Just mix it yourself, that's what i do, two thirds Arabica, 1 third Vietnam, it's all trial and error

seeing as you already mix your own, have you considered making a change from the 2/3 Arabica medium to 1/3 Arabica medium & 1/3 Arabica dark together with your 1/3 Robusta (preferably dark roast). An awesome flavour as a result of this blend.

  2. I grind my own beans and do NOT buy off the shelf from a supermarket as you don't know how long the beans have been sitting there, even more so if imported beans. I use Thai roasted beans (Doi Chang grown) which I buy from my local coffee shop as I know the beans he has have a high turnover rate which means they will be reasonably fresh for grinding. I blend my beans as follows 1/3 Arabica medium roast, 1/3 Arabica dark roast and 1/3 Robusta dark roast.

  3. I guess it depends on why you need one. I have one and use it regularly instead of having to produce either my passport or driver's license as ID. I also only pay Thai prices at National Parks etc or get free entry for being over the age of 60 once they see the card.  I also only have to pay Thai rates for golf upon production of my pink ID card. On one occasion I had to visit the hospital and they were about to hit me with the foreigner prices but when I produced the pink ID card I only got charged the same rate as Thais. So those that say it is useless  can continue to undervalue the card, but I find it to be quite beneficial.

Aye, I had read "Kirati noted that, on several occasions, golfers have breached restrictions by driving golf carts across the taxi ways, despite the warning signals."

Not entirely correct. It's impossible to drive a cart onto the taxi ways beside the golf course as there are water filled canals (see pic #1), too deep and too steep for a golf cart to drive through, bordering both sides of the golf course. There is one section where the taxi way dissects the course (see pic #2, with traffic light) so planes can move from one runway to the other, but anyone that is silly enough to walk or drive a cart on there while a plane is taxiing  deserves to suffer the consequences.

Is this a joke? They allowed a golf course between two runways? Like inside the perimeter of the airport?

I'd Google it but I just cant Google anymore "stupid" today.

You're the joke. If you had googled Kantarat Golf Course you would find that yes, it is between the 2 runways BUT even the worst possible shanked golf shot will not reach the runway. Anybody who has not played golf on this course has no right to comment as they will be talking out of their backsides. I've played Kantarat many times and have never seen anybody hit a golf shot that even remotely have an impact on airport safety.

The RTAF should be telling AOT to go take a running jump, the golf course stays put.

It's an insane policy. Getting an Australian pension overseas is also insane. Apart from this once again this AI article lacks any editing demonstated in the subheading.

It would seem all foreigners no matter what nationality are "beginning to feel a financial strain due to the UK government's pension freeze policy."

why do you think getting a n Australian pension overseas is also insane?  As long as you meet the requirements for portability you can easily have your aussie govt pension paid directly to your overseas bank account. Admittedly one of the supplements drops off and the other supplement is the base rate only AND the actual pension rate is paid at full value. I've been receiving my aussie aged pension directly to my Thai bank account for the past 10 years and also receive the pension increases every March & September. So I realy don't understand why you think it's insane.

It's possible to come to Thailand one time a year and stay for 6 months? Come with 30 days free visa exemption, then extend 30 days at immigration and start to do a few border run with extension at immigration. So 180 days total! Is there anyone who has done this often?

As others have stated it is doable. However, don't forget that once you've been in Thailand for 180 days or more in a calendar year you become a Thai tax resident and will need to submit Thai tax returns and pay tax on any funds you bring into Thailand after Jan 1 2024 that are not savings, and that is dependent on whether your home country has a Dual Tax Agreement with Thailand. So you really need to take that into consideration as well.

  8. When the stamps were transferred to my new passport I enquired as to whether I would need to bring my old passport when doing my next extension. Was told not necessary.

Just did my 1st extension using my new passport 2 weeks ago, and had my old passport with me just in case. No request for my old passport was made.

So must be another one of those ridiculous things that different Imm offices/officers decide.

The limit of 2 per calendar year refers to land and sea.

    No stated limit via air.

Sorry DrJack but your answer re arrival by air is incorrect. There is a limit of 6 times per year when arriving by air. "Those who arrive at the airport without a prior visa will continue to receive a 30-day stamp up to 6 times per calendar year."

Before you start saying the link is NOT the Thai Embassy, I'm aware of that, but it's been posted to support my post correcting your comment re "no stated limit via air".

I just want to know if it is legal to clean my house or not!

I have been told today that I can’t do it without a work permit.

    regards,

    bob.

Technically the juristic girl is correct. I knew a farang several years ago who was painting the boundary fence to his property who was arrested and deported for working without a permit. Even after being able to prove to the police that it was his residence it made no difference. He was also given the taking work off a Thai explanation as well as the no work permit line.

Now I do know that he was not popular with the Thais in his neighborhood because of his superiority attitude towards them, and it's a certainty one of the locals reported him.

So I would suggest you be on your very best behavior instead of your what appears to be usual attitude towards Thais otherwise you might find yourself in the same position.

I would also agree with others on here that your post is just another one of your delusional troll posts.

How does that even relate, going abroad obviously does not create new TM30's, as it is not the same as when one travels domestic.

I can confirm that CM is rogue in this way, and they often want a fresh new TM30 again, if you also came there to extend. If I would fly abroad and come back, you are right, usually they are fine with the old one. The last time they wanted me to a new TM30 as well because I submitted myself without any end date, as it is our house. Then they wanted to see one with an end date (makes zero sense but whatever).

I don't know where you're getting your information. I've been using CM Imm Office since moving to CM province in 2016 from BKK and based on MY experience with CM and that of my 2 friends experience when they returned from overseas earlier this year, and the question I asked when I did my annual extension last week, CM do NOT require a new TM30 when you return to the same permanent address.  Also TM30 does not have provision for an end date on it. The same applies when you travel domestically. My TM30 is dated 2016, and I've travelled out of province domestically regularly since my TM30 was issued and NEVER been asked for a new one.

Apparently this used to be a CM requirement for both international & domestic travel, but one that I've never been asked to provide.

However, as I now have a new passport, hence a different passport number, I will get a new TM30 in August when I return from Vietnam so my current passport number is reflected on it, and that is the ONLY reason I will be doing so.
