I am in process of applying for the AXA Sawasadee Return insurance, but there is a very small sentence which says that I confirm that I am NOT in Thailand at the moment. Anyone else noticed this, or has it all gone through for Thailand Pass successfully?

The AXA certificate clearly states that it is a single trip policy, and reports the date of starting of your trip and the ending.
I would not be worried about that notes that says that you are not in Thailand at the moment of the subscription, it is clearly intended to avoid that a person use it as a regular health insurance and not as a trip insurance.
And, most important, nobody will check it !

  2. Sorry, for me it is a serious problem and I do not appreciate your "quotation marks".

Of course I was  not talking about the mask while riding a motobike.

    Bye

How am I endangering anyone when just about everyone including myself is vaccinated.

A person very, very close to me is vaccinated but she has a cancer and yes, now I am a member of what you call "the Covid Cult".
For her and for the other people that could be immunocompromised or weak in health like her.

    COVID restrictions vary by province.

    Fly to Krabi, no problem.

Fly to Chiang Mai, no problem.

Fly to Chiang Rai, must be vaccinated and/or have Covid test. And quarantine.

And what about flying to Bangkok (from Phuket) ?

Is there any comprehensive website where to find the requirements for every province ?

Does your current health insurance contract cover only a specific list of illnesses and conditions?

I am already covered by a mutual fund that reimburses me a part of the expenses incurred, and already paid, by me.

This is ok for me, but in case of Covid I would prefer to have a separate, and complete, coverage.

  6. Does anybody know if there is a reasonable insurance policy that covers only covid-19 related treatments and that could be subscribed while here in Thailand ?
The policy subscribed to get the COE is intended only for inbound travelers and not for residents.

I am already covered for other problems, but not for Covid, and I would not like to buy one more complete health coverage.

  7. Me and my wife are at present in Thailand under a non-O retirement visa (90 days) obtained abroad.

I will go to the immigration for the permit of staying extension based on the letter of income that my Embassy is still issuing, and I suppose that I will get an additional year starting from the expiring date of my 90 days visa.

For my wife, that has no pension, we will ask a "dependent" extension based on my pension.

My question is : will the extension of permit for my wife start from the expiring of our 90 days visa or her one year permit will start the day when she will ask it ?

The logic would be to have the same expiring date, but I remember that, 4 or 5 years ago, in an identical situation, the Phuket immigration ( in the person of a very nervous and aggressive official) gave us two different expiring dates

  8. Every year I go to Siriroj Hospital for a check up package, and I am satisfied of this service.

In a couple of hours you can have a complete check of your health at a very convenient price, and you can add any analysis that you may consider helpful for your personal situation.

Similar packages are offered by Bangkok Hospital, check the hospital sites and find what you consider more convenient for you.

Try inserting the number of your passport or the number of your document, not the number given by them

The TAT Phuket office posted on their Facebook page that tourists who just finished their quarantine in ASQ in Bangkok and have a certificate stating no risk of Covid-19, can travel direct to Phuket without doing quarantine there. Call 1422 for more information #Thailand

I spoke also to the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (usually they do not answer the phone, I have been lucky.....) and they confirmed me that, going directly from ASQ to the airport, the additional quarantine in Phuket is not required  ????

  11. I personally roughly divide my time between Thailand and Italy.
For the moment I own two quite complicated houses, both indipendent buildings

Of course I need to have reliable persons in both countries to follow and keep my properties when I am abroad, and this is not at all cheap.

Depending on the fiscal rules of Thailand and of your country, and on the existence of a treaty against double impositions between the two countries, you may have advantages and disadvantages, it is up to you evaluate their weight in your personal situation, and take some decision about your status.

From hotel do telemedicine appointment with doctor from quick.md and get Fit-to-Fly emailed to me within one hour after consult on zoom/skype/whatever they use (I'll find out)... boom, halfway there.

FWIW quick.md claims to have never had a certificate denied at the airport, and are familiar and have dealt with Thailand issues.

Check well the FtF sent by email.

In some countries the Thai embassies request a hard copy of this certificate because they want that the doctor really visit the patient

    Qatar Airways Rome Office

Many thanks, but I had several conversations with this number, that is only a call center, and with some others Qatar telephone numbers (Privilege Club, central assistance in Doha, etc.)  but as I said the only real suggestion that I had is to go to the airport and ask them directly.

Unfortunately I live 500 km from Rome Airport.....

I assume your an Italian national from your name.

    The Thai Embassy, Milan, state;..........

Which is not the same as they are verbally stating.

The Covid test results are to be shown to the airline for boarding (not for the Visa), so if your unsure ring the airline at the airport and ask to speak to a check in supervisor for confirmation.

The fact that verbally they are saying different things is the reason why I am looking for a real experience done at the airport.

I had a  tough discussion (and strong complaint) with Qatar airways by email and at the phone : they did not give me a clear answer, they only say that they are following the Rome Embassy directions.

Moreover they do not give a number to call the check-in staff at the airport, and the number is not reported in any directory. Impossible to talk to them !!!!

Qatar call center even suggested me to go directly to the airport and ask them when they are boarding an other flight !!!!!!

......... All you need to know is what your embassy says ........

And my embassy says that, if the swab time is written on the certificate, this is the moment that should be no more than 72 hours before taking off.

This is the reason that I would appreciate to hear from somebody that had a direct experience with swab more than 72 hours in advance, but it seems that nobody answers........

We spoke a lot, on this forum, about this subject, but no one reported his real experience

  16. We have already discussed about ths matter: the official thai requirement in the enghlis translation says "certificate issued non more than 72 hours before", while some embassies say "test time non more that 72 hours before".
It seems impossible to have a clear answer from the airways companies,  the matter is on the hands of the staff that work at check-in counter and it is difficult to talk to them if not going directly to the airport.

So my question is : has anybody a direct experience with embarking with a certificate issued no more that 72 hours before the flight but reporting a swab time that is more than 72 hours before the flight ?

If yes, at which airport and with which company ?
