I don't know what those frilly roof things are called, but apart from those, it looks like a prison to me and nothing like what I would expect a temple to look like!

Makes me think again about why China has 'allegedly' cracked down on the Rohingya. Maybe they are right after all.
China has refugee camps for Rohingya, but I wasn't aware of any cracking down on them. Maybe with so many problems relating to Islam, I missed that?
China have been persecuting Uighurs though. -

That acceptance should also include that it is not only acceptable but is also a right to display one's country's flag.
Very few people seem to object about people marching around carrying other countries' or movements' flags!Anybody that is offended by our national flag should feel quite free to leave the UK!

8 hours ago, Social Media said:“Which rights have been taken away from trans people?” Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, replied pointedly, “The right to be left alone by a rich bored bully!”
Yet us normal people seem to have lost the right to be left alone by these trans people in the media. Nobody deserves special rights because they think that they are abnormal!

Dokmai lived with her husband, her 78-year-old father, who suffers from hearing impairment, and her son, recently moved to her former husband's house due to her Covid-19 diagnosis. Remarkably, her 43-year-old husband, Thanawat Panyanam, was in Yasothon province assisting his mother with rice farming during the time of her death.
I wonder what was remarkable about her husband helping his Mother?

Maybe some people want to lock the doors for safety, ie against car-jackings etc.

This is discussed elsewhere in the forum and widely reported in the news.
That's good. So the low-cost housing will be solely for British citizens, and none will be allocated to illegal immigrants. Sorry, but I'll believe that when I see it.

If you have an accident with a motorcyclist who dies because of not wearing a helmet, it won't affect you?
I know that even if I was blameless, it would still affect me!-

Seems to me that they are gifting the UK to illegal immigrants without the British having a say!

9 hours ago, Social Media said:“continue waging your war for Allah and his messenger, don’t back down.”
Why don't they understand that if this is Allah's war, he could wipe out all Jews from the face of the earth with one swipe of his hand. He would not need mere humans to do his work for him. They should realise that the reason that the Israelis keep winning is because that is Allah's will, that is the only thing that can make sense.
Please note that I, personally, do not believe in the existence of any god. I am just trying to look at it from the perspective of those who believe in Allah.-

Devaraj had been involved in a heated argument with his mother the previous night, after which she abruptly disappeared.
If he was so worried about own mother, should have asked police for search. Instead of inhaling chemical

The son did not inhale chemical stuff; the Indian guy did.-

Who has 60 days to spend
on travel when you're 30, 40, 50 years old ? Scammers mostly, is my guess.
I know quite a few people that come out 2 or 3 times a year for extended periods, they have well-paying jobs and don't have to work the full year.

Don't get how renting it out at £800 a day makes it a good business idea , especially in the UK with the weather. In somewhere like Miami yes but UK 🤔
If rented it out once a week for 5 years then it's paid for , but that is almost impossible business numbers in UK I would say.
Then add depreciation in value of the car and who is going to pay top money to rent a old model car when others have the latest model to rent .
I am guessing that there are tax advantages as he may have used it as a private car when he wasn't renting it out. If it was a private car, he would get no tax allowances for it.

You've really never heard of them? Ramen noodles are nothing like Mama noodles. They are Japanese wheat noodles served in a broth with various toppings and usually some slow braised pork.It is a standalone dine in restaurant that is located around the perimeter of a PTT station - they often have lots of full restaurants. 300 baht is nothing extraordinary for ramen noodles in a restaurant. Either you are the cheapest guy around or you are being deliberately obtuse.
Here is the restaurant in question. Does 300 baht look out of place for a meal there?
I didn't say that I have never heard of them. I said that I didn't really know what they were. I see them referenced in stories such as when poor students survive on ramen noodles, Th's why I wondered if they were something like Mama noodles.
The place, as well as the food that you show photos of does not appeal to me at all, so no, I would not pay 300 Baht for a bowl of noodles.

I don't understand these agreements where they pay the suppliers to switch off. Do they charge consumers extra if they use less electricity than last month?

VAT is supposed to be a tax on luxury items.
I'd dispute that anything sold in a Ramen restaurant could be considered a 'luxury'.
I must admit that I don't know for sure what Ramen noodles are. I always assumed that they are cheap budget meals (for students etc.),
Are they something like Mama noodles?
Rama noodles served in a petrol station does sound luxurious though. 😉especially if they can charge 300 Baht for them!

Why would a passenger not choose the option of taking a toll road ? Quicker, shorter and therefore likely less expensive even after paying the toll fare. Anyone having a problem with the small money involved in this kind of issue should not be in Thailand in the first place. Sad, and rather pathetic
Who knows why the passenger did not want to go on the toll roads? Why do you care?
It is not compulsory to use the toll roads.
You don't know the reason why the passenger did not want to go by way of the toll roads; it may have nothing do with the cost!
If the passenger was Thai, you think that he shouldn't be in Thailand??? You think that if the passenger is not Thai, they should be forced to use particular roads even if against their will???-
