What did they suffer? Beside lack of tourists which is not really that governments. They handled Covid badly but so did most countries. What else? -
Biden is extreme on it, but more or less the USA is doing the same for decades...only wiser presidents didn't use the Dollar as weapon as you can do it only once....better your enemy trade with Dollar than with their own money....It is not all Bidens fault....Only he handles it as great as the Afghanistan withdraw..... Historical when empires loose their power they also get such bad politics.

Why do you want to change? What is currently so bad in Thailand? What greed? Thailand has lower taxes than most other countries, better infrastructure and it is extreme easy and cheap to open a company. With all the coups and the political discussions, Thailand is doing well in life quality, far better than their neighbors, Lao, Myanmar, Cambodia. So why the need to drastic changes? -

Demand For 712 Baht Minimum Wage Nationwide At May Day Rally

yes but noone understands that.....some people still thinks you can make everyone wealthy by ordering the companies to pay their staff more than it is worth. If someone want to rise their salaries the way would be to restrict cheap labor from Myanmar and Cambodia. Than there would be a shortage and therefor competition for workers. And the companies need to work more efficient, investing in training and machines. That all at big costs for the economic and inflation, but the worker would have more. Only rising brings even more inflation, maybe unemployment and only higher numbers on the bank account but not more purchasing power. -

why not instead, try to improve education and training so the workers are worth more money? You can't lift up people with regulations -

Cannabis and the Upcoming Election

That is easily done....you say by 2024 it is forbidden but till 2025 you don't punish, you only hand out warnings and confiscate it. Of course it would not make sense, but the original ban never made sense as well. -
Electric Vehicle Registrations Increase for 3rd Consecutive Month

What I read was the respond to it, where they told it is not true because lot of this energy is solar, so you need it "double" but I don't have the link, and didn't read/remember in detail. Their point was that for every solar panel/windmill you need a conventional power plant as backup, so you end having way more capacity than needed on the book, but in reality you need it. The argument is true, but if it is the case with EGAT, I don't know. -
If want to go for the cheap: 3 solar panels with 340 Watt peak each: 12000 Baht 1000 Watt solar inverter from Aliexpress...not approved for Thailand $100 all incl For on grid usage 2000-3000 Baht for the local motorbike taxi mafia to mount them on your roof. For off grid you buy additional something like a 3000 Watt off grid device...Don't know $200-300 Or dedicated battery charger + 3000 sinus wave inverter 2 or 4 car batteries for women (they promoted it a few years ago like that....now we may need to read as sure they are political correct now) Car Batteries that can be drained a few times to zero and don't die. 3500 Baht/pcs If there is no electric you put the solar panels to the off grid device. 2-4 Batteries is enough for a big fridge or 2 small to come over the night. And the oversized good batteries can stand that if used only when there is a problem. If have something like that,,,just much bigger

I read the claim....Which means that I don't know if it is true....that a good part of the surplus is solar, so in morning/evening there is no surplus. If there is such a big surplus why the electric is so expensive? The 36% more expensive power plants should be shut down. I would not phase out any old coal fired (and cheap) generators until electric hits a 2.5 Baht/kWh. If they phase them out now they get into the situation like Germany...more demand, less production. Yes I read about people who wanted to do everything correct and sell back solar power to EGAT......Alone the costs of a proper licensed install with the certified parts is far more expensive than it should be.....Normally Bangkok should be full with panels..... -

more electric cars but we are not investing in more electric power plants? Put solar on the roof or build nuclear power plants or both
