they're wrecking havoc aren't they. i had police walk into my house last week. they sat with my wife and asked all sorts of questions. they even spoke to our neighbours. when asked why, they said they checking on all farang households to ensure that we aren't troublemakers and didn't have any domestic violence issues. my wife laughed at them. they weren't impressed but we didn't give a damn. many other farang houses were also visited that week for the same matter.
They wouldn't have got past my gate.
I would have shown them my domestic violence.
You are obviously not a smart guy, if they wanted to get past your gate they would, what did you mean. "would show them your domestic violence "
You should know the do's and don't see if you been here for some time. Your comments tend to suggest you just arrived with a Falang cocky attitude.

I would pick Spain any day than Thailand. Very easy to get visa for wife I did it last year but UK do not recognise the Schenzen visa. Property is very cheap. I lived in Mallorca for 4 years had a charter boat back when Franco was in power. The most greener part of Spain is Galisia, there are thousands of abandoned villages and farm type homes made in Stone. If you are for it you can buy a Finca/farm with many acres from 70,000 to 200,000 Euro depending on it's condition. It can get quite cold and snowy in Galicia Winter.
So many businesses for sale like restaurants/bars cheap. You need to do every thing through a good lawyer.
There is a UK paper click on Google "Olive Press Spain" you can join their expat site bit like Thai Visa another good site is "Think Spain" property's etc.
Property is starting to rise a little. The Spain visa office in BKK are very helpfull their site have the application forms and explains all you need to apply. You apply for residency once you are in Spain.
You can find property agents any where in Spain through Google. Rentals are cheap for long term, 1 yr. the best area in down the east coast between Valencia and Malaga. People are very nice and helpfull and language much easier to learn.
Email me through Thai Visa if you want to ask me things. I went through all this last year we planned to open fashion shops buying from Pratunam Bangkok markets but the rules and conditions did not suit me and my Thai wife did not want to leave her family of house.

I would not be arsed over the 1,000bt, it would have ended up a lot cheaper if you paid the 1,000. You got the samples for free are you expecting every thing free Man.

Go down to the Thai Consulate off Queen Street in Auckland and check it all out.

As baht has been gone down fast lately sounds reasonable as they have to observe exchange rates when they make much of a change. Normally this visa is obtained in Savannakhet these days so be sure you can get before you make the trip. Have you checked into extensions from immigration?
Have you not been following the decline on the Malasian currency over the last few months.

I went through it all. I from New Zealand my wife died from Cancer and I had death cert, like you have divorce cert.
You need to go to your Aussie embassy in BKK and get certificate from them to show you are free to marry.
Go to the Ampore office show them and they will give you your marriage cert to your Thai GF.
End of story.

Hi Guys
I think for sure if checking in at Panang is like most other country departure places the want to see a visa or outward bound ticket to let you board the plane.
Most all country's at checkin will not give you a boarding ticket without a visa or outward bound ticket.

Do I probably absolutely need to show a ticket out of Thailand?
I've had 2 tourist visas from Penang since May 2014. Got another one in Laos 6 months or so ago.
I can just fly into BKK from here, hang out there for a few days, then head back to the South. May go ahead and ask another agent though.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
I think you will have a problem when you check in at Panang, am sure you would need a visa or 100% show an onward ticket out of Thailand. You saying do you really have to show a onward ticket looks to me like you do not have one. Other than that get a return train ticket to Thailand to show a return to Malaysia it will not cost you much to waste the return trip.

Hi. I did it all early this year. Google Visa Spain. We did not need to go to the Spain Embassey.
Things you need to take.
1: marriage cert.
2: bank statements and bank certificate to show you have enough funds to cover your stay.
3: accomodation booking to cover your stay from the 1st day to the last day.
4: flight bookings direct to Spain.
5: passports.
You can email the visa office they are very helpfull will tell you all things. The website will also tell you what you have to show.
It took around 2 weeks to get my wife passport back, stamped.
You can go onto www.booking.com to book your accomodation, you do not have to pay, you will pay direct to the hotel on your stay. You can cancel this later if you need with no cancel fee.
At the visa office there is a travel agent on the floor below who do a flight booking for you you do not pay for the flight they just charge you 2,000bt for the service.
You can apply 3 months before you intend to go. Hope it helps. Contact me though ThaiVisa if you need to ask me anything.

