With the high interest due on these loans, workers often spend more than one year out of their five year contract, paying off the loan. Bit of music trivia, Dave Dee was a Wiltshire policeman before turning to music full time. In April 1960, he was one of the policemen who arrived at the scene of the taxi accident that killed Eddie Cochran and injured Gene Vincent. Some great bands in the early-mid 60s. Used to love singing along with this.
