  1. It has changed, today you need only 3 shareholders, but they (Thai shareholders) need to show that they have funds to buy their shares. Old companies with proxy-shareholders were given a (quite long) time frame to get everything in order with real shareholders.
  2. 2 million baht paid in company capital for the first foreigner's work permit plus 4 Thai employees. To my knowledge it used to be 1 million baht extra company capital plus 4 Thai employees for each additional foreigner's work permit, but might be that it's now 2 million baht extra capital for each additional work permit. Your minimum 51 % Thai shareholder(s) might need to show source of funds for their shares, and be aware that registered company capital might need to be paid in full. The authorities are more strict now, it's not easy anymore to register proxy shareholders that don't have funds.
  3. To my knowledge, it's normal income tax, if now owned by a company limited.
  4. 22nd August +10 on Samui... "Private Villa Party" must be this one...
  5. For more accurate comparison the percentage calculation might need a factor with how many percent of the total population that have been vaccinated with AZ, i.e. was that rate more than 7 percent almost a month ago, i.e. two weeks before people got ill and some further time, perhaps a week or two more, before they died...????
  6. That news will make TAT happy, now they are short of less rooms for their predicted tourist arrivals...????????
  7. Sh*t happens, seems like I missed an invitation to a party...???? - on the other hand, mai pen rai, it was illegal and with drugs, so not at all my ballgame, I would have been in the wrong place at the wrong time...???? - and hi-so parties are also often little too boring for me...???? Perhaps they accidentally got an invitation...
  8. Some airlines requires proof of credit card upon check-in - however, you might not be asked for it - if you cannot show the credit card used to pay for the ticket, you might not be allowed to check-in (it probably don't apply to self-check-in on machines...????). You can find details with potential airlines for your flight, or on the booking platforms.
  9. Probably, if the doctor's paperwork is correct - do we know if the doctor perhaps originally is educated in US or Canada? - it might also be that "work" means attending a medical conference, which for example about the potential from mixed Covid-vaccinations...????
  10. Who can legally reduce the account, if not in a shared name, or someone with some kind of authorized power from the account owner? Authorities will be alerted about death of a foreigner, and so will the foreigner's home country embassy. Bank accounts are recorded with passport number and/or Thai ID-number, so easy to find out.
  11. Bangkok Airways resumes domestic flights from Phuket August 25th, but what might happen in October is impossible to say now. The pinned thread about transport to and from the islands is better for you to ask questions and find answers, this one is about what's happening on Samui.

  13. I tried to be modest, not to defamate Bangkok Hospital, I think the message is understood...????
  14. I've had an odd ISP in the beginning of my time in LOS, they used cables from (now closed) TT&T. If me, I would choose a majord ISP like the one you are happy with, i.e True, or 3BB or TOT; I use the latter and am happy, 3BB was not good service in my area, but others have excellent experience with them. I pay 590 baht a month +vat for 250/250 Mbit fiber with TOT, including router, no set-up fees where I live.
  15. To my knowledge banks will freeze accounts upon death until the estate is settled. Best advice is always to make two last wills, one covering assets in one's home country - i.e. UK in your case - following the home country's law, and nother last will in Thailand covering assets here, and following Thai law. Write the conditions for the retirement deposit in the Thai will. Making a Thai will can be a very simple procedure, and verified at the local "amphor" district office. You can read about it in the book Thai Law for Foreigners, or search in ASEAN Now forum, there are several threads here with information about making a Thai last will.
  16. Opinion only: I don't think that any country will make vaccination mandatory, including Thailand - some people cannot be vaccinated due to health issues - but non vaccinated people might need to quarantine when travelling between countries or regions, i.e. for example US and EU could each be considered as a region, so travelling within US or EU wont need vaccination or quarantine. Also, some countries might make boble-agreements due to low number of infections, and thereby no quarantine needed for non vaccinated inhabitants.
  17. I also use her, and can recommend her (Google Street View HERE). Earlier I used the dental clinic at Bangkok Hospital - and they do implants - highly qualified dentists there, but little more expensive than Family Dental Care...???? PS: I still come monthly in Bangkok Hospital's dental clinic, as we use it for my daughter's and girlfriend's teeth corrections.
  18. From the article... “I believe that almost everyone, regardless of which vaccination brand they received, would be infected sooner or later due to new research on the Delta variant and the fact that vaccination will not fully prevent spread or transmission. We cannot live in a state of fear forever. We have to learn to live with it and do not discriminate against those who have already been recovered. They deserve to live like everyone else. We should be reminded to always have mercy on your fellow human beings,” he concluded [doctor, Manoon Leechawengwongs]. I read in my home country's news today that in Israel - which was the first country with a high vaccination rate of the population, most already in January and February, but today only 63 percent are fully vaccinated with two doses Pfizer/BioNTech - the vaccine is rapidly loosing it's effect. Monday (August 15th) Israel registered 8,698 new Covid-cases out of a population of 9 million. Compared to Thailand's population of 70 million that would relative equals 67,000 new daily cases. Israel is now giving people over 50 years a third jab as booster; it's been mentioned before that a booster might be necessary. Anyway, it seems like vaccine - even Chinese made Sinovac* - protects against severe cases and deaths, but it also shows the fact that we are going to live with Covid-19, at least for a while. A good question is then if all the continuing lockdowns are worth its costs...???? - - - - - *) A comment to that even Sinovac-vaccine gives protection. On the island Samui, where I live, a late night birthday party in pub - yes, it should not have been possible at all - resulted in a cluster of Covid cases, which seems to originate from one single lady that arrived from Bangkok, and had been partying on the island. Little more than 70 percent of the island's population had got one jab, and almost 50 percent so-called "fully vaccinated" with two jabs. Those that had two jabs were vaccinated with Sinovac, whilst the one-jabbers are AZ, mainly elder people and foreigners. The so-called "Black Club cluster" from the pub resulted in so far 171 Covid-cases, and at the same time there also was a smaller cluster from another place - the same lady had been visiting - but of all vaccinated with either 1 dose AZ og two doses Sinovac, nobody got severe symptoms... Status published 15th August... Covid-19 status 14th August... Note: The mentioned Hua Thanon cluster is another, which might have be caused by migrant workers.
  19. TAT will probably be sad to learn about The Federation of Thai Industries' prediction, it does not at all fit into their calculations...????
  20. North, Maenam Beach, which is the one on the photo...????
