Good to see the priorities are in order here.
What about all the fake news that has been spread by the health minister or the tourism minister etc. Will they face any charges ?????

Absolutely zero sympathy. They knew precisely what has been occurring around the world recently.

Not surprised. This was inevitable. It will be very interesting to see if people fully follow it.

So did they come up with any plans / ideas in that meeting nearly three weeks ago?

It keeps being urged, but it isn't being implemented.
Thailand has had the luxury of a very slow increase in cases from late Jan - now, yet have done nothing to prepare for this inevitable rise. The rules won't be followed without proper enforcement, however most things of any real importance in Thailand aren't properly enforced.

Well, most of those are not being followed at all.

I imagine it goes on here all the time yet is covered up by the establishments in charge. Right from the very top. I am sure Apirat referred to the army as 'sacred' recently in one of his interviews. The man is completely deluded and people like him are primarily the reason why Thailand can't move forward in its future.
I would love to see some of these senior military chumps in Thailand with all their fake badges and who have bought their position and rank actually fight in a real war on the front line. All of the action they have ever seen is against their own citizens in one of the embarrassing number of military coups in modern history.
The day the army are moved fully out of any form of power in Thailand will be a joyous day. I just hope it isn't too far away.

That sounds like a bit of a cluster ****. We have about 2 months before students are back from holidays, so have some breathing space to sort things out. I'm looking at a few programs to see which will work and will get the students to do some practice woth me before the school starts. Nothing else to do the next 2 months, so may as well do prep.
As it is still term time we have to keep going. We have to do 180 days teaching / year so if we stopped now we would have to do make - up days in July. It was a pretty frustrating few days last week but hopefully next week is easier. Still two more weeks until our scheduled Easter / Songkran holiday.

Huge amount of daily jumps now. Similar to how it started in Europe a few weeks ago. Got a feeling they need to impose a proper lockdown (this government have done it before) to avoid Thailand becoming like Italy or Spain very soon.

Impossible to control in a society like here. Most people buy all their food, drinks etc outside each day.

Shocking press release from this charlatan. Par for the course from the NNT.
He doesn't state in anyway how they plan to help / take care of the ordinary citizens who will be hugely affected by this and he also gives massively incorrect advice out such as, visit a doctor if they exhibit flu-like symptoms.
Apart from closing certain places they have done nothing to stop this and the numbers are going up day by day.
-
It seems Thailand has definitely shifted the masses' thinking into this being solely a white / western disease nowadays.
I guess they were probably told by Chinese overlords to not make them look too bad to the general Thai public, à la Anutin's recent outbursts.

No. We're in school and teaching online lessons to the students at home ????.
The last two days have been pretty torturous pre - recording lessons, doing live Google Meet video calls with the whole class in the morning and afternoon and then being inundated with messages like, 'Where is the Science lesson posted?' 'Can I have lunch now?' 'Is it time to do maths?' ????.

Let's get real, closing schools? where will the kids go? Playing with their mates on streets and vacant blocks. Or riding their parents'motorcycles (sans crash hats).
Thai schools are already shut for holidays. This news release is referring to international schools. I don't think parents dropping 500,000THB - 1,000,000THB per year on school fees are letting that happen.
The international school where I work in Bangkok will be doing remote / online learning from Wednesday. Students are expected to be following exactly the same timetable as they would throughout the school day and will have live lessons taught online. The only exceptions are PE and swimming. If the students aren't online at 8am and then submitting work throughout each day then that is treated as an absence and must be provided with a clear reason.
Tomorrow we will be going through everything with the students and then Wednesday it starts most likely until the end of the term in early April. The only issue I can foresee is how easy this is to implement for early years students. Thankfully I don't teach that age range.

This government has been spoon - fed so many possible easy wins over recent years such as this. If they had been seen to be doing something proactive against the crop burning (it isn't wildfires) they would win support.
However, these guys are such an incredible bunch of charlatans that even when they are given ample opportunities to help raise their profile they can't even do it.

Shouldn't they add -
NB: If you're convicted as an international class A drug smuggler in another country then that doesn't count and won't be used against you at all in Thailand no matter what position you hold.

Convinced this guy isn't all there. He must be bipolar.

And what happens to the people without smart phones / mobiles phones? Are they then sent home?
If I was arriving as soon as I had got my bags I would switch off roaming or change the SIM card.

Is this a real account?
He removed some of his social media accounts recently for posting wrong information. I wonder if this is from a fake account as it just seems so absurd.
If he has said this then it is utterly deplorable. Could you imagine a minister in a normal developed nation stating that all the Asians are the reason for the spread of this and should be avoided at all costs. It is almost Hitler esque.

Like before, another utterly embarrassing photo. The sort of thing you would expect to see when you're about to invade a country, not do a weekly immigration press conference.

Another bizarre story. If the man from Hong Kong left the country already then how do we know he is the one who infected them?

Every single thing that is army generated, including the ridiculous new constitution must go. Including Prayuth, and the entire army. They are a boil on the face of the nation.
Absolutely. The only big worry is how their establishment protects one key figure.
