About a year ago, I decided I would keep all new Rubber B20's I received in change and put them away, Last week (I don't go looking for them), I counted them and had B4,300. I didn't miss the money; that now gives me a feeling of having about B4,300 more than I thought.
That makes sense as a method of saving.
The fish guy's method makes no sense at all!
He sells a fish for x baht.
He then changes that x baht into 50 baht notes. I assume that means a trip to the bank as 50 baht notes are not that common.
He puts those notes in a bucket.
He is averaging close to 2000 baht per day so this must involve a fair amount of hassle.
After 6 months he has 6000 50 baht notes that he probably needs to change into larger denominations.
He could have just opened a savings account and paid the money into the account instead of changing it into 50 baht notes!

In Thailand, one can never know where one's wealth came from, anyone who lived in this country longer than a few months would be well aware that in Thailand, how shell we say? that Thai people, politicians included, not the most honest people in the world. Nuff said...
My question was "Do you think that his wealth is somehow related to his position as PM?" I asked this because that is what you appeared to imply in your earlier post.
I think that it would be impossible to amass that wealth through graft in the few months that he has been PM.

I don't get it!
Why the need to change the money to 50 Baht notes? Just save the money in whatever notes it happens to be.- 1

Why do we have to get a day by day account on how desperate Thailand is for Chinese tourism ?
What is this nonsense? Tourism from any county is just the same, but why specific begging Chinese tourism? What am i missing?
What does your post have to do with air fares??

She bought the same numbers almost every time
I have never bought a Thai lottery ticket, so I may be wrong, but I didn't think that you could choose particular numbers, I thought that you could only buy what numbers the vendor has available. If that IS the case it would make it nearly impossible to find the numbers 931446 almost every time!

Well New year is still more than a week away and, in my experience, very few places stock up well in advance.
You may have some people celebrating at Christmas in the tourist areas, but it isn't really a Thai thing.

Its all parallel parking out here in the sticks because angle parking requires to major skill lacking among the local populace:
1. The ability to reverse, and
2. The ability to use mirrors aside from blackhead management.
Both require reversing.
In my opinion it takes a lot more skill to parallel park compared to angle parking.

When you say "their", who are you referring to?
GoWholesale or Makro?

AFAIK 120 dB.
When playing music, less than this is illegal.
That is almost believable! Thais don't seem to realise that music can be played (and enjoyed) at less than maximum volume!
120 Db will most likely damage your hearing.

Absolutely no consideration for the staff that work in these places and have to work the next day.

That could hardly be considered a "hand out"! Just a gift from one person to another.

Oh yes the pork prices,i posted elsewhere (last week) that soon the pork prices would come down.
The reason?
I am not going to answer that, lets just say there was a incident that happened but not even the news is digging deeper.
The article is about pork prices dropping in October, i.e. over a month ago. So, whatever you posted last week cannot have affected the price in October!

the headline states that the man was punched to death. i'm betting that the blunt force of a steel object to the face was more likely the cause of death.
back to the bong.
Chanadate hit the guy with the shovel first. The guy responded by punching Chanadate, killing him.

Typical Thailand! Forced to apologise for identifying a safety issue!
If the descent is considered too dangerous without supervision, it does not suddenly become less dangerous if a tourist is unwell!

The first price they give you is usually just the cost of the frames (plus eye test) I think.

PM and his wife are worth Bt1.02 billion – NACC

So you obviously DO believe that the PM has amassed 1 billion baht in a few months by corrupt practices in his position as PM!
I believe that it is much more likely that he was wealthy before he became PM!
