I already answered this question in a different thread: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/836501-is-it-really-better-to-learn-thai-rather-than-staying-clueless/page-2

OK. Thanks.
Sad to say I'm not really THAT adventurous.
My tastes are more about diversity of flavors and spices, including spicing extremes.
To personalize this a little more, are there any Ethiopian places running right now in Bangkok and if so, which one(s) are worth going to?
Spicing extreme? Go to a Coco Ichibanyan restaurant, located in almost all major shopping centers. Pick your curry dish of choice and tell them you'd like it at level 6. My friends and I have done several dares, the highest level we got was 4.

Samong moo (pig brains)
It's actually quite an experience. Especially the texture of brains, it's one of the softest foods I've eaten, softer than Tofu, close to a runny egg. As for the taste: It tastes like, well... pork. 70thb per bowl, didn't get sick afterwards.

Soup Mangkorn (dragon soup)
Found in the food court at MBK, it's a typical noodle soup except instead of loo chin (meatballs) they use Ox penis. The difference between meatballs and penis is hardly noticeable.
I recommend trying these two if you're a culinary adventurer. Personally I have a whole folder with photos of me eating stuff. So far I've eaten:
Baby chickens, baby clams, bird's nest, black chicken, blood, cat food, chicken, chicken feet, crocodile, deer, dog food, duck, duck tongue, ears, eel, fish, fish intestines, fish maw, frog, guinea pig, heart, horse, insects, jelly fish, kidneys, live oysters, maggots, mussels, octopus, ostrich, penis, pig brains, pig feet, pigeon, pork intestines, quail, rabbit, rotten beans, scallops, scorpion, sea cucumber, shark fin, sheep, snails, spider, spoon worms, squid, squirrel, stingray, tongue, turkey, turtle, and wild boar.
Personally... the best food is still chicken.

Well... Looks like I'm the only one on TVF who daily drinks tap water from my apartment. Been doing so for 3 years. No recognizable link to being sick. I pour it into water bottles and cool them in the fridge.

I don't fear Death.
I fear dying, as it can sometimes be a slow and painful process.

Everybody lies. Why should she be an exception?

Never seen anybody get hit (yet), but what really disturbs me is the fact that it's 100% legal!!! for motorbikes to use the sidewalk. The police in front of Benjaksiri park do this regularly, right up there with Pizza deliveries. Each time I walk from Suk 22 to Suk 26 I'm taking a risk.

I love it when people concern themselves with things are are never going to affect them.
There's nothing wrong with people coming on here and giving their opinions on things that don't affect them.
It is these people who help make Thaivisa the forum it is.
Opinions about everything from everybody, bring it on.
You do know what people say about opinions, right?

2 people encounter a bear.
The first guy gets on his knees and starts to pray.
The second guy gets on his knees and starts tying his shoes.
"What are doing?" asks the first guy "You know you can't outrun a bear!"
The second guy says "I only need to outrun you."

It`s from the 2013 movie, Only God Forgives.
Type; Only God Forgives 2013, into Google search and all will be revealed.
As a symbol of some kind, it means nothing.
Oh boy, after googling it I actually have seen that crappy movie. I must have fallen asleep while watching it since I still can't recall seeing that symbol.
Dogs are a real problem in thailand

Most Thai's don't really take care of their dogs that much. They go to Chatuchak, pick an individual they think is cute, pay 30k, then take them home and raise them like an object.
They don't take them out for walks, they feed them their left overs, like spaghetti, many rice dishes, even pizza. They also never bother about hygiene.