Don't see Aussie on the list
It said Australia still needs visa but can buy one on arrival. That is all to do with Australia giving them shit for the execution of the 2 Aussies for drugs.

Hi Mate
I had the same plans. The UK does not recognise the Shchengen visa. We went to the Spain visa place in Bangkok. You can get in touch with them. Go onto google, Visa Spain the give you all the info. If Spain issue you it you must fly into Spain and you must show flight tickets. The floor below the visa office has a travel agents they will issue you with ticket document, you do not have to pay, only around 200baht for their service. You must also show your accomodation bookings in Spain. Book with "Booking. Com" on line you can always cancel it later. You must show bank statements showing enough funds to last you the time.
If you decide you want to live in Spain you can apply for residence for your G/F through a lawyer is best when there.
The visa place is very helpfull there is an email address on the site, they respond very quick. We where going to the Valencia area, Javea, very nice lot of expats live there.
Best of luck.
You can apply for UK visa at the Madrid UK visa office. Hope all this helps.

Wow you do not know much about finding things out. Google is better than any thing to get your answeres
The U.S. Embassy is on Wireless Rd. Click US Embassy up on google it will tell you phone numbers, opening hours and many other things, probably also give you an email address.
Do not understand some of you guys asking for info when you can get the positive answeres on your computer.

You have to look at the reason these people are on these boats, for a start they are not Assylum seekers they have not left their country's because of Cival Wars or Persecution. They are just looking for a better life. So in reality they are classed as illegal immigrants.
So why should other country's take them in for this reason. They will only try and take jobs away from that country's legal citizens.
Same with all the boat people in Europe.
They should be given food and taken back from where they came from.
-
At immigration only one passport.
But for flight check you often will need both. Here you need to show the passport you entered the country on. The airline is concerned that you are still legally here before checking you in. It can make problems for them if you are on an overstay and don't have the money to pay the fine for example.
Rubbish, I have done it many times the checkin wants to check passport name covers the booking and visa for the country you are going to so the Swedish one covers this, only the Thai passport for immigration.

Or maybe show the Swedish one for check in and Thai one at immigration?
Yes, show the Swedish passport at checkin and the Thao one at immergration.

Sorry to say your son has taken the Thai marriage hit. Sho sounds part Chinese if so and they where Hi So they would not allow the daughter to marry a Falang with none unlimited money. The worst decision he is making is to move in with them.
My Thai wife's daughter got married yesterday, we negotiated sin sod at 250,000. Which is a lot for normal villagers, we supplied the big party with music, drinks, food and many many other things.
If he has handed over money already his brains have transferred down to the small head below, sorry, this is the big problem with the Falang,
Will be difficult for him to make a living here but tell him to stay clear of a business venture with the girls family he will sign his death warrant.
He will not get the money back for sure.
Where did he meet his GF.
My daughter in law is 18 she does dancing at party's that have a large music stand, now she has her own dance girls and runs the business he boy friend now husband is 24 he is a singer at these party's so they have a good little business going.
Best of luck.

They will not listen to any one on the outside who would give good advice, same with Thai Air the government ministers have got their noses to far into the company, the answere is stearing them in the fave, they need a foriegn CEO, the ministers should keep their noses out and these free flights should be done away with.
To many officials in the fishing industry getting a very nice back hand to keep the rules as they where.
Nothing will change.
So sad.
I truely thought the General would have most of it sorted by now.

Isuzu and Toyota will be planning their next moves, ie: break down their factories and move to the Phillapines
And then when the Thai authorities come running to them the Japanese will remember how they where treated.
-
If I were you I would get a cheap flight to Malaysia and come back by air.
