Another scintillating idea from the TAT. I am guessing someone in the upper echelons there Googled 'Generation Y' and thought this should be our new target.

My personal savings probably should be higher, but I prefer spending money on nice things and holidays etc now whilst I am still young. I have an international teachers pension in the UK and also pay voluntary NI contributions too.
My salary is exactly the same as I am still working full time.

Seeing as Chaeng Watthana and most other Thai government offices haven't even brought in the idea of staggered lunch breaks (most of the places fully shut for one hour) then there is no way something like this is plausible. Another Prayut idea with little thought or planning as to how it would be implemented.

Expensive, but it is a fantastic school and definitely the best British curriculum international school in Bangkok.
They are one of the largest international schools with well over 2000 students so it is clear that there are a lot of parents happy to pay those high fees. The people who are benefiting the most are the staff that work there and will be given free education for their children.

Gen Prawit urged the committee to urgently push forward smart city developments to promote development, yield benefits to the general public, promote equality and improve quality of life.
Urging. Buzz words. Committees etc etc etc. This is all these guys seem to do.

It will never happen.

Absolutely impossible to control.

The contract should stipulate any extreme circumstances / force majeure payments. However, being a government school I doubt these things are factored in to a contract.

would likely be added to the cost of the air ticket as a supplement
As usual, thoroughly unclear by these people. How would I as a foreigner be able to stipulate that I am not a tourist and I already have my own fully comprehensive health insurance with my job in Bangkok already. Or are they perhaps blanketing every single non - Thai as a tourist.

No you don't need a job offer. You can just go and apply.

Those new buildings due to open in the next year or so could become redundant. The big project near Queen S MRT and the one not far away from Asoke on Phetchaburi MRT should definitely be worried.

They continually mention the 'second wave'. There has not been a real first wave, and as history has shown in pandemics, a second wave would come much further into the future.
It seems like the CCSA are talking about a wave that lasts a month or two before moving onto a new wave which is completely and utterly wrong.

Truly scandalous how much this company is funded / rescued by tax payers.
One day there will be a real exposé on THAI and how it has been ran.

Have a day off. Boris Johnson's PM salary is approx 150,000GBP / year.
How many other 'democratically elected' PM's (not presidents like Trump or Putin) can you name that are multi $ millionaires whilst spending their working life in the military?

His role is basically to lie and protect the establishment at all costs. Andrew Drummond's investigation on him that was published last week tells us all we need to know about his character.

If the group wants to seek the truth, they can find it from evidence in legal cases, some of which have already seen verdicts
????
Yes, all those legal cases that have been fairly dealt with by the Thai courts.

Everything and everyone in the upper echelons of Thailand are part of the problem that holds this country back.

I would most likely guess the tourist numbers they got from January - mid March will be pretty close to the final figures for the whole of 2020. People will not be booking a holiday here any time soon.

An interesting definition of desperation.
There are families in my village who are desperate to feed their children.
Mainly day labourers, don't qualify for assistance.
Of course, that is the unfairness of life.
There are millions of poor people all over the world. I don't live in a village in rural Thailand so that rightly or wrongly doesn't impact my day to day life at all.

Another 'order'. These droughts and floods happen each year and there has not been one plan issued by these guys about trying to fix them.

I hope so. Desperate to get to ikea (yes I know you can order online but not everything is available on there).

There was a place next door to Cabbages and Condoms on Sukhumvit that used to do them.
