While I like my life here in Thailand as an adult, I would not want to raise a child here.
All about culture.
How could I teach a child here about being responsible, for his or her actions, for his or her son or daughter, for learning about science and arts?
How could I teach a child that there are laws and regulations when driving on these roads, when everything around teaches the opposite?
How could I teach a child that people should be able to enjoy peace and quietness in their own home, when everything around teaches the opposite?
How could I teach a child that tobacco is a slow poison, while most believe that it is just a prerequisite to being an adult??
How could I teach a child that sugar is a slow poison, when it is just impossible to find a meal that does not contain sugar.
How could I teach a child that garbage belongs in a garbage bin, when it is so easier to just drop it on the ground?
And so on...
Culture.
A poor parent will be a poor parent irrespective of their culture.

In another thread I offered to eat my flip-flops if 2022 incoming tourists reach 2 million.
I'm raising the stakes and am now offering to slam my personal appendage in a car door - repeatedly.

To answer the actual question, the stalls on Pattaya Beach Road used to sell air pistols and the like. And they seem to be open at the moment after the plandemic closedown.

That's a malicious rumor concocted by the Orstraylians. The only place in the world you can buy velcro gloves is Australia.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm unable to notice if they're driving drunk or not. They don't seem to drive any differently.

Back when the world was normal a friend of mine would drag me to Walking Street and we'd sit in an outside bar on the corner of Soi Diamond.
Between 7pm and 8:30pm it was common to see many husbands/boyfriends (often with a kid on the scooter as well) dropping off the wives/girlfriends to go dance in the gogo bars. I know they were dancers and not service staff because my <deleted> of a friend would also drag me reluctantly to the bars,
I mean, could have been their brothers.....but doubtful.

You want 80N from Hafele. You can buy online or in shop. I have identically weighted doors to you and the 80N are perfect. 60N will be too slow on opening and probably won't get to the required height.
They are dirt cheap so even if they don't suit you can buy the 100N. I tried the 100N on a slightly larger cupboard and it opened like gates at the start of a horse race and it needed Arnold to close them.
EDIT: You can also cheat when you install them to get more/less speed and opening angle depending on how close you mount them to the hinge edge of the door or the jamb itself. I adjusted mine because they were a little slow and didn't open with enough angle. 5mm makes a big difference to the smoothness of their operation.

The only decisions made in LOS are random, so your expectations will surely be met.

Maybe they found a floater.
On the other hand, necessity being the argument of tyrants and the creed of slaves, it is only appropriate that the tyrants and slaves follow their natural inclination.
The tyrants rope off the pool because they can, and the slaves keep out because they must.
Apologies to William Pitt (the younger) for plagiarism.

And the answer is usually one or more of,
1. drowning in debt,
2. a nightmare to live with,
3. mentally ill,
4. frigid,
5. unlucky in love.
I've not yet encountered a 5., but there must be a few.
Not to mention her children......

He should just ask her. Thais are not generally backward in coming forward about money (or lack thereof).
They need to know the pecking order so the wealthiest person is the one that pays the restaurant bill.
In fact she'll probably consider it an insult that he hasn't asked her yet.

I just had a vision of these dudes calling a Grab delivery rider (on a fossil fueled scooter) to deliver a replacement battery to them when inevitably the amps run out and they are marooned.

Well, I was assuming the singlet was automatically stained. To this day I've never yet seen anybody wearing a Chang or Singha t-shirt that wasn't stained.

Seriously, I don't think referring to the Chang singlet wearing sun-baked foreigners gives us the overall image of the true breed.
I think we need clarification as to the size of their beer belly, their relative level of baldness, and if their knuckles did or did not drag on the ground.

Same happening in Pattaya. The government for years have under estimated the trickle down effect of tourist spending. They are too xenophobic to admit that although they begrudgingly have stated it may be "up to 20%", in reality they knew it was more like 30-40%.
If you count the multiple times every dollar sourced from overseas passes through a Thais hand, the trickle down effect is huge. That means that while the immediate impact can be seen and felt in the businesses dealing directly in accommodation and hospitality, the wages and profits that would otherwise be sourced from these industries have dried up and cash is not for discretionary purchases.
The discretionary spending of the bottom 50% of Thais has disappeared. Whatever money they have is spent on basic survival and to some extent the food supply and necessity spending of Thais lays within it's own circular economy and the same limited money supply circulates within it. That closed economy does not include medium retail or anything remotely related to discretionary spending.
The one exception being phone shops.
