  2. Thaksin'a idea of important legislation is legalise casinos, political control of the central bank and anything that benefits his family and associates. He has no interest in genuine reform of the education system, military and civil service. He realised way back before his exile that if he could win enough upcountry provinces with populist policies, he would have enough votes to form a government and could ignore the cities, middle class and more educated populace. In the past when he was PM, Thailand was sometimes called a police state because he controlled so much of the media. Newspapers that criticized him were starved of state advertising, many, many journalists were sued, he used his wealth to persecute any opposition. He is an authoritarian who has no genuine interest in Thailand becoming a more meritocratic, what you know rather than who you know, society,

  5. 'You're losing': Onlookers blast 'dumb' Trump as he officially 'launches a trade war' Various comments on Trump's move. Economic policy expert Brian Riedl said, "When the international community wants to hammer an enemy's economy, it isolates that economy by imposing a trade embargo. Only the U.S. government is dumb enough to impose a trade embargo on itself." Journalist S.V. Dáte said, "Donald Trump announcing here that he has increased taxes on Americans by $297 billion a year." Journalist Josh Marshall said, " I can only imagine what this does to industries which have been designed to work back and forth across US-CA-MEX border like the auto industry." Economist Marc Lévesque: "So, it's official. Trump has just violated the Canada-US-Mexico Free Trade agreement that he himself signed."

  8. Blimey, Trump scraped in with 51% of the vote and you're calling that a definition of an American?
  9. Do you really think Thailand is a democratic country?
  10. Tell me how many applicants suffering from the disabilities you mention have been actually hired to be air traffic controllers? And why haven't there been countless accidents as blind and deaf air traffic controllers miss planes? lol
  11. Look, try and get it into your head, they may try to recruit from a wider base but no-one is going to pass the stringent tests to be an air traffic controller unless they can actually do the job. Now if they said, 'dwarfs, one armed lesbians, blind blacks, apply now for jobs as air traffic controllers, and it doesn't matter that you can't do the job, will accept you anyhow,' then sure, everyone has the right to kick up a fuss. Show me some evidence they recruited and employed people not up to the job, and if they did, why didn't Trump dismiss them from 2016-2020? And why were there no accidents?
  12. If you believe the FAA employed people with intellectual disabilities to actually work as air traffic controllers, then: 1. Why has there been no civil airline accidents since 2008? duh! 2. Do you seriously believe the FAA would actually employ in control towers people with intellectual disabilities? Dumb and dumber.
  13. Here's the report: FAA Faces Controller Staffing Challenges as Air Traffic Operations Return to Pre-Pandemic Levels at Critical Facilities Not sure A continuous decline in air traffic controllers during Trump's first presidency. A national disgrace. Thank god Biden increased the numbers.
  14. We can't talk in depth about this but Hunz, do you and Bild, Thaksin supporters, accept the notion that Thaksin was allowed to come back to counter the rise of Move Forward? At the same time Army forces in Bangkok have become concentrated under a single authority, the same authority that has Thaksin on a string. How can this be progressive? It is concentrating power in very few hands.
  15. The family requested her name not be released. But the transgender pilot, Jo Ellis, posted a Facebook ' proof of life ' video on Friday to refute all the Maga idiots who wanted to pin all the blame on her for the crash. Idiots!
  16. A leopard doesn't change its spots. Domination- once in the mobile phone sector, and then in politics. Thaksin's modus operandi, the only way he knows how to play.
