This topic has come up very good time for me.

My wife and three other friends,  all retired teachers want to go and visit New Zealand and Australia.

They plan to fly to the north of the north island and then drive down to the south island and then fly to Australia.

My wife has both a Thai and a UK passport  and plans to use the UK passport to enter and leave both New Zealand and Australia.

The others only have THAI  passports.

We did a similar visit some 12 years ago and I remember having to get some electronic Visa for Australia. I also remember you have to be careful where you got the Electronic thing from else it cost you a lot more money.

Would someone kindly point me into the right direction to apply for whatever she needs

can anyone recommend a car hire company such that they can hire a car in the north and drop it off in the south

    Thanks

Google it for what you need.

When it would be the RTN chief using the word 'amphibious' for that vessel / landing ship, and not just an ill informed Nation journo, there might be a question rising about the Admiral's 'qualification', as it is not, at all, 'amphibious', as it can impossibly move out of the water, on land! (Dis-)embark means of transportation by land and water, or vice-versa, no doubt, ...but in itself, no, by no means (as opposed to, smaller, units built by the USA, Russia, China f.i., which are able, though in a restricted way, to move out of the sea on land, and vice-versa).

So, ring-ring, The Nation, what will it be?

The other ones being decommissioned, why not upgrade these 4 ships would cost less that buying the one replacement ship. They are playing with the Chinese government to much they will find themselves in a mess in a few years. The Chinese will be doing some tricks with this ship before they release it, mark my words. The Chinese are very smart.

People should start to flood the net with pictures of their local, dirty beaches with the hashtag #AmazingThailand or something. Shaming is apparently the only thing that will get the government and communities in gear.

Ha, don’t hold your breath, to much trouble to them. It can be reversed so quickly but it would spoil the MP’s free lunches and dinners were they show off. Mostly same over the world.

white people numbers might be down, and businesses setup to cater to them might be suffering, but Chinese and Indians are still coming.

#2 does not apply to real tourists. first time visitors or once every few years with a very long return to home country not affected.

there is a a lot of buzz right now about a global recession. people don't go on vacation.

UK is on a war footing with fear and paranoia about shortages and civil unrest.

No they are not it is the likes of you in the press etc coming out with B/S. For a fact UK are talking seriously with Australia, Canada, USA, Far East, West Indies, India to mention just a few that are wanting to sign a free trade agreement with Britain. The NZ Minister of Trade was at Downing St yesterday discussing a trade deal. I am a Kiwi half cast, left UK 30 yrs ago for NZ.

We got plenty of Lamb and cheese to sell Britain and plenty of stuff to buy off them.

Chachoengsao, eh?  Is there some threat of invasion from Cambodia in that direction?

Chachoengsao is close to Bangkok.  Excellent expressway between the two.  And a railway also.

In the other direction, easy to reach into Isaarn from that base.

Can't help but wonder what "contingency" is being planned for with all these armored vehicles.

Many countries in the world buy stuff like this to replace old vehicles to keep the army ready for anything.

They are getting a good deal with the free ones.

They are members in APEC. Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation. There are 21 country members. I have an APEC card which allows me into any of the countries without a visa for 90 days at a time.
