  1. This place is on the Lamphun road near the mahidol road intersection. It sells used furniture. Here's the GPS: 18.759311,99.006908But I would first go to a new furniture store to get some idea about prices.

The Chiang Mai Community Church sends out a weekly newsletter with a classified section for household goods including furniture. here's a subscribe link: [email protected] It's usually send on thursday evening or friday morning.

An interesting place but i found the prices close to the same as new prices.

Prices are outrageous there. They wanted 6,000 THB for used doors.

    Interesting. Thanks for the info.

  2. as usual not enough information in the post to even assume it is mr. Mark's remains

    they found

details as from when is the ketter ?

    how old are the bones

but i'll leave it to the TV sherlocks to fit the puzzel together

Yup, by the end of the day they will probably be saying that his wife wrote the letter and killed him.

fall of the balcony ? ate the wrong mushrooms / berry's who knows

i guess it will take some time for a body to decompose that only bone remain

so al the time the police and rescue were searching ??

or could it be .... Jimmy Hoffa ??

    Lots of snakes out there.

  3. Height of building was not the problem. Occupancy permit was issued and about 6-8 units were sold and occupied. Lily abandoned it during the 97 crash as she had used US dollars for the loan rather than thai baht, like a lot of the developers at the time did.  Korean with a Thai partner bought it from BAM a few years ago, the Korean was doing the financing but then the Korean came to realize his Thai partners were taking him for a ride. He stopped financing it.

    That somehow sounds familiar.

  4. The qualifications for the annual extension based on retirement that you speak of include being over age 50 but of course there are also financial requirements:

    1. 800K in Thai bank seasoned for two months before first extension

    OR

    2. 65K monthly income shown by an embassy letter

    OR

    3. A combination of above totaling at least 800K annualized (no seasoning needed for this option)

Do I need police record and health certificate for annual extension ?

Thanks Jingthing, financial requirements are all sorted

  6. You can do an extension during the last 30 days of any of your 90 day entries.

You do not have to wait for your visa to expire.

After getting extension you will just do 90 day reports to immigration.

After getting extension you need to get a re-entry permit if you wish to travel.

Thanks ubonjoe, that is exactly what I wanted to know. Appreciated.

    One more question please:

..........After getting extension you will just do 90 day reports to immigration.

Do I have the option of a border run or the 90 day reporting ??

    Cheers

  7. Hi there,

It could well be that my questions have been discussed here already. I haven't found the right answers yet.

I'm on a Non Imm O visa, 1 year, multiple entry on grounds of being over 50 years old.

    1. Can I get a yearly extension at local immigration when/ before the visa expires ?

    2. Do I need border runs, or can I report my adress every 90 days ?

    3. If I can get a yearly extension, still need border runs, or (in the 2nd year) possible to report to immigration ?

    Thanks for your help
