelligent also, is attractive to some younger women. Sometimes also smart women who appreciate intelligence, and "winners", not just the gold digger types.

And they are good providers, as is a requirement in the animal kingdom, .it is just that the provisions are different, items like mercedes sports cars, 1st class travel and luxury houses are handed out, not to mention the huge divorce settlement.

Done a lot of different work here, some clubs, condos and houses. Rarely does a job start and finish with the same builder.

One builder here I know is a nice guy and knows what he is doing, done dozens of condo fitouts for a developer invester friend, but hopeless on his cash flow so always has a string of people chasing him to finsih jobs. Since he has most of the money and maybe some problems with the job he does not go back.

Last couple of years okay as my brother in law is a good builder. If he wants a builder to finish it I can get him down. He is currently in Bung Kan and just asked me re work as he has just finished the job he had there. Great guy and will finish the job. He will bring a team with him, he has done all types of work in Pattaya condos houses and bar fitouts.
