This is all a big incentive not to contribute to global warming by using Vista.
I will stick to my plan and upgrade to 2000 next year.

As you have a house in the northeast I suggest you do a post to the Isaan forum. Lost of helpful people up here.

You can if you wish download the forms from the DWP web site.
Read and complete the form carefully to show you wish to apply for a dependent (your wife).
You will be sent more info and they will need an original copy of your marriage certificate and birth certificate. My Thai wife does not have one so I sent a certified (by a civil servant etc) copy house registration and identity card all of which they they take a few weeks to translate into Thai. Send by registered mail.
You will be sent an Outcome Decision of your pension application. Make sure that this shows you are married.
The nationality of your wife is not important and the DWP will get her an NI number.
I am 73 and my wife is 53. My problem is that I did not get an outcome decision and only found out at the beginning of last year that DWP had been sending me a single pension. This stupidity has been rising up and up and I am now waiting for the Commission's decision. Might have to go to the Ombudsman to get 7 years of back pay!!
Good luck, but do visit the DWP web site.

Used to drink Gold Blend for years. Not seen it in the country since I retired five years ago. Is it still available?
Nescafe Gold is no good.

Laughing at other people's/animals' misfortunes is yet another example of the lack of moral principles here. I am sure that this is due to reliance on making merit instead of Buddhist teachings. In particular the need to respect ALL life.

I just plug my thai plugs into the back of one of those uk shaver plugs that have two holes in the back. so can use them in either country.
I used to do that until the 1 amp fuse in the shaver plug instantly blew when I plugged it in!
Had the same problem. A lot of appliances (laptop, external DVD drive etc) will not work with a 1 amp fuse in a shaver plug. You'll need a 13 amp fuse. Maplin Electronics sell them and the adaptors when you are back in the UK. They are about 3 Pounds odd. You can get the non-fused adaptors in Panthip for about 30THB each before you go back though.
No, you will not need a 13 amp fuse unless you are running a big electric heater.
A 5 amp fuse is plenty for most appliances up to 100 watts.

Money is money. My reduced state pension (reduced because I have been here 20 years) is a bit more than my monthly salary was while working for a Thai university.
In North Bangkok 6 years ago we could live on Baht 35,000/month no problem.

One of the best things about Thailand is Buddhism.
Agreed. It just unfortunate that most Thais are not practising Buddhists.

So the OP is stealing a movie (i.e. not paying for it) and complaining that it takes too long to download. A little petty if you ask me.
Mod's generally don't allow discussion of illegal activities on this forum, yet when it comes to posts about downloading copyrighted music and movies from BT, they turn a blind eye.
To lessen your ignorance I should point out that Angel and the Bad Man is public domain. See www.archive.org

Damluat is idiot English for ตำรวจ. How about Tamruat?

The cheque will have to be returned to the US for clearing. Allow, say, a month. This will all cost money so it's hardly worth it for less than $100.
If this is going to happen regularly open an account with the Bangkok Bank and get the money paid into their New York Branch for transfer here. no problem.
The last thing you want is a foreign cheque arriving here.

On the front of the cover you put the title and the author. On the spine you do the same but smaller and parhaps the publisher at the bottom.
Your need to give the typesetter a piece of paper so he spells it all correctly.
Do you mean a cover for a paperback?

Yes, but look around a bit - unless you suddenly have some ethical problems.

Except here the blind lead the blind.
Anyone ever seen a master craftsman here? Uncrafty master technicians seem quite common!

I think you've no choice but use a CD for repair or new installation!
Look in your PM
Right! Go and buy a new Office CD from the nearest computer shop. They are bound top have a cheap copy.

Only thing is that speed has been very slow for two months now - especially after 8 am.
Unfortunately there is no competition, no alternative.
TOT cannot maintain the phones properly and Ipstar is a bit modern.
What we want is more manual telephone exchanges and forget the automatic rubbish.
-
Right. Done Kab Choeng for 6 years now. No ptoblem. Very friendly.
Turn right to the District offices just before you get to the Bangkok Bank.

And if you like some old stuff, there are some really good public domain films amongst other rubbish at www.archive.org
The old ones are the best!!

Thailand set to join Malacca patrolsThailand was ready to join the international marine patrol mission to ensure sealane security in the Straits of Malacca, according to Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont.
Gen. Surayud Chulanont told the visiting Singapore Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean that Thailand and Singapore have had strong and close relations formany years and that the country is prepared to be part of the joint naval patrols to secure the Straits of Malacca from international piracy.

Great! A wonderful opportunity to use their white elephant aircraft carrier - if it still floats.

Using PingPlotter to trace to TV Singapore the average time is 51 ms (!) on True Public and on TRUE leased Line as well!
15 hops to SG!
Truly amazing!
Surin via TOT Ipstar average 1051 ms. Speakeasy only 999 ms!

Unfortunately the idiot coin designers here forget that coins should be able to be identified by feel and not by only by sight so that blind people can use them with confidence.
Yet another example of Thais seeming not to be capable of respecting all life (as required by Lord Buddha).

My IPstar terminal has never been a problem. Ambient temperature is usually in the low 30s.
Big problem is speed. Just think of the extra foreign bandwidth TOT would need to support those terminals.
It can't manage to get my 256/128 "service" up to speed.

I read that she went AWOL for her visit to London. If this is the case she should be disciplined. Otherwise I see no reason for anybody to tell their CO where they are going on leave. I bet the CO doesn't tell his CO where he is going to spend his leave.
The book (paper back NOT a pocket book) is nothing to do with the army.
Thais like making problems and clearly her CO had not got enough work to do, After all Thailand has 10,000 generals for an army the same size as the UKs which has 1,000 generals.
Hope she makes a lot of money.
