Worst Joke Ever 2024

Must be a Titfer (Cockney rhyming slang) -
Well, this is what the link says. 'Eatery operators and staff must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination. If anyone had been infected, they must have recovered 1-3 months ago and conduct weekly antigen tests. Customers must have been fully vaccinated. If they had been infected, their recovery must be within 1-3 months ago or their antigen tests must return negative within the past week. (TNA)' Seems pretty clear that it applies to staff and customers.

So, according to the link given in the OP, customers must be fully vaccinated? I thought that this requirement had been abandoned, temporarily at least, as the vaccination rate is currently very low so hardly anyone would be able to 'eat in'. Whether or not the requirement extends to malls in general - not just restaurants in malls - is unclear, to me at least,

I just received an SMS from BHP, saying that I have an appointment for a Pfizer jab tomorrow at Central Festival. This is probably from my registration with Intervac. No apparent way of responding to the message though, which is a bit worrying as it was said, previously, that a response is required within 24 hours. I shall turn up anyway and hope for the best.

Short on vaccines, Thailand seeks to borrow from Bhutan
doctormann replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Which address did you send your visa info to? The message that you received was auto-generated - it said - so that address is probably not the one to use. I ask because I am expecting a similar problem as I was unable to upload both passport and visa info when registering. -
This is hopeless - it's a lottery as to whether you can get registered! I was on the Intervac site more or less continuously from early this morning and still didn't manage to get a slot! Would it not make far more sense to allow eligible people to register anyway and then issue appointments as and when vaccine becomes available? What do we do now? Live in hope of some more AZ arriving, hopefully being informed of this and then trying to get registered next time? It will likely be the exact same scenario again!

Yes, thanks, I eventually realized that. In fact, the ThaiElectric.com site just gives a splash page and goes nowhere!
-
Thanks, Sometimewoodworker, those look correct so I'll buy some from ThaiElectric. I didn't know about that site - looks useful.

No idea - Crossy will know.

A Safe-T-Cut works by detecting an imbalance between the live and neutral wires. No earth required, unlike an earth leakage detector, which does need one.
-
Nope, not in my house and not in most of the older properties here. I believe that new builds are supposed to have an earth. We do have a Safe-T-Cut though. I am just looking to replace a couple of sockets that are the worse for wear.

I'm looking for 2-pin DIN power outlets. like these: Lazada only seems to have the rail-mounted type whereas mine are the clip-in type, common to outlets and switches here. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? I really don't want to go into town at the moment so I'm looking for an online source. Any suggestions?

Probably a sh*g - and yes, that is a real bird!
