Brand new truck... Yes.... But if you drove in rain and they got moisture then it is perfectly normal..... And Thailand just has lots of rain.........   So I'd guess it is normal and it shows up more since the metal was just recently new and shiny........

And next week on the next trip to Italy she can 're-enact the crime'....... and the next trips as well.......... LOL ......

I'm curious what denomination the are???? If they are 100's they are the older model, not the newer model with the large gold 100 on the back... I can see that much in the picture....

     This story reminds me of an American Expat I know living in Pattaya who went to Phnom Pehn and came back to Thailand with a stack of 50 of the fake $100 notes.... He bought them in a market place for 2 or 3 USD so he took them just for amusement and passed them around..... AND THEN.... when I learned about it I suggested what could have happened to him if he had got caught at the airport entering Thailand with all those  counterfeit bills..... He had never gave it a thought but he was happy that he made it through with out that happening..... Can you just imagine if it had gone the other way?????

Have you noticed all the new penalties (and fines) that are in the news lately?????? The TM30 fines are some of the most prominent but news around Thailand recently is mentioning penalties, fines, and old laws starting to be enforced with fines involved...... Can you believe that it is anything else than money raisers for this newly elected junta government..... Finding all the new ways to grab money...but not spending it on school lunches of improving hospital care.... ONLY on Submarines and Armoured Personel Carriers and Tanks.......

At first I had similar thoughts, but considering Mr. Singh is probably Indian as well.... Then that wouldn't account for the girl being Half-Thai.... I'm thinking that Mrs. Singh probably lent the mother out to a Thai friend in exchange for return favors....... But we may never know....

Reading this part I can't help to wonder about the girls REAL mother and if that mother ever made contact after leaving her behind at 5 years old......... ALSO.... being half-Thai, I can't help but wonder about the mother's relationship with a Thai man and if it could have been rape or consentual when she got pregnant...... The mother being a servant offers many negative possibilities which could have led to the mother abandoning the girl...... It makes me curious to know more.... But I doubt we will hear more.....

Thai forum has a lot of USA bashers..... A lot of envious souls it seems.... I am 'AMERICAN' and proud to be so........... I have visited 89 'other countries' in my 79 years (quite likely yours) and let me tell you that out of 89 countries I didn't find 'ONE' other country I would choose..... and give up my US citizenship for....... Even with this 'jerk' we have for a president now (and I doubt for another 4 years) .......

Those of us who live here have benefits better than most countries, at least if you work and look after yourself....... We have some 'American free-loaders', granted.... but for people who 'aren't lazy'...... There is more 'opportunity HERE than most places......

As far as IRAN......... And North Korea...... let me paint a picture for those who can't understand America.......  Let's say that America (UK, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Australia, et all, included)  is a person and there is this 'mosquito' that keeps 'buzzing' around you and YOU know that the mosquito wants your blood.......WE here in the USA and most other countries may use a bit of time trying to chase the mosquito away without killing it..... But if it persists and we think it is about to 'sting' us........ WE will swat and kill that pesky mosquito.......

As an American I can look at Iran and North Korea as that small mosquito who is showing every sign of wanting our blood.....

I have my home in Pattaya (Darkside) with the Missus..... But I also keep an apartment in Ban Chang (4,000 Baht/Month) she don't know about..... I tell her I am overnighting with a friend in Ban Chang and sleep there somrtimes...... There is about 15 - 20 bars and many 'lovely lasses'..... about half the bars have rooms upstairs and 300 baht barfine...... I love that place and have many 'connections' there now.... and it is so close to Pattaya...... AND... It is more like what Pattaya was 20 - 25 years ago.......... FORGET Soi Diamond, Soi Lenke, and Walking Street..... Go sight-seeing down to Ban Chang...... You will discover a new world..... Lady-drinks 90-110 baht

AND People (at least some of them -- at least those who need to bring their own 'Shira law' with them) if they want to work they can go far in the USA and earn money good. They can make money 10-20 times what they made in Thailand (us$9- '300 baht' versus usd$100 '3,000 baht' -usd$150 '4,500 baht') for shorter work days........

Yes....... Many like to come to the USA........ I want them to come and work and displace a few of our welfare reciepients who don't want to work.......... Except I am with Trump in 'one way only'...... I don't want any Shira law coming here to replace/substitute for our national and constitutional LAW...... We have pretty great laws now......

It was just a few weeka ago a similar collapse in Cambodia (Sihanookville) occured....... 

It was reported that the company building it was Chinese........ (Always saving money)........

I can't help wonder of this was more Chinese people in charge............ 

I can remember also a tall building in Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) all upper floors collapsing on top of the ground floor...... everybody on the ground floor died........ Later it was learned that the building was only issued a permit  for 3 (or 4) levels but later was added to 7 floors illegally....

I can't forget that incident when I see this and the Canbodian collapse........

If he/she goes to jail I can't help wonder if he wil go in with the men or the women.....

Yes...... this was about to be my same reply.......... I think with the graft that there 'still is' in Thailand...... It may be possible that out of 17 billion..... 3 billion will reach the POOR farmers......

from the higher ups right down to the lowly (and local) 'Pua Yai Ban's' there are pockets of all levels of government who think a percentage is intended for them.........

We all must have pity for the 'POOR THAI' folks and we can justify our hate for the Thai (corrupt) government...... NOW.... More than ever before......

To the north of Pattaya is Bang Saen.... just a bit north of that is a road up a mountain where you can stop and have monkeys climb upon your car.... If you take a supply of bananas to feed them....

Keep in mind that these monkeys are very agressive to get 'treats' and will attact you in open areas to get food..... so stop your car and just crack your window enough to offer the bananas but not enough for the monkeys to reach inside....... there is normally 50 to 100 monkeys....... Many mothers carrying their babies....

Is this a husband/wife excursion???? If it is an all male excursion you might enjoy checking out some bars in Ban Chang.... about 40 minutes south of Pattaya...... travelling on Sukhumvit Hiway (Thai hiway #3) as you enter Ban Chang and at the First red light..... turn left.... starting at about 500 feet and ending at at about 1000 feet you will find the bars all in a row...... I have fallen in love several times there..... LOL .....
