  1. Obama conducted a survey of the minerals during his tenure and concluded financially it wasn't worth extracting them.
  2. Yes, a million times more than in Russia or China
  3. Criticize Putin or his war in Russia and you're put in jail for years. Unlike the West. Vance talks nonsense.
  4. Zelensky told them the truth, the West did nothing since 2014 as Putin has broken agreement after agreement. He can't be trusted. That riled the running dogs of American imperialism who barked accordingly.
  5. Ii appreciate the benefits of UK residence, I was referring to the happiness factor. English people, and I'm one of them, like to moan ( blame the dreadful winter weather). In fact I think the weather has a lot to do with a level of happiness. In warm and tropical countries people can spend a lot of time outdoors, there's a happiness there imo, just being able to sit outside, enjoy nature, watch the world go by. But in cold climes, folks, especially the old, are trapped indoors, often leading to isolation and loneliness
  6. Yes, we need to be back in the EU., we're European .
  7. List of the 20th happiest countries in the world. 13 are in Europe, the EU or have close ties to the EU. Join the EU, you know it makes sense! Finland Denmark Iceland Sweden Israel Netherlands Norway Luxembourg Switzerland Australia New Zealand Costa Rica Kuwait Austria Canada Belgium Ireland Czechia Lithuania United Kingdom ( UK, surely some mistake, lol)
  8. Here are some of Trump's biggest lies since back in office: 1. Trump claimed condoms worth 100 million dollars had gone to Hamas. 2. Blaming Ukraine for starting the war, : 'You should never have started it.' 3. Trump claimed the US is the only country that has birthright citizenship. Dozens of countries have it. 4. Pardoning the Jan 6 rioters. He said the people he pardoned were 'actually assaulted by our government. They didn't assault.' 4. Trump linked the LA wildfires to California's decision to use some of its water to protect a fish species. Nothing to do with each other. Then after ordering the release of billions of gallons of water from Central Valley reservoirs for no good reason, Trump said the water was going to LA- no it didn't. 5. The 2020 election was rigged. 6 Trump claimed Canada wants to be the 51st state- er, no. 7. Trump blamed Biden for diversity programmes causing the January airplane crash. 8. Trump claims countries he slaps tariffs on 'are charged'. No, it's US consumers who are charged. 9. In his inaugural address he said that China is operating the Panama canal. It isn't. 10. Trump claimed he won the youth vote by 36 points. However, exit polls show he lost the youth vote.
  9. Donald is an attention seeker, he loves scrutiny: ' Look at me! Listen to me!' Unfortunately he's not so good at accepting he talks nonsense and lies half the time. The sign of a true narcissist.
  10. lol, I was thinking along the same lines this morning after reading Purdey's comment, posted earlier: By the end of his first term, Trump had accumulated 30,573 untruths during his presidency — averaging about 21 erroneous claims a day. So many lies, so many falsehoods, the man is clearly living in a world of make-believe. Unfortunately he's been allowed to get away with it up till now. But can he live in this alternative universe for another four years even with no one in the GOP daring to tell him he's not wearing any clothes?
  11. On Tuesday Trump proposed a programme to let wealthy foreigners pay $5 million for US citizenship. There is already the EB-5 visas route which let foreign investors who create jobs in the United States apply for residency. However, Trump wants little if any restrictions on who can pay the $5 million to get "Gold Card" citizenship. Asked whether Russian oligarchs could qualify, he said, "Yeah, possibly. Hey. I know some Russian oligarchs that are very nice people." 'USA is now QVC': Trump mocked as he floats having foreigners pay $5M for citizenship To paraphrase (slightly) : ''From his beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; his blue eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. “Keep, ancient lands, your storied poor!” cries he With silent lips. “Give me your mafia, your rich, Dodgy dealers and money launderers, yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, no questions asked, direct to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
  12. Three judges have consecutively issued rulings against Trump on major executive actions, CNN reported Tuesday. 1. US District Judge Amir Ali's new ruling rejected Rubio's argument their suspension was legitimate and again demanded the payments move forward for foreign aid through USAID. 2. U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan issued a preliminary injunction against the Trump administration's pause on federal funding and grants, suspending the freeze indefinitely. To quote Alikhan “Defendants either wanted to pause up to $3 trillion in federal spending practically overnight, or they expected each federal agency to review every single one of its grants, loans, and funds for compliance in less than twenty-four hours. The breadth of that command is almost unfathomable.” 3. U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead, blocked Trump's moves to freeze refugee resettlement in the United States, stating Trump's “actions amount to an effective nullification of congressional will in establishing the nation’s refugee admissions program''.
  13. You don't know what you're doing, muppets. Confusion around President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s layoffs caused chaos for government workers Monday, CNN reported. Timeline: 1. Over the weekend, workers received an email instructing them to detail what they had done the past week or risk losing their jobs. 2. Some agency officials told workers to disregard the instructions. 3. Trump said workers who did not respond would be “sort of semi-fired” or “fired”. 4. However Trump's administration’s Office of Personnel Management said that workers would actually not be fired for ignoring the email. “Our chief said it was mandatory. Then OPM said it became voluntary. Then I guess Trump just told us it was mandatory again,” a worker at the Department of Veterans Affairs told CNN. “No one knows who is in charge and who to listen to.”
  14. Was that The White House poll in the headline, lol? "Trump Approval Rating Falls, Could Collapse Over Inflation" https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/trump-approval-rating-polls-inflation.html
  15. Look at this photo. This man is not normal. Autistic, on the spectrum, drunk with illegitimate power? What is it?
  16. Macron has proposed jet fighters armed with nuclear weapons could be posted to Germany. Macron offers nuclear shield to Europe after Trump meeting
  17. The warmonger is Putin, no one else. Ukraine hasn't lost.
  18. They've had the Russian forces and military equipment seriously depleted by the Ukrainians with no American voices lost. Trump should be thanking Zelensky.
  19. Fine. When the US is next attacked as in 9/11, Europe can shrug it off, it's just an American war.
  20. Wait and see what any peace plan proposes.
  21. It should be the US and Europe.
