  1. They will quote MF's intention to reform 112. It's inviolable in many of their minds
  2. It's been belting it down in upper Issan lately.
  3. He has been House Speaker before and has a reputation for fairness. Really PT are to blame for the tussle of HS. Both Cholanan, the leader and Phumtam, a senior figure, insisted prior the election that the party with the largest number of seats should have the HS position. But when PT didn't reach that goal, Cholanan changed his mind. Under whose orders?
  4. I'm repeating myself but I'd like the OP to consider: Can you talk to her parents, brothers or sisters about her behaviour?
  5. He announced he would be back this month, on his birthday, July 26 or around there. Jim posted confidently many times that Tony would be a free man in Thailand on that day but Jim's gone quiet lately. That could be because he's away in Paris, cleaning the gravestone of the great man on the anniversary of his death yesterday. How Tony could come home a free man? A pardon from the top perhaps, with an amnesty passed in Parliament by PT, Bhumjaithai, plus some other MPs persuaded with some pieces of silver. The trouble is PT haven't got the coveted House Speaker's post to set Parliamentary business and the watch collector can't seem to stay awake long enough to be PM.
  6. MF's candidate easily won the position of First Deputy Speaker.
  7. He's taken the job Before the election both Cholanan, the PT leader, and Phumtam, a senior figure in PT, insisted the House Speaker 's position must belong to the party with the most seats.
  8. Have you talked to her parents?
  9. MF supporters booing PT leaders when they arrived at MF HQ for negotiations yesterday
  10. An article well worth reading. Yesterday's heckling of PT leaders was utterly stupid
  11. Same here, Thai politics was in a slumber during the junta years but now it's woken up!
  12. Oh dear, h90. I thought you were well up on Thai politics. I remember your anti -Thaksin posts from way back and cheered them! Wan Noor is the leader of the southern muslim party, Pracharat, ( spelling maybe wrong), part of the proposed coalition. He has been House Speaker before
  13. Get the latest twist in the never ending saga! PT might propose Wan Noor as a compromise for House Speaker tomorrow.
  14. And PT have said repeatedly they are opposed to forming an alliance with the military backed parties which leaves them in bed with PT, but as described by Dr Chalanon, the nominal leader, it's an arranged marriage, forced on them by pro democracy voters, over 24 million. Plus some smaller parties. Really PT would like to join Bhumjaithai and Pravit, but ' ell, we promised the voters we wouldn't!'
  15. It wasn't about Pita. The rumour was about persuading MPs to vote for a watch keeper as PM.
  16. Anuthin was referring to monetary rewards to vote for a PM from the minority parties
  17. I think the 'they' in your fourth line refers to those backing the military parties, not MF
  18. MF may see it as the best deal they can get, Pit's fate rests with the senators, if they reject him then Settha or Pravit will be PM. I think PT will vote for their own tomorrow as House Speaker, the man with an unsavoury background, Suchart Tancharern.
  19. Nothing to do with it, lots of native speakers trip up over the word too.
  20. I don't know why so many people have problems spelling lose, losing and loser. They lost to MF for gawd's sake. They boasted how they would win by a landslide but they got.nearly four and a half million less votes than MF That is called losing. The dark horse, the underdog won and now the loser is smarting.
  21. Settha is new to politics, as such his opinion is worthless, as is the good doctor supposedly the leader of PT. The only opinion that counts in PT is Thaksin and he's desperate to return before he expires.
  22. Thaksin controlling his underlings from abroad. 'I've gotta come back, gotta come back. Vote for Pravit as PM!'
