  1. Last year I was on my bike driving up from the beach, came to the main road and tried to take the short cut to my condo room and turned RIGHT I seen a cop on his bike coming down the road and pulled off. He gave me a ticket and took my Thai licence I had to go to his police office down the road. I went through n and showed the document, paid 200 they had to call the copper to come to the station with my license, he did and I got it back.

quite legal for them to do this.

  2. Lamb chops. Love Em. I from New Zealand so eat a lot of them and roasted leg of lamb.

i live most of the time in Khon Kaen. I go to Makro and buy frozen packs of NZ loin chops and legs of lamb and boneless packs of shoulder. They are cheaper than I pay in NZ. I buy a few and put them in my freezer.

Hmm.. If I simply come to airport will I be detained for such overstay? I'm ready to pay 20k fine. Can I easily leave the country after paying the fine?

It is 500 baht a day. 90 days 45,000. I think they will just arrest you first and hold you in jail till the judge is ready to see you. Why the hell did you leave it for 90 days. You do not have any options.

  5. As far as i know you need to enter the country that gave you the Schengen visa first then leave and gotothe next Schengen country, if your next country is not in the EU you will need to get a visa for that country.

if your schengen visa expires before your flight back to BKK  makesure you are back   Back in Helsinc. Another point. I thnk with it a multi visa you will get a new 50 days whenyou go back in.

there is a expiry date on the visa. Check that.

You got some pretty good responses in your last thread

Hi. When we go back to New Zealand for 2-3 months i go to the elctricity payments   Office and pay an amount to cover. I pay my internet monthly fee for 3 months in advancd. No problems.

  7. Hi. Cannot help with type of visa but if you need a very good profesional high grade Thai lawyer i can recomend one. I am in Khon Kaen. She is a lady and does lot of work for government departments. Helped a lot of ex pats up here and other places.

She could help you fight your husband conditions. Contact me if you need her details. You can call or mail her with your problem and she will tell you your rights and get them for you. She is narried to an Australian PHD guy and they are close friends of ours.

  8. You are right. I have company in New Zealand. I used to import shoes from India for some big retail customers in NZ. After 6 yrs i stopped. .  The problem there was the same. Their Last's (wooden foot sizs) were always for narrow feet. Many times we would need to pay for our own wide size last's.  Indias largest customer Base was Asian countries, narrow foot soles. Thailand have the same problem they will supply many western  countrys but if they want wide soles the customer has to pay for new foot moulds.

  9. Hi

i have had APEC card for many years, I am from New Zealand. First you need to be a citizen of a member country. Second you have to do regular business with another member or members.

When applying you have to show proof of business. Overseas like Comercial Invoices and flight tickets to member countries.

There are 22+ Pacific rim members. You do not need to apply for visa to any of the countries.

The care last's for 3 yrs. it takes around 2 months to get renewal cards as you have to wait for the member countries to ok you.

we have an import company and we import from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and few odd things from Vietnam.  Thailand is one of the hardest countries to import from, they want so many tax's and the suppliers do not understand an FOB price (freight on board) needs to be competitive. I have had so many stupid excessive price quotes and never been able to do business with suppliers here.  I tried getting competitive prices for pineapples but their quotes are 2-3 times higher than you can buy in a store.

  10. Hi

I presume you paid the overstay fine, 500 per day 30k. I overstayed 26 days I went to Nong Kai and over to Laos.

I paid the fine 13k got a receipt and a stamp in my passport emigration were very nice and helpful. I went over to Laos came back and got another 90 days, I have an APEC card.

Cannot understand you going to court if you reported to immigration.

Go to the Thai consulate or embassy in your country and apply for a visa you should have no problem under 90 days.

I am sure you would have gotten a stamp in your passport if you had a ban

  11. "PS the british consulate and embassys in uk and mongolia were a complete waste of time i am disgusted by their..."

I'm surprised that you found a British embassy or consulate in the UK, where was it located?

Where you disgusted enough to refuse to take the emergency travel document that they issued to your passport-losing partner by which you were able to continue your travels?

Your correct they did all they can do for the girl within their remit, but one suspects there would be some who believe that the British goverment should have issued a 10 year full replacement pp immediately in the UK and put it in the diplomatic bag to Mongolia :D

    Does not happen that easy.

  12. I live in Khon Kaen 2 weeks ago I renewed my license which had expired in February 2015 I showed my old one and my yellow house book. I went into the room to name the 3 colours on the lights, green, yellow and red. I came out gave the piece of paper to the desk lady, she gave me a form and told me to go up the room and wait for my number to be called. It was called, had my pic taken paid 250 baht and received a 2 year license. All done within 1 hour..

I think different ones make their own rules up.

  13. Wonderful creatures, they have a ravenous

    Appetite for mosquitos!!! Flies too.

And your finger if you put it to close. Went into the kitchen one night and a big one was on the mesh window cover. I got the wife's brother to get the sweeping brush, with a long pole on it and he pinned it to the mesh, I got my thick garden gloves and fitted 2 on my hand and grabbed it around the neck and lifted it off, his bloody mouth was open hissing and the teeth where quite big, took it out and through it in a field opposit. Had another one under the clutch got that putting a pillow over it's body but the teeth with it's mouth open made you very careful.

  14. This is very good planning in Vietnam, I love the place, my Thai wife and I have been there 3 times in the last couple of years and we love it. IF my wife would agree to leave her family members we would go and live there, without a bout. It is cheap, food ok, people very friendly, very little crime and authorities are very helpfull.

Going again early next year. I can see a lot of expats moving over there.

  15. @jacksam.

    I dont understand :(

He has 60days his Australian G/F has 30 days. They want to be able to stay in Thailand for 90 days. He wants to know from the experts HA HA on Thai visa forum what are his best options to do to get 90 days each. Quite plain to understand if you read him correctly.
