I am never totally sure about that as they may count the due date as the 1st of the 7. So I would always make sure that I report on the 16th at the latest to be on the safe side.

Am I to understand from this article that the Nationwide closing time for bars etc is midnight? Exceptions being in some tourist hot spots?

This is a surprise to me as some Thai bars in Khon Kaen (hardly a tourist hot spot!) are open and thumping out music until 3 AM. They have been since re-opening after covid. I am aware of some Thai bars open til past 8 AM but with the volume reduced.
