  1. ill be flying with my 11 month old and this is what ill be doing.

giving her some calpol before take just in case her ears hurt and she is in pain,i don't give a dam if somebody gets upset if she cries as long as i know she is ok, and the first person to say something or give me a crooked look will have a problem.

i will also give her some glycerine & aniseed on her soother when taking off and landing. its great stuff fro keeping kids quite, tasty too.

sedating kids is wrong whatever way you look at it

That is the whole problem with many parents. It is great to make sure your child is happy and healthy, but when you brought her into the world, this was not the only responsibility you took on.

what are the other responsibility's i took on?My child is my number 1 concern, by doing what i said i was going to do,my child should be happy and not disturb other passengers and there will be no need to sedate her.if passengers cannot put up with a child crying for a portion of a flight, what sort of parents are they going to be

Some of us aren't parents and never want to be, that is our choice. Your choice was to be a parent, so act like one.

i don't get your point, did you not read my posts or did you just jump in head first

  2. Anyone know the bast option for getting to Trat from Mukdahan. I know the yellow bus to Patts runs close enough along that route but where would i get off and get a connecting bus to Trat. Other suggestions also greatly appreciated

  5. There seems to be good and bad points to this story but ill tell you a story i just heard from my wife yesterday.

Her niece's class(who is 5 years old) were be looked after by a class of 10 year old's on teachers request, not a good start.

The 10 year old's would not let her niece go to the toilet and she soiled herself.

She told the teacher when she got back and the teacher did not believe her and just taught she soiled herself by not using the toilet.

They gave out to her and hit her but cleaned her and left her wet and in dirty clothes all day without contacting the mother to come with clean clothes.

The grand mother cased trouble about this and the have pulled the niece out of the school.

Apparently the teachers tried to say they were in a meeting but the kids said they were just talking .

If this happened to my daughter i would have caused so no i would not send my daughter to a thai state run school without doing your home work first.

  6. This bloody nonsense of "we get ripped of the minute we arrive to the minute we leave" is really getting tiring.

The only holiday i ever taught i was getting ripped off and didn't like the people was sunny beach in Bulgaria. Awful place and experience.

So what did i do. I never went again. Simple

  7. People that don't know me in the village refer to me as 'Farang' unless they know that I am Swiss, then it's 'Swisserland'. I was called Farang today by a kid in Tescos. I called back 'Thai, Thai', which people generally seem to think to be funny. In the family I am 'Christian name', uncle, father or granddad.

I find myself referring to 'the Lao guy' or 'the Cambodia guy' when I don't know their names.

A sense of humour and maybe a little humility makes life much easier, don't you think?

Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app

good point.nobody ever called me farang but i heard in been mentioned but never taught it was in a bad way. Mostly i taught they were asking a lot of questions to my wife about what its like been married to a foreigner and living in a foreign land.

I made up plenty of names for the locals and cousins, mrs lao khao, mrs singha, mrs leo ect ect and we all got on great and still do. Everyone needs to lighten up and go with the flow

  8. It is so funny that so many talk about friends that have been burned? And then again there are so many that have been burned by their Ex's but most are not Thai but from their homeland. All I can see is that you have joined in a relationship and enjoying it so far and really that is just normal life no matter where on this earth you are. Congrats to you, your story sounds similar to mine and I have been with my missus 7 years now just married the last year. You sound like you already know all you need to know smile.png my advice is just enjoy everything if it dosn't work out that is life, if all works out thats a real bonus. Cheers

its always easier to say it was a friend, more likely it was themselves and just can't face the reality of way it happened

  9. ohhh my god ..... second timer to thailand ....... will the never learn about the truth behind the land of smiles ....... ric/ remember the ..... 3 F'S ok and it will save you milllions in the future .........................just like some poor lamb to the slaughter ....... will they never learn ........

    thailand ====== lieland ........ thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifwhistling.gif

so people loose millions and some loose millions sitting in bars all day, whats the difference, the first one still has his liver at the end of his life

  10. Integration ?? you will be tolerated but never accepted .So with houses being built ,businesses being thought about ,brother in law wine bar etc etc,i sense your in a world of hurt within 2 yrs ,i could be wrong but good luck with all that buddy

why would he never be accepted? going by your own bad experience ?

Wise up, "paddy ken", farangs are never accepted, just tolerated for their atm. Only a fool would build houses and buy trucks for the wifes brother

ha ha paddy ken,i like that and sooooo original.i like you name munger, what does that stand for? i think by reading your post i can see your about 15 years old in the head and wack off to the lingerie photo's in littlewoods magazine.

seems i have been accepted very easily, and i wish i could have some of the OP's skills and pass more time when i am about in the village. you just keeps spending your time turning tricks in pattaya young lad and have nothing but a high beer tolerance and a empty bank balance at the end of it,enjoy

  13. While i do not agree with most of the violence in Northern Ireland i believe she prolonged the troubles up there by about 10 years and made the situation for John Major and others that followed more difficult so i won't miss her too much

    No, That was the terrorists.

    totster smile.png

not only the terrorists.she could have brought parties to the tables much earlier than they did.

Come on Ken, the IRA welcoming gift to Thatcher was to car bomb Airey Neave in the Parliamentary car park, The IRA were a vicious fighting machine in the early 80's and they pulled off some spectacular attacks such as on Mountbatten, Warrenpoint et al.......the IRA did a poor job of indicating they were ready for peace at that time eh?

I am not a fan of the IRA in anyway but they were not the only ones bombing in the north. She did not seem to realize that. Going into the rights and wrongs of the troubles up there would require a whole new forum altogether

  15. It will be a shame if its the end after all Nicke done to get it up and running so successfully. Hopefully someone admin gets it together soon. I haven't post on it for a few years but Nicke was still a good friend of mine as he was to lots of people so keeping it going in his name is the least he deserves

  16. Try Paddyspalms.com.

You can get rooms for under 1000 depending on when you are going(may- dec). Nice pool and big rooms. I stayed in standard and i paid about 700 baht about 3 years ago in october. Nice room and balcony. Nice pub on the front, just avoid drinking pints of beer as they were about 200 baht. Nice pool and lovely view of the mountains.I would certainly stay there agian
