How have you done a PGCEi without a BA or BSc? It is classed as a Level 7 qualification with MA elements so it seems very strange that you got on the course without one.

Strange. This was a well publicised news story from this time last year about Khao San Road. Yet this year they are powerless to stop it.
The annual festival known as the world’s biggest water fight will be a little smaller this year, as one of Bangkok’s famed tourist districts called off its celebrations to avoid clashing with preparations to crown Thailand’s new king.

Any official news story on this, or is it just someone's random post on the likes of Facebook?

Thailand needs to invest in education and create jobs in higher-income sectors
That goes against Thailand's deeply ingrained process of indoctrination. Generations of citizens left to just, 'know your place and shut up'.
There are many people to blame for this, but I know which establishment should take most of the blame.

the school my child goes, knows we will change
suddenly when school fee is paid for this semester, they came up, if you want a chance to study next year (no we don't) we - they told me child, not me- to pay NOW for next semester...
mhhhh... not stupid ... on their own crappy outdated facebook page states, semester 1 (for next year) only have to be paid in May
the class of 25 students my child is in, will have 8 students left ???? woehahahha
"international program" my <deleted>... teachers bored to tell stuck up students to be quiet ... management that let extravert bully type children to run the school as they please....
I am assuming you are referring to a Thai school that adopts some form of 'International Program'?
The sort of stuff you describe wouldn't go on at any 'real' international school.

What about some other International Schools like Bangkok Pattana, ISB, and NIST? Are they closing as well?
No. Harrow is the only one. We're open as usual just with more safety measures implemented.

The guy is a complete calamity. He is the sort of character you would see in a satirical comedy where literally everything he says and does is scripted to make him look like a fool.
It is utterly incredible he is a multi - millionaire and working for a 'government' in the 21st century. I would hazard a guess that had he been born somewhere in the west the man would be stacking shelves.

I was in Phuket the other weekend. At the airport, hotel, beach resorts and out drinking around Bangla were easily 80% or more white tourists. I was very surprised at seeing so many.
They seem to be keeping the tourism industry single - handedly going right now.

Tourists from Western high risk areas like Germany should show a clearance certificate from their local doctors and eventually a vaccination against seasonal flu to avoid quarantine in Thailand.
Haha. Can you imagine them showing a medical certificate in German to one of the IO at Suvarnabhumi?

I am sure his extra income that makes him a US$ multi - millionaire will see him through the month without his government salary ???? .

Thanks, Bobby.
If you're aiming to get into an international school just be prepared that many / most of the better schools won't accept it, and the ones that do, will generally offer a reduced salary with little to no benefits. My friend only gets a salary. No relocation allowance, housing allowance, free education for children, end of contract bonus or flights.
Although saying that, I did hear from another teacher here that someone they know managed to get into Wellington with a PGCEi on the full expat package.

I am assuming a month of his government salary is actually quite small? I seem to recall his wage as PM being reported at around 2M per year.

LOL tourists locked in 14 day quarantine just killed off any arrivals. Well done!
I agree, but how are locals or expats arriving here any different from tourists. It just seems such an odd request.

He finished it a few years ago and now works at low - mid level international school in Bangkok.

All returnees from these nations and territories must self-quarantine for 14 days, he said.
Impossible to control. What about the tourists arriving from these destinations? I guess that is fine.

His earlier news release was completely different to this. The man seems almost bipolar.

They all knew this day wasn't far off and have began to prepare for any uprising I think. Behind the scenes they are no doubt concerned. There is a real disdain towards not only the government, but much further up the pyramid now like never seen before.

Pretty rash decision. Maybe for him it makes sense, however his children could have really benefited from dual citizenship and a US passport in their future.

Once again the chumps running this place are trying their hardest to make it look like they're in a satirical comedy show.
