  1. Tell your stepson to seek financing at a bank, rather than thru the car dealership.

You stated that the cost of the vehicle with 7% VAT is 974,000 Baht, and your stepson will place a 20% down payment.

Approximate cost of vehicle:  910,280 Baht

    7% VAT: 63,720 Baht

    Total cost: 974,000 Baht

    20% down payment: 194,800 Baht

    Amount to finance: 779,200 Baht

    Interest rate of loan: 2.69%

    Length of loan: 84 months

    Monthly Payment: 10,187.30 Baht

Cold and/or flu are both the result of a VIRAL infection.  Covid is a VIRAL infection so why would anyone just assume it is not Covid?   If you were exposed to a cold virus u certainly could have been exposed to a covid virus.

wear a mask, wash hands, stay home are best ways to avoid virus

With a cold (aka a rhinovirus), a person would have tell-tale signs like a sore throat, possibly followed by congestion and perhaps even the sniffles.

With COVID, symptoms would resemble that of the flu. Aches/pains, high fever, and the possibility of other symptoms. If a person is experiencing symptoms related to the rhinovirus, then obviously it is not COVID (or the flu).

I will give you $0.02 for stating the common cold, the flu, and COVID are all caused by viruses.

This tiktok thing is nothing more than stealth communist Chinese infiltrating users personal details.

Trump is absolutely correct in shutting it down.

    MAGA

    You can't be serious?

If the Chinese want personal details about US citizens, all they have to do (once again) is hack the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Donald has left the front door open.

  4. Out of curiosity, where are you streaming from, and what app are you using?

It is not normal for a laptop's fan to run continuously, unless (a) it's an under-performing laptop, or (b) the app or browser has an issue (a bug?) processing the data.

P.S. I assume you are using your computer in a cool environment, not in a sweltering jungle like environment.

  5. Congratulations!

I had to do something similar with my first born (however I had a passport) back in 2004. Documentation was faxed to the hospital, and that was sufficient to get me listed as the father (obviously with the mother's consent).

Later when I was able to travel to Thailand, I petitioned for my daughter to get US citizenship using her Thai birth certificate, among other docs.

    I think you will okay.

There is nothing wrong with people questioning certain aspects of the program.  Do a bit of study on the engineering of the space suits, the Van Allen belt and some of the questionable photographs taken on the moon.  No one should take anything verbatim and should do some due diligence and form their own opinions.  I like the fact that some people challenge what is rubber stamped.

Van Allen Belt? Do you even know where that is located in relation to the moon?

Appreciate your input. I am not one much for design (while I have to admit that I am still not used to the newer Pajeros).

I am big on comfort, as I will have to use the car for business and that means a lot of km.

Also, I am big on safety: airbags and assistance.

Reliability and a number to call and get fixed in the middle of the night is another topic high up on the list (the guys at the Ford showroom made some interesting claims with regards to support while the guys at Toyota showroom where a bit clueless to say the least).

The Toyota showroom folks probably gave you the "deer in the headlights look" when you asked about repairs. This is probably because Toyota vehicles are solid, and rarely need fixing. Sure, you have to get maintenance performed on it, but that's the same for any vehicle.

He probably also had to pay the other driver to get his pickup fixed.

What is the point of going through the whole court and punishment saga when most can't afford it. Does anyone want to see the jails full of thousands that can't pay fines? What would that accomplish?

The reason, IMO, for the accident rate is not because of the police, but a far more fundamental psychological reason, which would not be appropriate on TVF.

Why else would a m'bike driver on a m'bike with 3 children just ride out onto a main road with vehicles going over 90kph without looking to see if anyone was coming? I saw that all the time driving to the wife's village.

A person should not be thrown in jail because of the inability to pay a fine.

A person should be thrown in jail if they are caught driving DRUNK.

  9. I live in the US. Three weeks ago I was tested for COVID-19, and the results were negative. Since then, I had a medical procedure done (colonoscopy... again, all well), and I have hung out with friends at my local watering hole, and even visited the beach for a couple of days with the family. We are still fine.

The virus seems to be very particular as to whom it affects.

  10. Slightly off topic, but the Fortuner looks very similar to the Highlander that is available here in the US. The folks that I know that own this type of vehicle have never stated anything negative about the vehicle. It is appointed with nice features, and is reliable.

I personally drive the Toyota 4Runner SR5. It is spacious in size, and solid as a rock after nearly 4 years. I sure wish it were available in Thailand... and that it would be affordable. ????

I would never buy a Ford (or any other american vehicle).
