Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: ‘Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘pounding’ Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED. ‘To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late.’ Donald Trump threatens new sanctions on Russia after latest missile onslaught

The Ukrainians want national sovereignty, freedom and the opportunity to join the EU. Not be under Russian subjugation. The same aspirations as all the other Eastern European countries once suppressed under the Iron Curtain. And Putin's scared the Russians will want the same freedoms.

Leaders of 26 out of 27 European Union member states approved a declaration supporting Ukraine at the summit in Brussels on March 6. Only Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán refused to vote for this decision, according to Radio Svoboda. The declaration mentions support for the potential deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine under the framework of the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), through which the European Union participates in peacekeeping operations. Orbán's refusal to vote for the declaration means that it will not be included in the official conclusions of the EU summit but rather will be placed in the annexes to those conclusions, "strongly supported by 26 member states." Regarding rearmament, all 27 EU members agreed on the European rearmament plan recently presented involving mobilizing 800 billion euros and includes financing of 150 billion euros for defence purposes. Don't forget EU to use those frozen Russian sovereign assets, £170 billion worth, held in European jurisdiction. Only one country out of 27 did not agree to declaration in support of Ukraine at EU summit

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has suggested extending NATO's Article 5 collective security protections to Ukraine without granting the country full membership in the Alliance. 'A just peace requires clear security guarantees," Meloni stated, saying these guarantees must be based on NATO, as it is the only serious means of ensuring security. Sending unspecified military contingents, whether British or otherwise, would be complex, and possibly the least effective solution. Italian PM proposes extending NATO's Article 5 security umbrella to Ukraine

Putin might not want the war in Ukraine to end because he is “afraid” of Russian veterans. Experts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said the Kremlin is concerned about a sudden influx of troops returning home. The report said Russian officials see the demobilisation of Russian veterans - around 700,000 of them - “as a potential threat'. Putin himself has portrayed his image as the only person who can keep Russians secure. The spectre of thousands of convicted murderers and veterans with PTSD roaming Russia committing mayhem hopefully gives the Russian murderer sleepless nights. Putin's 'reluctance to demobilise' could cause downfall and be rapid end to Ukraine war

Gotta find someone else to blame when things go pear-shaped....... Trump singled out Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his joint session speech on Tuesday, March 4, as the person "to blame if anything goes wrong" with America's attempts to regain ownership of the Panama Canal. Social media was flooded with critics ridiculing the president for throwing Rubio "under the bus" and mocking the former Florida senator for looking like a deer in the headlights during the speech. Some of the many lies in Trump's speech last night. 1. Trump proclaimed that he won the 2024 election with "a mandate like has not been seen in many decades." No- Trump won the popular vote by just a 1.48% margin, while Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama each had margins of victory of 4.45% and 7.27%, respectively. 2. Trump falsely asserted there was widespread fraud in the Social Security Administration (SSA), arguing that people well over 100 years old were receiving benefits. No they don't. 3. Trump said Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. No- The Trump administration has argued in federal court that Musk does not lead DOGE. This may result in legal problems down the road.

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict

British MPs said they saw acts of “intimidation” from Israeli settlers during their visits to the West Bank. Father of the House Sir Edward Leigh said “The moment we turned up, two young settlers, I can only describe them as punks, turned up with submachine guns in a clear act of intimidation,” while Labour MP Uma Kumaran said she had “guns pointed” in her face when in the West Bank with the Foreign Affairs Committee. Last month Israeli tanks moved into the occupied West Bank for the first time since 2002, amidst a backdrop of increasing settler violence against Palestinians. Sir Edward added: “Hundreds of Palestinian-owned olive trees have been torched, sawed down or destroyed.'' MPs report witnessing armed intimidation by Israeli settlers in West Bank -
