if you sent the money from your home country to her bank and she bought a house and car, that is fine. But she cannot give you any of the money and you have to pay your own way not have her pay for everything.
In any event, you both have to sign at the Land office to say it’s her money and therefore her house and that you have no interest in it, this is normal anyway I believe.
Unless things have changed, I believe that you only have to sign this declaration if you are married to each other.

You can renew a license up to 3 months before its expiry date and up to 1 year late. You could go in say July or August and renew both at the same time. There'll be a bit of luck involved as to their new expiry years matching. The car one might get an expiry date one year earlier than your motocycle license. But they both will be set to expire on your birthday.
I am quite sure that if both are renewed on the same day, both will expire on the same date.
I renewed both licenses this year, one week after my birthday and both licenses are valid for 6 years (minus one week).

A Farang driving a motorbike and sidecar with passenger(s) in the sidecar may draw the attention of the police as an easy way to make a few baht!
You can carry goods but not passengers in the sidecar.

Makes no sense at all. Just yesterday reporting a possible 300 Baht fee due to too many tourists and today, concerns about the low season (that happens every year).
Surprised to see an advert for a cold brew beer at the top of the page. Such ads are not allowed are they?

All what I can see are hateful murdering Jews! 😳
Did you miss what happened on the 7th of October last year? You don't think that it was hateful, murdering Muslim savages that attacked Israeli citizens? The Palestinians started the war and what did they expect Israel to do? Slap their hands and ask them not to do it again?

How long are you comfortable to keep fresh meat in the refrigerator before you cook it?
Unless you know for sure that the meat is fresh, I think that it is best to always assume that it has been frozen and thawed.
Chicken I will cook the same day as I buy it or after 1 day maximum in the fridge. Pork, I will allow 2 days max in the fridge. Beef can stay in the fridge for 4 days.I will always check the smell and dump anything dubious. It is just not worth the risk.
Some places, I will never buy meat from due to the smell. Tesco no longer have a presence in Thailand, so i can say that I would not buy meat in some of their supermarkets due to the stink at the meat section!

There is absolutely no reason to be embarrassed to admit that you are British. His actions were not due to him being British but because he is a total Pratt!
I wish that many people on here would realise that certain behavior has nothing to do with whatever nationality the person may be. I think that you would probably find that a very low percentage of Brits would consider it acceptable to stroll naked on a Thai beach.- 2

the foto has been zoomed in considerably. this is one of those nasty little bugs that gather on the underleaf of plants. they congregate by the dozens and they look like white goop. nothing mysterious here... just 4got the name
I think that you are probably confusing them with whitefly larvae that you find on the underside of leaves or aphids that you tend to find on stems.

My most recent will was done by a lawyer and although very simple, cost 6,000 Baht.
My previous will (about 12/14 years ago) was done at the Amphur and cost 100 Baht, simple and quick. The fellow in the Amphur office actually drew up the will according to my instructions. The important thing is that i had to give my instructions in Thai as he wanted to be absolutely sure that I completely understood what I was signing.
I think that you will find that different amphurs and different officers may have different requirements, so it is best to visit your local amphur to enquire.

it's only a matter of time until their magic amulet fails them and they make a move this like
Very rarely, I read a report where someone walks away relatively unscathed from a bad crash and the credit their "miraculous escape" to some amulet or similar.
I've yet to see a single report where they state that somebody died in an accident despite having amulets in the vehicle. This suggests that survival is just a matter of chance and nothing to do with any amulets!
However, the vast majority of vehicles in Thailand have amulets and monks' daubing. In other countries, hardly any vehicles have such "protection", yet there are much fewer road deaths than in Thailand! So, statistically, this means that if you have a magical amulet in your vehicle, you are more likely to die than if you don't!

Such CoR can be obtained - usually at no cost - at the local Imm Office that issued your Non Imm O Visa/extension.
Usually at no cost?
I would think that they are rarely issued for free.
I got one this year and 2 years ago at Khon Kaen and both times they cost 500 Baht each! No receipt - of course!

Are you referring to the owner?
The owner is a woman. I don't know why but it always seems worse to me when these young girls are exploited by females.- 1

What people should really be focused on is what kind of blow back this rash of shocking incidents might elicit from immigration. The over-tourism and massive wave of foreigners granted long-term visas (especially in Phuket) appears to have reached some type of tipping point where apparently a growing number of people think they can do whatever they want in the Kingdom. Incivility, disobeying police officers, ignoring labor laws, ignoring visa terms and conditions, engaging in criminal activities, assaulting and verbally abusing Thais, etc. all appear to be on the rise. Anyone who thinks this type of behavior doesn't have potential repercussions is in for a rude awakening.
Heightened background checks, increased visa fees, increased visa requirements, retightening of TM-30 requirements could make the visa application and renewal process far more arduous than it currently is. Visa renewal denials, discontinuation of visa programs are also possibilities. Don't think that the humiliation of disarming a police officer and putting him in a choke hold doesn't increase the likelihood of the use of lethal force by police officers. Not to mention the erosion of general goodwill towards tourists and long-term visitors. Again, people like this need to clean up their act. Make no mistake, they are doing a great deal of harm, and potential repercussions are likely lurking right around the corner.
There are always going to be problems in holiday destinations unfortunately. Fortunately, there are few really serious incidents.
Considering the huge number of visitors to Thailand the incidents are relatively few and so i see no reason to trat all foreigners like criminals.

Removing footwear is the norm in Thailand. Far from stupid - I think that it is a great idea. Beats walking dirt, dog poo, whatever all over the place.
Maybe the lady lives in a shophouse? We do not know. It could also be her home.
The victim is the owner of the shop. Forget your western approach of 'it's the law'. No work - no dosh.
The victim is not the owner of the shop. She owns the shop next door to the coffee shop where the incident occurred.

I am amazed that they still have rice in storage after 10 years!
I wonder what the average storage cost per Kg of rice works out at. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they won't recover the storage costs!- 1

I am not in Bangkok, but every day I see parked vehicles left with engines running. Numerous people who do not switch off their engines when buying stuff from roadside stalls. Add in the ridiculously long unnecessary waits at red lights with engines running, that is a lot of pollution that could be avoided. I am guessing that it is much the same in Bangkok.

Nam prik is a paste...so how do UK customs classify it?
I wouldn't say that nam prik is a paste. It is usually a condiment with fish sauce, chili, garlic or shallots.
Prik kaeng is a paste.I think customs only classify as either solid or liquid (liquid includes gels). So I think that it will definitely be classified as a liquid if it is a paste.
