Maybe 15 or 20 years ago I recall hearing that in Korat in Thailand a hotel or maybe shopping complex about 7 story, as I recall, collapsed on the bottom floor, upper levels still intact, so it totally flattened the 1st floor and killed all the people on the first floor........ About a week afterward it was in the news that they found that the building was originally issued a building permit and designed for either a 3 or 4 floor building and then without stregning the lower levels they added the extra 3 or 4 levels................

TIT (That is Thailand).......... So very likely that Thai/Chinese were involved in that mess)

Seems very likely that the Chinese (always liking to cut costs 'cheap Charlies') may have done the same thing in Cambodia

I am hoping that this article reaches the right foundations to jump in and help this girl....... If not I would certainly donate 7000 to a secure caretaker..... I will continue to monitor this post for any organizations offering help or any go fund me activities......

Hoping good luck can occur for this girl and Mom......

I would say ..."beware" the potential hazards and following medical costs far out way the pennies you might save. 

My long time wife in Pattaya has a number of lady friends that she has known for years.... One lady works for the district offices in Banglamung and was given a truck/driver/test equip to go aroung testing those water machines..... Results:  Rarely was a machine anyway near to 'Passable Quality'...... Seems once a new machine was installed... NEVER were new filters installed......

I asked the Mrs. why the friend didn't write-up or have the machines taken out of service....... SHE SAID " that wasn't part of the friends job to do that"    You go figure is my thought...... THIS IS THAILAND (TIT)

I am suffering now at my home in the US, With a case of 'Dengue' I brought home from Thailand just recently...... 

Very miserable.....

I'm semi-retired in Thailand but still live in the USA..... I'm in my second week of a 'Dengue Fever' illness which set in just after my return home..... A very miserable (aching) illness with fevers and heavy fatigue-feeling............

Chikungunya is in the same 'group' with Dengus.....

Not to worry.......... unless you are the tax payer that is footing the bill..........you can be sure that MANY Thai officials, pocket a good chunk of graft money in to his off-shore bank account...... Their family will drive Benz's all their life thank you to continueing erosion of the beaches......... Have you thought about that??????? Maybe we would all like to be 'THAT' official..... LOL .....

Yes..... So strange....... "Big Joke"......... I replied to a post a week or two ago and commented about him...........

I farang friend of mine was talking to a group of 'his' Thai friends (businessmen/1 Lawyer) and over coffee something was mentioned about 'Big Joke'.... My friend said that the Thai guy said "He is DEAD"....... "They had him done-in"....... ever since my friend mentioned this to me I have been watching intently for any News about him -- and not seen anything since before he was supposed to have gone on his Holiday to America..... That is a long while back...... and he 'was' being followed by the news so regularly, even after his 'demotion'...... 

Has anybody heard anything current reporting any of his activity???

..Since this post is about Khon Kaen I don't want to get 'deleted' So If you want to know about Ban Chang .... USE MY PM (personal mail) instead..... I find Ban Chang to be nearer what Pattaya was 20 years ago........ I wish I did know more to help this poster in Khon Kaen, but hopefully some other locals will....

I Travel the areas from the Motorway 7 junction (above Pattaya) which seems completely finished and I travel the areas south of Pattaya on my way to Ban Chang...... All along the route at places i watched for a long while... There is no further construction (or even 'grass planting') going on............ BUT...... The end/terminus where it ends/connects to Hiway 3 (Sukhumvit road at Ban Chang).

There they are building a magnificent Overpass/ connector which appears to have had the job 'started' a year too late.......

As I watch the progress on the last bit....... My estimate (Possibly far from accurate) would be for an opening 4 to 6 months from now...... They seem in the last month (as I observe and wait anxiously) to be moving rapidly on that last bit...... Maybe they have moved men and equipment from the 'finished areas' and really working frantically to finish 'that last bit'........

Even if they do finish it all in my estimated time they may wait for the next 'coronation' Or 'Kings birthday' to open it........ LOL ...... TIT ........

HEY.... TIT .... This Is Thailand............ Did you ever think about the Thai guy Hanged her to get her out of the way of the new girl?????  Or antagonised her into the hanging herself...... 39 years don't normally react this way... It could have happened like they say.... But personally I'm not convinced...... The guy may have been a cop or son of a 'Big Cop' and got it all swept under the carpet......... Don't forget WHERE this Happened..... TIT....... LOL ......... 

Can you just imagine the headache that Prayuth is feeling now.......... Paybacks are 'HELL'.........

In Thailand..... EVERY 'improvement Job' means that there is part of that money that can be funneled into 'City officials' or OTHER 'significant Other's' POCKETS........ same as the sand job on Pattaya beach washing away.....

They LOVE it (The officials whose pockets it goes into)...... Any time you see a job in progress you can know that money is being skimmed off the top..... for some officials and his brother-in-law who is the 'contractor' doing the job...  TIT....

This can't help but bring out the 'muslim Hater' in most people...... If the average muslim condone this and stays quiet, and don't punish these guys within their religion.... Then they must approve of it and deserve the hate they get because of these guys.....

I KNOW there is many kind hearted muslims..... Why don't they get out?????.... If they stay in then they will be treated like these guys and hated also...... OR .... clean up their own religion for their own good.......

I hadn't given it much thought... But.... We haven't heard much from or about 'BIG JOKE' for several days now... Almost a week....

I didn't give it much thought although every time I saw something about him, I read it....

Today, a friend (expat) called me and asked if I heard anything about BIG JOKE lately.... and I admitted I hadn't......

My friend said he was having coffee with some men Thai friends and BIG JOKE was mentioned (one Thai friend is an attorney)......

One friend said.... HE IS DEAD......... This is Thai business people talking....... 'He's been done in"..... "He never was booked to America".... It just got me thinking that (TIT) this is Thailand.......... Maybe these guys know something we don't....

Me and the friend are not ready to accept this yet...... BUT ......

I am personally watching closely for any 'new' reports about him..... I hope soon we WILL hear more ABOUT HIM........

ONE more personal thought I have had....... was wondering if he could have set out to seek 'Political Asylum' after being threatened in Thailand.........

I HAVE NO FACTS...... I'm just 'thinking-out-loud' and sharing it.......... I HOPE we will learn that I AM WRONG..... BUT .... the story today got me thinking too much..........
