Seems like none of the Thai media has asked Wissanu about the rather interesting story about him that was released last week online.
-
He also warned that if people still crowd stores to purchase booze, the government will once again impose a ban.
You caused this to happen. Your pathetic and unnecessary extension of the initial Songkran alcohol ban caused these crowds. Your plan made it impossible to social distance the day before the alcohol ban and the day after the alcohol ban. All this was caused by your decisions. Nobody else to blame.

I think he is incorrect. No country is in the midst of a second wave. We are still in the first wave as are other place so I have no idea what he means by - Singapore is among several countries around the world that have suffered a second wave of infections.
That is clearly wrong.

Seeing as most of the senior staff (how many vice presidents does a company need?) are ex air force boys they probably have close ties to Prayut and his merry men.
This statement from him sounds good, but will this actually be enforced when Thailand lives on who your friends and connections are? I am not so sure.

All those ideas make sense, however how does he possibly expect them to be able to enforce a two hour shopping limit?

Not interested in playing a round of golf whilst wearing a mask.

Fleet Golf Course is for...Thai,s only until further notice....nice!!!
Incredible.

Inevitable. Once the country fully opens up there is no avoiding stuff like this on public transport. It was exactly the same right up until the moment they announced the lockdown.
Let's hope masks really do stop the spread.

So because around 75 people were arrested for congregating together to drink that means the rest of the adult population should be treated like children and are not allowed to have a beer at home?

A sign of things to come in that area I reckon. Far too many new hotels like the Hyatt and many others being built on that same stretch of Sukhumvit from Nana to Asoke. They will be hemorrhaging money from now on.

Erm, so around 45% of the Thai population are drunk every day? Okay then.

Not really an issue, but you do need to do something. A pest control company to come and spray every three months does the job - literally never see ants or cockroaches at all. And the spray is safe before anyone asks.
But yeah, if you don't do that then ants are a problem.Definitely. No problems with ants or cockroaches for us. Only thing that can be a nuisance are mosquitoes.

I just feel happy not to be treated like a child by the authorities. If they cannot control a small minority of their own citizens' behaviour then that shouldn't impact the rest of society who might like to be able to have a beer at home.

Will these pledged projects worth billions of baht actually help the needy? Those who stand in food lines every day?
Those who applied for 5,000 baht handout and got denied?
Wouldn't it just be much (better) easier to approve the 28 million applicants the 5,000 baht?
Fully agree. All these pledges of this and that don't really seem beneficial at the moment when people need money for food and drink.

Never knew there was a Tourism Council of Thailand and a Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Not to say Thailand is still not a great holiday destination for many, however you would have to be utterly mad to book a holiday to the other side of the world at the moment.

Bizarre and unnecessary power trips as usual here.
So I take it someone living in Pathum Thani can just drive to Rangsit or Bangkok to get their beers?
-
A bit disappointing that shopping malls are still closed. I don't frequent them a lot but could definitely do with a trip to buy some stuff (yes, I know you can order online).
I went a large Tesco yesterday with all the food outlets open, banks open and the markets selling were open etc. It was packed. I wonder how that is massively different to say opening a Central department store.

just be careful.... one thing should have warn you from start is the fact that she spoke good/perfect English, meaning she has been around
Even though the OP is on the wind up, posts like this are absolute nonsense.
I take it you don't spend any time around the generation of Thais that perhaps went to an international school, studied abroad, work in a English orientated company?
I guess my wife didn't learn her English in a bilingual school here and then when she went to university in England, it was whilst she was secretly working the bars of Bangkok or Pattaya before I met her ????.

They should offer discounts as many international school are asking teachers to take a salary cut.
Where have you heard this?
I know a good number of teachers at other international schools (at about 5 or 6 of the better international schools in Bangkok) and haven't heard of any news about reducing teachers salary. That news would spread pretty quickly amongst staff at other schools.
We are still open and working therefore there is no way they can reduce salary.

Muang Ake were all ready and prepared to open tomorrow, now it looks like Sunday ... we have decided to wait until Tuesday... we avoid hols and weekends as they insist you join up to make a group of four or more ...so could be waiting a while to play...
Can you post an update on here after you've played please? We were planning on going there next weekend.

Tesco and Foodland both had the signs up yesterday. I am assuming they haven't been bothered to take them down until 11am today.
-
The situation isn't ideal for anyone. The school should have in place a structured remote learning plan for this time. The international school I work in are pretty much offering the same timetable as the children would do normally, live lessons, reading sessions, 1 - 1 meetings, online after school clubs etc.

The KTB online banking website and app are truly awful and horrible to use.
I get paid into KTB from work but transfer it straight out to my K Bank account which has a great and simple app. I wouldn't setup anything online with KTB.
